Awakened: Evolving to Godhood

An instant after the beautiful receptionist said those words, a notification rang in their quantum cards, forcing them to look at it. They saw that it says, as soon as they break the rule of revealing the information about the magic matrix to anyone, the curse that the magic association placed inside of the magic matrix engraved on their bodies will activate, sealing their voice and superpowers immediately. Their brains will also experience excruciating pain for a few moments, forcing them to blank out.

John and Lisa read the warning with a disgruntled expression on their faces as they didn't like such a rule imposed on them at all. Theo outwardly seemed fine with it, but his hands clutched into a fist said it all. Elliot, on the other hand, already knew about it, and he also didn't care about the warning they got from the association as he had already gotten rid of the curse!

Theo, Lisa, and John cursed the association in their heart for a while before moving towards the mission section of the hall with Elliot in tow. They first entered the miscellaneous mission section and then the item gathering mission section in order to search for a mission that they can complete in minutes or hours. However, going through the details of the missions left them with disappointment as both of these sections did not have missions that teenage magicians like them can complete within a short amount of time.

Most of the missions in the miscellaneous mission section required a minimum of three to seven days to complete, and they were about cleaning the public bathrooms for seven days or helping someone find their lost pets. Something that they refused to do.

On the other hand, to complete an item gathering mission, they needed to collect herbs and other items from planet Xavier's wilderness. Such herbs and stuff weren't easy to come across as finding and collecting them depended more on luck rather than skills, so if they are unlucky, then they won't be able to complete such a mission even in a week.

"There really aren't any missions that can be completed within less than five days," John said, an exhausted look on his face.

"Let's not give up," Lisa said, patting his back.

"Yeah," Elliot said. "We still haven't checked the missions related to monsters and criminals subjugation. Who knows? Maybe we will find a mission that can be completed in a short time while looking through them."

"Then, let's go there," Theo said before he started walking towards the mission section next to them. John, Elliot, and Lisa followed in tow.

After reaching that place, they started to look through the missions, which were about killing monsters and criminals.

"This one looks good," Theo said after a few moments as he pointed at a holographic screen floating next to him.

[Mission Detail: Find and kill all of the members of the Black Skull Rouge Magicians hiding somewhere in the outer parts of the New Moon Woodlands.

Mission difficulty: E+.

Note: Bring the heads of the rogue magicians to the receptionist of the mission hall as that will verify that you've completed the mission.

Maximum number of participants: 4 magicians.

Mission completion Rewards: 40000 magic coins.]

"Let's accept it," Elliot said, telling them to let's do this mission.

"Alright!"

"Guys, come here and scan the magic scan on the upper edge of this screen to register yourself as a person participating in this mission," Theo said before he took out his quantum card and used it to scan the magic code that was at the upper part of the holographic mission screen.

Elliot, John, and Lisa also walked up to the holographic mission screen next to Theo and scanned the magic code on it, registering themselves as participants.

They left the mission hall after that and went down the stone-paved path, heading towards the gates.

"Halt! What's your purpose from coming down the mountain?"

The guards at the gates stopped them when they saw the four of them approaching.

"We need to go out to the New Moon Woodlands to complete a mission," Elliot said to the guards.

"Pass us your quantum cards." One of the guards said, asking them to hand over their quantum card to them.

"How long will it take?" Elliot asked as one of the guards took his card.

"It will only take a few moments."

They gave their quantum card to the guards, and a few moments later, the guards verified that they are indeed participating in a mission.

"Okay, it's done!"

The guards said as they passed their quantum cards back to them.

"Good luck completing the mission!"
