Blood was everywhere, splattering around where Clement had stood, but Eric remained completely untouched.

This scene is truly too overwhelming for the senses.

Many students with poor psychological resilience fainted.

"Calm down! Quiet! Don't run around!"

The prefects and professors were trying their best to maintain order, but the voices of one or two people alone were of little use at this time.

Panic began to spread, and many people tried to run out of the auditorium without regard for the consequences.

From the professor's seat, Lupin looked in astonishment at Eric, who was still standing in the dueling arena.

He knew Eric wouldn't kill Clement, but at this point, any further explanation would probably be useless.

Lupin turned his head to look in another direction of the auditorium and nodded at a large black dog that had appeared in the corner.

The big black dog, having received a response, turned and ran quickly out of the auditorium.

"Oh my god, what is that!"

A professor next to Lupin exclaimed in surprise as he pointed to the location of the dueling arena.

Lupin noticed it without Lupin needing to say it.

The spot where Clement had been standing had changed again.

At the location of Clement's "corpse," a green, prototype-shaped orb of light appeared.

A green orb mixed with thin black lines rose into the air, then twisted and expanded into the shape of a skull.

Above the skull is a unique triangular symbol.

There is a ring at the center of the triangle, and a vertical line passes straight through the ring.

"This is..." Lupin's eyes widened immediately upon seeing the sign.

Many experienced professors also exclaimed in surprise.

They might not recognize the meaning of the markings above the skull, but any wizard who lived through the Voldemort era would be familiar with this green skull.

That's the Dark Mark!

After each targeted attack, the Death Eaters would release a Dark Mark at the scene.

And now, the Dark Mark has actually appeared inside Hogwarts!

Upon seeing the appearance of the Black Magic Mark, the already chaotic crowd became even more panicked.

The professors' voices were drowned out by cries, and students in the audience scrambled to get out.

Suddenly, a beam of white light shot out from the professor's seat, struck the Black Magic Mark, and shattered the skull.

"Quiet, everyone!" Dumbledore's voice rang out, as always, resonating throughout the room and giving everyone a sense of security.

Dumbledore's expression was unusually sinister as he loudly proclaimed, "Students of all years, led by their prefects and professors, are returning to the common rooms in an orderly fashion. This is not an attack. As long as I am here, Hogwarts remains safe."

Dumbledore's voice seemed to have a magical power, always able to soothe panicked crowds in time.

The students, who had been fleeing in all directions, stopped in their tracks, looking toward Dumbledore's location in confusion.

Only after noticing that Dumbledore remained calm did their reason return.

The voices of the prefect and professors were once again taken seriously in the crowd, and the students around them spontaneously formed lines.

More and more people stopped running away and turned to join the ranks.

Of course, most importantly, after the Black Mark appeared, no further surprises occurred.

Eric remained standing still.

He stared at the Black Magic Mark in front of him, his expression somewhat bewildered.

He was very familiar with the triangular mark above the Black Magic Mark.

That was the mark that Grindelwald had given him back at the Leaky Cauldron in order to gain Fudge's trust.

I never expected to see this mark at Hogwarts now.

It's still in the body of the already dead Clement!

Eric instantly connected all the events in the sequence of events.

The mastermind hiding inside the castle, Clement controlled by the Imperius Curse, the black gas emanating from Clement like a Dementor...

There's also Clement's rapid improvement in strength in a short period of time, and Clement's suicidal explosion.

Clement's death was not a simple suicide.

This is more like a declaration.

This signals the return of the organization that champions this symbol!

If they want to achieve this effect, there is currently no activity more eye-catching than the Duel Club.

Eric couldn't help but smile; the coincidence was indeed too much.

The storm he stirred up with his butterfly has returned to him today in such a shocking form.

He just happened to be at the heart of the storm.

Who would have thought that Grindelwald's remnants were still active and had infiltrated Hogwarts!

If they are behind it all, then everything makes sense.

Eric didn't know when they had taken control of Clement, nor did he know about Clement's relationship with them.

But Clement is most likely just a victim.

Snape's search inside the castle will most likely be in vain.

Eric stood still, and his actions were quite helpful in calming the situation, at least preventing further chaos.

Dumbledore canceled the Amplification Charm and turned to Professor McGonagall and Snape beside him, saying, “Severus, you know what to do. Find their location. After that, go to Nurmengard. As far as I know, the person imprisoned there won’t be involved, but we need to confirm.”

Snape nodded and turned to leave.

Dumbledore then said to Professor McGonagall, "Minerva, I want you to immediately inform the Ministry of Magic and tell Fudge to bring the Aurors and the Division of Magical Law Enforcement over here."

Professor McGonagall nodded and left; liaising with the Ministry of Magic had always been part of her job.

Lupin said from the side, "Dumbledore, Eric had no motive to kill Clement."

Dumbledore said, “I have never doubted Eric Remus, but legally speaking, this has happened unexpectedly, and the Ministry of Magic must intervene. We need to use a Flashback Charm on Eric’s wand. If he did not use a spell that could kill Clement, then no one can hold Eric guilty.”

Chapter 116 A good show

This year, the Duel Club has had a rough year.

First Eric appeared, then Cedric and Clement got into a fight, and now Clement has completely lost it.

It literally exploded.

After the scene quieted down a bit, students from each college returned to their respective colleges under the guidance of their deans.

Most of the professors stayed on.

When Flitwick, who was pointing his wand at Eric, saw Eric's attitude, he almost immediately realized that he had overreacted.

Whether judged from Eric's perspective or from the perspective of a beneficiary, Eric could not be the murderer who killed Clement.

Doing this will not do Eric any good.

Lupin and the two professors, under Dumbledore's direction, took over Professor Flitwick's duties and were responsible for watching over Eric.

Interestingly, Eric kept his wand and never handed it over.

Dumbledore did not issue a statement to confiscate Eric's wand.

Although everyone present saw it, Clement died after Eric attacked him.

But without Dumbledore's orders, no one dared to provoke this trouble.

Lupin, leading the team, exchanged a knowing glance with Eric, making no mention of confiscating the wand.

If anyone present was pleased to see this happen, it was Rita Skeeter standing to the side.

She waited by the dueling arena for a whole day and finally stumbled upon this big news.

Clement suddenly appeared, first fighting Cedric, and then being killed by Eric in one blow.

She had already drafted a plan on how to weave this emotional storyline.

The other reporters from other newspapers did not collect as much information as she did, nor did they have as much complete data.

If the article can be sent back to the newspaper immediately, the Daily Prophet will once again grab the headlines tomorrow.

As Rita Skeeter was about to leave, Dumbledore stopped her.

“Rita, I would be very grateful if you could stay a little longer,” Dumbledore said with a smile.

Rita Skeeter glanced at Dumbledore warily and said, "You're not trying to stop me from publishing the manuscript, are you? That's impossible; this can't be kept secret."

Dumbledore said, "I know, everyone here saw it. I don't want you to retract the manuscript, I just want you to stay a little longer and wait for the truth to come to light before publishing it."

Rita Skeeter asked doubtfully, "The truth? Didn't Eric kill his classmate? I didn't see wrong, and I didn't have a camera."

Rita Skeeter glanced at the other reporters, and as they hurried away towards the owl hut, her expression became anxious.

Dumbledore stopped trying to persuade him and instead laughed, “If you leave like them, you’ll only get a mediocre article for the Daily Prophet. If you stay, you’ll get exclusive news.”

This statement convinced Rita Skeeter.

She stopped, repositioned the camera, and her quill pen flew up and down as she quickly made notes on the parchment in her hand.

At this point, the Ministry of Magic finally arrived, albeit late.

Led by Professor McGonagall, Amelia Bornes, the Director of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, appeared at the entrance of the Great Hall with a group of Aurors.

Accompanying them was another person, the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge.

Fudge's expression couldn't be worse when he saw Eric.

It's him again.

Last time, at the Leaky Cauldron, it was Eric who bypassed him and told Harry about Sirius Black. Now, it's Eric who's causing trouble again.
