Underground bat base.
Several figures took the elevator from the villa directly to the underground base, and the surrounding lights were turned on, reflecting on their faces.
“After you left, Bruce thought that a few people wouldn’t be enough to protect the Earth, so he had us recruit a lot of trustworthy people. Now the team has more than twenty people.”
Aquaman Arthur glanced at Rowe beside him, then at Pandora out of the corner of his eye, before continuing, "Having more people makes things easier for us, since anything can happen in the outside world."
"That's a really good idea."
As expected, the fact that Steppenwolf was leading the Otherworlders in an attempt to invade Earth was enough to make the cautious Bruce consider several options, with the Justice League undoubtedly being the most important one.
"Superman, I've always wanted to ask you, is your home planet the same as Earth? Why do Kryptonians and Earthlings look so alike? We look exactly the same."
Barry Allen, who was swaying behind him, couldn't help but speak up.
"Shut up. The universe is so vast, there are countless races similar to us."
Hal, the Green Lantern, said speechlessly.
“I’ve never lived on Krypton, but Hal is right. There are many similar races in the universe, and you may see more in the future.”
Lowe patiently explained, and then saw Aquaman, saying, "Where are Bruce and Diana? They came to me, but they didn't show up. You have to tell me what happened."
"Things are a bit complicated."
Arthur Curry scratched his beard, looking somewhat hesitant.
"It's Atom Girl. She's infiltrated the Justice League, and now she's gotten herself into trouble, and it's quite a big problem, which is why you need so many people."
Rowe relayed Arthur's hesitant words directly.
"Did you guess it?"
Arthur Curry was surprised.
"Superman, you guessed right."
Deep within the base, a door opened, and Bruce's voice came through, followed by his appearance in everyone's view. "I'm sorry, Atomic Girl attacked the Self-Improvement Department. None of us expected her to be an inside agent. She took some members of the Justice League without authorization to attack the Self-Improvement Department."
“Atomic Girl is a well-known superhero, so I guessed you would definitely recruit her, and you didn’t take me to the Justice League headquarters, but to your house.”
Before Lowe arrived, it was indeed impossible to be certain whether Atom had joined the Justice League.
However, after Batman requested backup, he realized that things were not simple and had already involved the Justice League.
"I'm sorry, this was my dereliction of duty. Most members of the Justice League are not trustworthy right now."
Bruce Wayne wasn't wearing his battle suit, and his tired face and dark circles under his eyes showed how haggard he was. "We're short-handed and need your help."
"It was indeed your fault regarding the Atomic Girl incident, but fortunately, she didn't make a serious mistake. She stole an item, which can be considered as indirectly helping us."
Lowe didn't blame Bruce. Outsiders are too insidious. Even the cautious Bruce couldn't have imagined that the famous superhero would actually be a spy sent by the enemy.
"What did she steal?"
Bruce Wayne was curious upon hearing this.
The surrounding people also turned their attention to Luo.
On Wei's body.
"The Magic Box".
Without wasting words, Luo Wei went straight to the point, informing everyone of the roles played by the Magic Box, the Outsider, and Atomic Girl within it.
This also includes the plans of the Kryptonian Drew Zod.
To put their minds at ease, since Rowe wasn't sure if these guys in front of him were harboring resentment because of Drew Zod.
"Outsiders? You're waiting for them to show up?"
Bruce Wayne stroked his chin and said, "Actually, I called you here for two reasons. One is about Atom, and the other is that I discovered a strange organization that is disrupting order. I suspect it is related to Atom."
"Do you have a clue?"
Pandora, who had been silently following behind the group, couldn't help but interject and ask.
"Who is this?"
Bruce Wayne then noticed the women in the crowd who were relatively petite.
“Pandora, one of our own. She is a wizard, and she has been guarding the box for so many years.”
Luo Wei briefly introduced Pandora's identity.
"You guys come with me."
Bruce Wayne looked away and strode toward the work area where the computers were placed, saying as he walked, "When Atom left the Justice League, she also copied all the Justice League's identity files."
"Then you won't be able to hide it anymore?"
Lowe was surprised that Bruce had been exposed by Atom.
"Don't be nervous, I didn't put the identity files of important personnel on it, those are all the files of new employees."
The important people Bruce Wayne was referring to were naturally the few people around him.
"You are indeed very cautious."
Luo Wei smiled. The old man was really ripping people off, only recording the identities of newcomers and not his own or Haiwang's.
“I know what you’re thinking, but those new recruits’ files were all submitted by them when they joined the Justice League. I never intended to expose their identities.”
Bruce Wayne said somewhat helplessly, "But it contains my analysis of everyone's weaknesses, including some of ours."
"Bruce, this time you've messed up with your own people."
Arthur Curry gave a cold laugh, clearly somewhat displeased.
Lowe understood Aquaman's feelings; after all, no one wants to be studied by someone they trust, especially when that person is researching their weaknesses.
He looked at Bruce and asked, "Me too?"
"I treat everyone equally."
Bruce Wayne didn't hide anything and nodded.
"I'm really looking forward to your proposal."
Lowe was curious: Bruce didn't know about the existence of Kryptonite yet, so what kind of protective file would he have for Superman?
"Let's look at the clues first."
Bruce Wayne poured himself a drink, turned on his computer, and pulled up a slightly blurry photo. The photo contained a spray-painted logo resembling a "U".
The "U" spray paint is applied to an old wall.
He took a sip of his drink, then found several photos and arranged them on the screen in order. They were all spray-painted patterns, some sprayed on stone bricks in alleyways, some on manhole covers, and some on other interior surfaces.
The patterns are an owl, an "X", an "S", and a strange "V" shaped lightning bolt.
They also used different colors of spray paint: black, green, red, and yellow. The seemingly ordinary spray paint gave off a strange...
A sense of familiarity.
It seemed to have some strange connection with the people present.
"The quality of these spray paints is not good. They look like they were just sprayed on randomly. The person who sprayed the paint is not professional. He is very amateur."
Bruce Wayne looked at the spray paint and made a simple analysis.
“Honestly, Bruce, these spray paints are weird. How can you be sure they’re connected? I think it’s probably just something some bored people sprayed on.”
Arthur Curry looked at it for a while before speaking.
"No, no, no, you're wrong, completely wrong. It's obvious that this spray painting was done by one person. His technique is consistent, and even if he tries to change it, you can still tell."
Barry Allen, with his extensive experience, immediately spotted the problem.
"You know about criminal investigation?"
Arthur Curry looked at the tall, thin young man.
"I work for the police department in Central City."
Barry Allen looked proud. If he weren't a superhero, he would be at a crime scene collecting evidence right now.
"Superman, what's your opinion?"
Seeing that Lowe was staring at the screen in silence, Bruce Wayne couldn't help but ask.
“I recognize these patterns; to be precise, each one corresponds to a person.”
Luo Wei said slowly.
"Who does it correspond to? Is it related to outsiders?"
Bruce Wayne asked.
Then, seeing Luo Wei nod, everyone's eyes fell on him, waiting for him to give an answer, since the outsider had never actually appeared from beginning to end.
Atomic Girl is just a pawn, someone who can manipulate the entire chessboard from behind the scenes, making everyone curious.
"Night Owl, Superpower, Super Queen, Divine Ring, Quick."
Luo Wei recognized the four patterns, each corresponding to a name.
His expression was somewhat complicated, because only he knew that these people were actually the counterparts of the "Justice League" on Earth-3, the "Criminal Syndicate".
Night Owl corresponds to Batman; in Earth-3, he is Bruce Wayne's brother.
Superpower corresponds to Superman.
The Super Queen corresponds to Wonder Woman.
The Power Ring corresponds to Green Lantern.
Quick is the counterpart to The Flash.
They possess abilities comparable to those of the core members of the Justice League, and some are even stronger than the core members in various aspects.
Moreover, they exist in the same way as Earth 3.
Their personalities are also the opposite of the Justice League; they believe in the supremacy of evil.
"What a strange name."
Barry Allen felt something was off.
