Harry, his two companions, and Aaron carefully left, wearing invisibility cloaks. Aaron, however, acted very casually, but he didn't attract the attention of anyone inside the hut.
"Where is that beast?" McNeil asked coldly.
“Outside, outside,” Hagrid said hoarsely.
McNeil looked out the window and saw that Buckbeak was still there, then he pulled his face back.
Fudge's voice came through, "We have to read you the official execution notice, Hagrid."
I'll read it quickly, then you and McNeil will need to sign it..."
“The opportunity has come,” Harry whispered to the two of them. “You wait here, I’m going to save it.”
“There’s no need for that,” Aaron said, stopping him.
“Of course I have. I’ve spoken with Buckbeak, and I’m the most suitable person to go,” Harry said, but the next moment a white shadow flashed in his sight.
Abe darted quickly into the pumpkin patch, its cat-sized body completely hidden by the pumpkins. No one in the hut could spot it; if the three of them hadn't been positioned at a slightly higher elevation, they probably wouldn't have seen it either.
Abe walked up to Buckbeek and extended a kind paw.
A flash of silver light disappeared in an instant, and the rope binding Buckbeak was cut by the claws without any resistance.
The winged hippogriff stood up and looked at the tiny creature radiating absolute pressure in front of it, not daring to make a move for a moment.
Abe looked around, then spread its wings and flew away, one claw holding onto the rope around Buckbeak's neck, the other pointing towards the Forbidden Forest.
Buckbeck didn't dare disobey Abe and obediently flew behind him.
Harry and Hermione were stunned by what they saw.
They thought it would be a very troublesome matter, but to their surprise, they didn't even have to lift a finger.
The entire process was not only risk-free, but also unexpectedly dramatic.
"This, this, this..." Harry struggled to find the words to say.
"You've been planning to have Abe save it all along?" Hermione looked at Aaron with a complicated expression. "But why didn't you tell us?"
"Why should I tell you?" Aaron retorted. "You've looked up a lot of cases for this one. Wouldn't telling you this dampen your enthusiasm?"
To be honest, I still had a sliver of hope for you, but I didn't expect you to lose the case.
Draco is my friend, and Buckbeak hurt him, so I have no reason to save him.
But Hagrid looked so pathetic crying, so to protect his fragile heart, I had no other choice but to resort to this tactic.
Rescuing the hippogriff right under their noses, even if they find out, they can't blame Hagrid; at most, it'll be seen as Buckbeak escaping.
Hearing this, Hermione felt inexplicably ashamed. She had previously complained that Aaron was heartless, but now she just felt a stinging pain in her cheek.
A few minutes later, Hagrid and his companions slowly walked out of the house.
But the next moment they were all dumbfounded. Buckbeak had disappeared, leaving only an empty pumpkin patch.
"Where is it?" Fudge asked, looking bewildered. "I just saw it, and then it disappeared. It's so strange."
“Oh no, Dumbledore, someone has clearly let it go,” the old committee member whispered.
“Bick,” Hagrid murmured, but a hint of smugness flickered across his lips.
"Hagrid, Buckbeak..."
Just as Fudge was about to ask if it was related to him, Dumbledore interrupted, "The minister didn't say it was related to you, Hagrid."
"How could it be you? You've been with us the whole time."
“Alright!” Fudge said helplessly, “Then we’ll have to search the entire site.”
“Search the skies if necessary, Minister.” Dumbledore implied that the escaped creatures were flying magical creatures, then smiled at Hagrid. “Now I’d like a good cup of tea, or a large glass of brandy.”
"Executioner, we may no longer need your services here. Thank you."
“I don’t have any small cups in my room, Professor.” Hagrid happily invited Dumbledore into the hut, while McNeil angrily picked up an axe and chopped a pumpkin in half.
"So this is what we heard a few hours ago," Aaron chuckled. "As expected of an executioner, it really does sound like a head rolling."
“We have to get Buckbeak back,” Harry said urgently.
“Let’s go to the Forbidden Forest!” Aaron shrugged. “Abe will bring it back.”
The three carefully entered the forbidden forest, gazing at the swaying willow tree in the wind from afar.
Aaron spoke in a murmured tone, summoning his dragon cubs in the dragon language.
Soon, the sound of hooves reached the three of them. Turning their heads, they saw the winged harpy slowly approaching, with Abe sitting majestically on its back.
"My Merlin!" Harry's lips twitched violently, feeling as if there was something wrong with his worldview.
He went through so much effort to gain Buckbeak's approval when he took the Magical Creatures Protection class; every step was fraught with anxiety.
Even if humans are inferior to dragons, Abe's approach is still a bit too easy.
Abe flapped his wings and flew to Aaron, pointing at Buckbeak. "I did a pretty good job, didn't I?"
"You did a very good job. I'll treat you to some meat when we get back."
Hermione and Harry tied Buckbeak to a tree and then sat on the grass to wait for what would happen.
As darkness fell, they saw Lupin enter the tree hollow. Not long after, Snape arrived, but he seemed to have noticed something. He picked up an invisibility cloak from the ground, put it on, and entered the secret passage.
“Harry, there’s something I don’t quite understand,” Aaron said hesitantly. “When you and Black were surrounded by Dementors, what was that Patronus Charm you used…?”
“I don’t know either.” Harry shook his head. “I was almost passing out when I saw something silver fly across the lake and drive away the Dementors.”
Ron and I thought it was you!
"How could it be me? I can handle one Dementor, but a group of them is too much to ask."
"Who could it be?" Hermione asked curiously. "I remember Dumbledore saying that only truly powerful wizards can cast the Patronus Charm."
“I can’t agree with that,” Aaron said dismissively. “To be precise, only talented and kind-hearted wizards can learn the Patronus Charm.”
As for the power of this spell, it depends on the wizard's skill; the more magic the wizard possesses and the longer they can maintain the spell, the greater its power.
"Harry, did you get a good look at that wizard?" Hermione asked anxiously. "Was it one of the professors?"
“No, it wasn’t the professor,” Harry said regretfully. “I could tell he was familiar, but he didn’t seem to want me to know who he was. Maybe he was one of my dad’s friends!”
Aaron and Hermione exchanged a glance, neither confirming nor denying.
After all, so much has happened tonight. One wizard after another from Harry's father's generation has appeared, so one more wouldn't be unacceptable.
Chapter 327 Fighting the Werewolf, Banishing the Dementors
More than an hour later, a full moon appeared and disappeared behind the clouds.
Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew, and Lupin slowly emerged from the tree hollow, followed by Snape and Aaron, and finally Hermione, Harry, and Ron.
“Abe.” Aaron looked at the somewhat bewildered and confused young dragon in his arms and explained, “This is the power of time. I came from three hours later.”
Abe was stunned for a moment, his big eyes scanning back and forth between his two owners several times before he finally accepted the fact.
"Aaron, will it be okay to tell it?" Harry asked with some concern.
“It would be a problem if we didn’t tell it.” Aaron rolled his eyes.
“That’s right,” Hermione said. “Arbele has already seen us under the Whomping Willow. If we don’t explain things clearly, a dragon will cause a huge commotion and everything will be over.”
Upon hearing this, Harry was speechless.
"Wait until the situation stabilizes before you go to rescue him," Aaron said solemnly to Abe. "Professor Snape, he'll heal completely after a good night's sleep."
As for Ron Weasley, being able to walk is good enough; you can decide for yourself.
Harry's eye twitched slightly. "This isn't quite right!"
Ouch!
Moonlight shone on everyone's faces, and Professor Lupin transformed into a werewolf.
Snape drew his wand, and just as he was about to strike, three disarming charms sent him flying.
"That's quite fitting; he didn't hold back when he went after Professor Snape."
"As a Slytherin, I'm already being lenient by guaranteeing his leg isn't seriously injured." Aaron said, putting Abe down and letting it act as it saw fit.
Just as the werewolf had defeated the big black dog and was about to strike him with his claws, Harry Potter from the past hit the werewolf on the head with a stone, successfully diverting his attention.
“Harry,” Aaron shook his head, both amused and exasperated, “I know you’re worried about Sirius, but you should also be a little more careful about your own safety!”
“I didn’t think that much at the time,” Harry said, still shaken but determined. “I only knew I couldn’t just stand by and watch Sirius die.”
He is my godfather, and also my true family in this world.
"Okay! Luckily, you weren't too far away from me at the time. If it had really been a critical moment, I..."
"Ouch!!!"
Before Aaron could finish speaking, Hermione took a deep breath and began to howl like a wolf.
The werewolf had just reached Harry when he heard the cry of his 'kin'. He immediately abandoned his prey and ran toward the direction from which the sound came.
"What are you doing, Hermione?" Harry asked, bewildered.
"I'm saving your life."
“Actually, you didn’t need to do that.” Aaron slapped his forehead speechlessly. “I was just about to make my move.”
“I don’t know,” Hermione said matter-of-factly.
"He's charging at us." Harry gasped as he watched the menacing werewolf get closer and closer.
"I didn't expect that, running..."
"No need." Aaron waved his hand calmly. "They're just werewolves, it's not like we can't beat them."
“This is no time for jokes,” Hermione said incoherently, grabbing Aaron’s hand and trying to run deeper into the Forbidden Forest, but she couldn’t budge him no matter how hard she tried.
Aaron shrugged and calmly pulled his right hand away from hers. "If you don't believe me, you can leave first."
Hermione and Harry exchanged a glance and stayed behind despite the immense psychological pressure.
"Roar!"
"The Iron Fist of the Fire Dragon".
