"It's not this one, it's not that one, then who could it be?" Harry was flustered and at a loss for what to do. After a while, he calmed down. "Let's go to the headmaster's office. We have to tell Dumbledore."
Aaron did not object. This had already resulted in a death, which showed that the people hiding in the school would stop at nothing to achieve their goals, and he would not mind killing someone.
The two quickened their pace to the principal's office, but the dripping stone sculpture in front of the door wouldn't let them pass easily.
“I don’t know the password,” Aaron said bluntly.
“Iced lemonade,” Harry said tentatively, the statue remaining motionless. “Pear hard candy, Bibi Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans, Chocolate Frog…”
A string of snack names popped out of his mouth, dozens of them, none of them the same.
Aaron was dumbfounded; he couldn't believe that this person's ability to recite the menu hadn't been specifically trained.
“I need to see him, it’s important.” Harry kicked the statue in frustration, then sat down clutching his right foot in pain.
"Why don't you take a break?" Aaron handed over a bottle of water. "Get some rest and keep trying. I'm sure you can move this statue."
Harry took a sip, stunned, and continued, "Bubble gum, candy stick quills, cockroach skewers..."
Click!
The stone statue moved, slowly rising to reveal a spiral staircase.
"A cockroach string," Aaron said speechlessly. "What the hell is this password?!"
"I made this up." Harry's expression was also somewhat unnatural.
"Never mind that, let's go inside!"
The two walked up the stairs and went straight to an oak door.
“We must take action, Fudge.”
"I cannot act rashly. At times like these, the wizarding world needs a strong leadership team, Dumbledore."
"Then let them down."
"But I found no signs of murder, not at all. Bertha's disappearance and Barty's disappearance are completely unrelated."
Therefore, the three-way championship will absolutely not be canceled; I cannot be seen as a coward.
"A true leader is wise and decisive, and doesn't care what others think."
“I don’t quite agree with that statement,” Aaron said in a low voice. “Personally, I think a wise leader needs to care more about what the people think.”
“Excuse me, gentlemen,” Moody’s voice came through. “It seems your conversation has lost all privacy.”
As soon as he finished speaking, the oak door slowly opened.
Aaron immediately took a few steps back and stood behind Harry Potter.
“Harry,” Fudge smiled kindly, “It’s nice to see you again.”
And Aaron, give my regards to your sister.
“Yes, we will,” Aaron replied with a smile. “Professor Dumbledore, we have something we’d like to discuss with you.”
Dumbledore paused for a moment, then turned to look at Fudge and Moody. "You might have to wait a while. We need to check out the venue for the third event."
Aaron raised an eyebrow and exchanged a glance with Abe in his arms, suppressing his excitement. "It's alright. The Three-Way Championship is more important. You guys take your time watching. We're not in a hurry."
The three exchanged a glance, then silently left Aaron and Harry's side, closing the door behind them.
As the footsteps faded into the distance, Aaron immediately gave Abe a wink.
Saint Dragon instantly understood, jumped from Aaron's arms to the ground, and stared intently at Phoenix Fox on the golden perch with his clear eyes. Then, he couldn't help but drool.
Fox shuddered and let out an unnatural squeak.
But Dumbledore had already left, and the door to the headmaster's office was closed, leaving it in a desperate situation with no one to turn to.
"What is it trying to do?" Harry looked at Abbe with some nervousness. Despite its harmless appearance, it made Harry feel inexplicably uneasy.
Chapter 394 The Plucked Phoenix, Dumbledore's Pensieve
"It's nothing, I guess I was just a little excited to see an old friend."
"Is...is this really excitement?" Harry asked doubtfully. "But Abbott has already shown his claws, it won't..."
Before he could finish speaking, Abe transformed into a white blur and accelerated toward Fox.
Fox immediately spread its wings and flew to the ceiling, causing it to miss its target.
Roar!
Abe roared and spread his white wings, taking to the air to give chase.
Two figures, one in red and one in white, rampaged through the principal's office, smashing gold and silver utensils all over the floor.
Fox is in a terrible predicament. Although it is unwilling to admit it, it really can't beat Abe right now.
If it were outside, it might have had a chance to escape, but the principal's office was neither too big nor too small, and it was soon caught up by Abe.
Sharp claws gripped its neck. Fox saw a hint of joy mixed in Abe's pure eyes and panicked. He burst into crimson flames, trying to use the intense heat to make Abe release its grip.
Abe glared at it disdainfully, and a layer of pure white scales appeared on its body, easily withstanding the phoenix's flames.
Next, it began plucking fur with its other paw, and Fox let out a piercing wail.
In just a few seconds, a third of the red and gold feathers were plucked, and even several of the dazzling tail feathers were pulled out.
"Stop! Stop it!" Harry couldn't stand it any longer and shouted.
Abe paused for a moment, then turned to look at Aaron. Only when its master nodded did it release the phoenix, which had lost all will to live.
"Uh... don't mind it." Aaron said with a straight face, "Sometimes magical creatures just greet each other in such a simple and unpretentious way."
"Is this a greeting?" Harry said angrily. "Even if I'm not well-educated, you don't have to fool me like this!"
Fox has been bullied so badly, look, it's even crying.
"What? You cried?"
Aaron seemed somewhat surprised by this and quickly walked up to Fox.
Just as Harry thought he was going to comfort and apologize, Abel pulled an empty crystal bottle out of his pocket.
"You're so sensible." Aaron patted Abe's little head, then carefully collected the phoenix's tears. "This is a holy medicine for healing, it's a shame to let it fall to the ground."
Abe scoffed dismissively, then, right in front of Fox, stuffed the feathers he had plucked one by one into his pocket.
Phoenix cried even harder, her tears flowing much faster.
Harry, who was standing nearby, was also dumbfounded by what he saw, and for a moment he couldn't think of any words to describe it.
He'd really seen something new today. Aaron and Abe's outrageous antics opened a whole new world for him. Not only did they pluck his hair, but they even ripped out his tears.
They even collected Fox's tears and feathers right in front of him. That's beyond description; it's utterly inhumane.
"This is terrible. Dumbledore will be very angry when he comes back."
"It's not that bad, it was just a few feathers plucked."
"Is that a little bit?" Harry said speechlessly. "Fox is only slightly better than Turkey now."
Aaron paused for a moment, then turned and gave him a thumbs up. "That was a perfectly timed finishing blow."
Before Harry could react, Abe handed Aaron another empty crystal bottle.
The phoenix had almost finished crying its tears, but Harry's words made Aaron collect another half bottle of tears.
"Alright, what a great haul!" Aaron said with satisfaction. Abe patted its pocket, feeling that the trip had been worthwhile.
Harry couldn't bear it, so he picked up Fawkes and gently placed him on a soft cushion, then gave him some water to drink.
“When Dumbledore comes back and sees it looking so sickly, he’ll definitely not let us off the hook,” Harry said, on the verge of tears. “You’ve really dragged us into this mess.”
"Don't worry, the phoenix's self-healing ability is incredible. To a certain extent, they are immortal creatures," Aaron said dismissively. "The damage to its body now is just that it is unwilling to heal itself."
"It's alright, Abe, treat it."
Abe hesitated for a moment, then reluctantly walked up to Fox and activated his healing ability.
A white magic circle appeared above Fox, and in no time its injuries were completely healed. Apart from missing some feathers, it was almost impossible to tell that it had been injured.
Harry's lips twitched, and he blurted out instinctively, "That's really mean!"
"What did you say?"
“No, it’s nothing.” Harry waved his hand immediately, then looked at the messy headmaster’s office. “Let’s clean up quickly before Dumbledore comes back.”
Aaron shrugged, then drew his wand and waved it at the ground, sending all the gold and silver objects flying back to their original positions.
"It's done."
“A remarkable magical talent,” the Sorting Hat said. “Sorting you into Slytherin was the right decision; your value has been fully realized.”
"Tch, if you don't want to take a shower, then shut your mouth."
"Ok."
Harry shook his head speechlessly and casually found a chair to sit down.
This was the first time he had ever sat so casually in the headmaster's office, and he was about to tell Dumbledore about his dream, which made him feel much more relaxed.
In a daze, he noticed a cabinet that wasn't closed properly, and a bright silver light emanated from the gap.
Harry hesitated for a moment, then walked over curiously and opened the cabinet door.
Inside was a shallow stone basin with strange carvings on the rim, covered with letters and runes.
The basin contained not liquid, but wisps of silver light that swirled and danced freely, creating beautiful ripples.
"Aaron, do you know what this is?"
“I know.” Aaron nodded. “It’s called a Pensieve. I have one too.”
This magical item is exceptionally rare; it can store memories, preventing the forgetting of certain things over time.
The person storing the memory can also use it to observe their own memories from a third-person perspective, finding details that are easily overlooked.
"Does that mean this contains Dumbledore's secret?"
"No, it can't be called a secret, it can only be called a memory."
"No one would put their real secrets in the Pensieve, otherwise it would be terrible if others saw them," Aaron said seriously. He occasionally put some memories in the Pensieve, but those memories weren't particularly important; he just felt it would be a pity to forget them.
