"And the results?" Voldemort asked unhurriedly.
"Remove all the negative effects of magic." Aaron smiled meaningfully. "This drop of moonlight can restore your normal appearance and even eliminate some of the defects in your soul."
"what?"
Voldemort immediately lost his composure, his gaze towards the Moon Drop filled with greed and fanaticism.
He traveled a long way on the road to immortality, but the road was not smooth; those bumpy, uneven places were called the soul.
If the flaws in his soul or Horcrux could be removed, he could be perfectly resurrected even if he were killed again, instead of lingering on for more than ten years as before.
"Is what he said true?" Voldemort asked Genes, trusting the character of a high-ranking archmage.
"Of course, the Moon Drops can even break the seal set by Merlin."
However, as far as I know, the family treasury should be empty, and even the entire magical world probably only has... Sorry, I've gone a bit too far.
"What a disappointment," Aaron said unhappily.
Voldemort also looked regretful, but it wasn't a complete loss; at least he learned that such a potion existed in the wizarding world.
If we can find it, it means we'll have another chance to be fully resurrected, but right now it's more important to get it into Aaron's hands.
"What kind of deal are you offering? To trade this small vial of potion for their lives?"
"What are you dreaming about?" Aaron rolled his eyes. "Their lives aren't worth that much. This potion is, in some ways, a precious item on the same level as the Philosopher's Stone."
The Philosopher's Stone cannot break a powerful curse, but it can.
"If it weren't for my sister not wanting anyone to die in the three-way battle, I wouldn't have brought this treasure out."
“Young Master, there’s no need to take it so seriously,” Genes chuckled. “The competition is over now, and we all saw that you two were handling the trophy together.”
"Go tell Adrian what she said, and see if she admits it or not."
"Well... I doubt it, but you won't lose out, young master!"
“You wouldn’t understand, it’s too early for me.” Aaron curled his lip, then looked at Voldemort again. “The condition for the deal is that the three of them be released first.”
"and then?"
“Then…” Aaron turned to look at Harry Potter, then gave him an innocent smile, “I’ll bet you can kill the savior of the wizarding world in five minutes.”
If you can, this potion is yours; if not, it just means you're not meant to have it.
Upon hearing this, Voldemort was stunned. Was this any different from giving it away for free?
Harry was completely bewildered. Was this any different from sending someone to their death?
"Five minutes? You're underestimating me," Voldemort said casually. "Ten seconds will suffice."
“Five minutes is five minutes.” Aaron tossed the medicine bottle in his hand. “But before that, let me say a few words to him.”
"Please."
Aaron walked up to Harry, waved his wand to free him from his restraints, and took him down from the statue.
"What are you doing?" Harry said anxiously. "I can't beat him."
“Of course you can’t beat him. No one here can defeat Voldemort,” Aaron said in a low voice. “Five minutes. If I’m not mistaken, he’ll torture you for four minutes and fifty seconds and kill you in the last ten seconds.”
"Then why..."
“So you have to seize the opportunity.” Aaron looked at him very seriously. “You are different from the others. You are definitely number one on Voldemort’s kill list. There is no doubt about that. You can’t afford to have any wishful thinking.”
"There's nothing I can do to help you in this fight, but here's something that can help you save yourself."
Harry's pupils contracted slightly as if he had just realized something. "You mean..."
"Don't say it out loud," Aaron immediately interrupted him. "Voldemort will definitely try every means to torture you, the simplest being the Crucifixion Curse."
You must endure both physical and emotional harm, find it, approach it, and then confront it; this is your only chance to survive.
Harry nodded blankly. "Four minutes and fifty seconds, right?"
"In reality, this time will only be less, not more."
Harry said bitterly, "You should have talked for ten minutes."
"Forget it! Anyone would be suspicious after ten minutes, and besides, I don't think you can last that long."
When life is worse than death, even suicide becomes a luxury.
“Understood,” Harry said solemnly. “What follows is a life-or-death situation. If I die… bring my body to Sirius.”
“You won’t die, I have a way to save you.” Aaron hesitated for a moment, then said seriously, “But you’d better not let me use it, or you’ll have to work for me for the rest of your life to pay off my debts.”
Aaron was not referring to the dog charm, of course. The divine power of immortality had been completely absorbed by him and could only affect him.
However, he still has a resurrection potion that can bring back people who have died within an hour.
He would have been reluctant to give it to others before, but after gaining immortality, the value of this potion was no longer so high for him. Saving Harry's life and causing trouble for Voldemort was a good decision.
Harry also thought of the other priceless potion in Aaron's possession, and was immediately moved to tears.
"Thank you!"
"I'm warning you, don't wipe your snot on my clothes."
Harry:......
"Are you done talking?" Voldemort asked impatiently.
"That's all." Aaron stepped aside and gave Harry a push.
"Um...where's my wand?" Harry asked timidly.
"Oh!" Voldemort drawled, mockingly saying, "A wizard's duel can't be without a wand."
Barty Crouch Jr. licked his lips and tossed a black wand in front of him.
"Wand?" Aaron seemed to have thought of something and immediately called out to Harry, "If it really comes to the worst, trust your wand."
Harry just managed a weak smile, taking it as encouragement.
Voldemort and his Death Eaters were baffled and didn't take his words to heart at all.
"What do you mean by that? Does that mean the wand can help him hold out for five minutes?" Fleur asked curiously. With her keen intuition, she felt there must be some deeper meaning in Aaron's words.
"Perhaps! But it depends on luck," Aaron said uncertainly. "Hopefully, he won't need this spell!"
Chapter 413 Wizards Who Rely on Wands, Flashback Charm
A red spark flew through the air, and the five-minute countdown began.
Voldemort and Harry were more than ten meters apart. One had a sinister smile on his lips and his eyes glowed red. He was surrounded by a large group of supporters. The other's legs were trembling. He swallowed hard every now and then. There was no one behind him.
The outcome of this duel seemed predetermined; Voldemort could crush Harry Potter in every way.
“You should have learned how to duel!” Voldemort bowed slightly. “First, we must bow to each other.”
"Come on, Harry, manners are essential. Dumbledore doesn't want you to forget your manners, does he?"
Harry was breathing rapidly and made no move to bow.
“I said, bow.” Voldemort slightly raised his wand, and Harry felt his body lose control. No matter how much he struggled, he reluctantly bowed.
“That’s much better,” Voldemort sneered. “Now let’s duel.”
"The Crucifixion Curse!"
Before Harry could even regain his footing, Voldemort's Crucifixion Curse struck him, causing him excruciating pain as he lay on the ground convulsing and screaming in agony.
"Well done, Harry."
Your parents will be proud, especially that inferior Muggle mother.
Harry couldn't bear to hear Voldemort mention his parents, and despite the pain, he cast a spell.
But before the red light could reach Voldemort, it was swatted away with one hand, having no effect whatsoever, and was instead sent flying several meters away.
Harry lay on the ground, howling in pain as he searched for the Triwizard Tournament trophy.
The trophy was covered in dirt, but you could still vaguely see the blue light it emitted. It was at least twenty meters away, and there were no Death Eaters there.
But this twenty-meter stretch was like an insurmountable chasm, and he dared not reveal the slightest abnormality, lest Voldemort discover it and everything be over.
“I’m going to kill you, Harry Potter.”
I'm going to destroy you. After tonight, no one will question my power anymore.
After tonight, if people talk about you, they'll only say how you begged me to kill you.
And I, in my kindness, granted your request.
"stand up."
With a wave of his hand, Voldemort caused Harry's body to rise from the ground again, out of his control.
Just as he was about to make another move, Harry displayed incredible speed and hid behind a tombstone.
boom!
A spell struck the tombstone, and Harry clearly heard the sound of it cracking.
“You’re not allowed to turn your back to me. We’re not playing hide-and-seek,” Voldemort said coldly. “When I kill you, you have to look at me. I want to see that light disappear from your eyes.”
You can't escape it, Harry.
"Come forth, let's duel, without any pain...that's debatable, after all, I've never tasted death."
Harry huddled behind the tombstone. He could see the Triwizard Tournament trophy, but he was also certain that if he ran out, he would be met not with the Crucifixion Curse, but with the Killing Curse.
But in this situation, all he has left to do is take a gamble and wait to die.
With that thought in mind, Harry took a deep breath, gripped his wand, and rushed out from behind the tombstone.
"Except your weapons!"
"Avada Kedavra!"
When the red and green lights collided, unsurprisingly, the red light receded at an extremely fast speed.
Harry persisted, gripping his wand tightly and squeezing out every last drop of power from his body.
Just when he thought he was doomed, the red light suddenly became incredibly dazzling, even overpowering Voldemort's magic.
