......

The next day, Aaron, accompanied by Genes, entered Platform 9¾.

"This is all I can do for you. I hope you have a happy school year."

Aaron sneered and pushed his suitcase toward the Hogwarts Express.

However, he stopped halfway through because some of his acquaintances were carrying suitcases ahead of him.

Wang Wang!

The sound of barking rang out, and a large black dog walked up to him.

Aaron's lips twitched slightly. "Mr. Black's nose is really sharp!"

Roar!

Abe immediately jumped off the suitcase and bared his teeth at the black dog.

"What's wrong? Is there anything unusual?" Moody asked as he limped over, a strange look flashing across his face when he saw Aaron.

He scrutinized Aaron, his demonic eyes darting around in their sockets. "Gaius, what brings you here?"

"How novel! Professor Moody, how dare you ask me this question?"

I wouldn't want to take the train if I could, but it's the easiest way to get to Hogwarts right now.

"Uh...sorry," Moody said awkwardly, "I've just been too stressed lately."

“I can tell,” Aaron said as he pushed the cart forward. “It’s only natural that Mr. and Mrs. Weasley would come to see Ron and the others off.”

But then it's not simple that you, Professor Lupin, and even this dog have come.

I'm guessing he's here to protect someone, Harry Potter, right?

"Woof woof!" the black dog barked again.

"Looks like I guessed right." Aaron walked to the train and saw the Weasleys, Harry, and Ron.

Besides them, there was Professor Lupin and a purple-haired witch.

"Good morning, every body."

“Aaron,” Mr. Weasley said, “what a coincidence, but it’s still a pleasure to see you.”

“Any interest in discussing some business with us?” George and Fred asked, their eyes lighting up. “Although Mom might not be too keen.”

"Never mind," Aaron said, waving his hand. He was somewhat interested in the twins' prank props, but not very interested in them.

"Have you two done something bad behind my back again?" Mrs. Weasley asked with a displeased expression.

“Absolutely not,” George and Weasley said in unison.

"It's best if not. The youngest son of the Weasleys has become a prefect, and you two as older brothers can't hold him back."

"Prefect?" Aaron was stunned for a moment, looking at Ron in astonishment. "You?"

“I know this is surprising; I didn’t expect it myself,” Ron said with an embarrassed smile. “But it was Dumbledore’s arrangement; he must have had his reasons.”

Aaron's lips twitched, unsure of what to say.

It was one thing for me to become a prefect inexplicably, but for Ron to become a prefect as well was utterly absurd.

“And me,” Hermione said excitedly, “the prefect of Gryffindor.”

"Congratulations," Aaron said somewhat numbly. He didn't think being a prefect was anything special, but the others obviously didn't think so.

"Who is this?"

“Nymphadora Tonks,” Mr. Weasley introduced. “She is an Auror and Sirius’s niece.”

“Hello,” Tonks said with a smile. “They’ve been mentioning your name quite a bit these days.”

“I was planning to write to you,” Hermione said dejectedly, “but Dumbledore thought it was unsafe to write letters. The Ministry of Magic is very strict, and our letters could be intercepted at any time.”

Just then, the car horn sounded, urging the group to get on the bus.

“You’d better hurry.” Mrs. Weasley gave Harry and the others a hug. “Get in the carriage quickly, and write to us if you forget anything.”

Sirius Black dramatically stood up, placed his front paws on Harry's shoulder, and said goodbye.

“Sirius, it was already risky enough to send you along,” Mrs. Weasley said in a low voice, “but you shouldn’t be going this far.”

Aaron boarded the train, placed his suitcase in the designated spot, and walked along the corridor to the class-leader's carriage.

Open the sliding door, and nine people are sitting in this rather luxurious and spacious carriage.

"Alright, everyone's here now," said the male student council president.

"You're a prefect too?" Ron asked in surprise.

"I didn't have a chance to say it earlier." Aaron shrugged nonchalantly, then found a seat and sat down.

"Ahem!" The female student council president coughed and looked at everyone solemnly, saying, "First of all, let me briefly introduce the class leaders of each college."

Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Prefect of Gryffindor; Erland Macmillan, Hannah Abbott, Prefect of Hufflepuff; Anthony Goldstein, Padma Pettier, Prefect of Ravenclaw; Aaron Gaius, Pansy Parkinson, Prefect of Slytherin.

"I believe you are all students of excellent character and academic performance, otherwise you wouldn't have been appointed as class leaders," said the male student council president. "We are both seventh-year students, and time is a bit tight, so let's keep it short."

The class monitor has special powers, such as deducting other students' college points or confining students as punishment for violating the rules.

On this train, prefects have their own private compartments, so they don't have to waste time looking for seats. At Hogwarts, prefects have their own private washrooms where they can take a bath when they're bored.

"However, with rights come corresponding obligations," the student council president said. "These include managing student discipline in public places, helping teachers with some of the work of teaching students, collecting homework, and managing various school affairs."

"In addition, we are responsible for taking the first-year students to their respective dormitories on their first day at Hogwarts," the Dean of the Students' Guild added. "We also oversee the decoration of the castle for Christmas and other holidays, look after the younger students, and ensure they follow school rules."

That's all we have to say. Are there any other questions?

"That sounds like a hassle," Aaron said casually. "Can I just not be a prefect?"

"This..." The two student council presidents exchanged a glance, both seeing the astonishment in each other's eyes.

“If you want to decline this position, you can apply to the principal or the dean of the college, but I suggest you think it over carefully,” the male student council president said seriously. “Although the job of a prefect is a bit troublesome, it still carries a lot of power.”

Furthermore, your status as a class monitor will give your job application an edge after graduation.

Aaron smiled but didn't say anything.

Job hunting? He'll probably have to wait his next life for that opportunity.

"Does anyone else have any questions?" the student council president asked.

"Um..." Ron raised his right hand, somewhat embarrassed, and said, "I'd like to understand the point deduction policy more carefully."

“Weasley.” The student council president shook his head helplessly. “The prefect has the same right to deduct points as the professor, but points can’t be deducted arbitrarily. This right can only be exercised when a student violates school rules and regulations.”

However, you can decide the punishment for solitary confinement yourself; it could be standing guard, patrolling, copying school rules, cleaning, or wiping trophies. But I don't recommend bringing your personal emotions into it.

"No, I promise," Ron said confidently, but only he knew what he was really thinking.

“I hope you keep your word,” Pansy sneered. “If you deliberately make things difficult for Slytherin, then…”

“Do I need to make things difficult for them?” Ron retorted without any politeness. “There’s no need to find fault with Malfoy and the others.”

"That's still better than you guys. The trouble you've caused in the past few years is enough to write a book."

“We are already class leaders.”

"Dumbledore is really senile, actually letting the most troublesome person be a prefect."

"That's enough," Aaron interrupted them. "Can you shut up?"

"Just to give me face, and also to give the student council president face,"

"It's alright," the male student council president said with a smile. "The purpose of having two class leaders in each college is to facilitate mutual supervision. I believe you will all do your jobs well."

Chapter 451 Malfoy's Foresight, the Sorting Hat's Warning

More than an hour later, the class leaders' meeting officially ended.

The Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff prefects left the prefectural box one after another, while the four Gryffindor and Slytherin prefects remained there.

“Hermione, we should go,” Ron reminded her. “Harry is waiting for us!”

Hermione glanced at Aaron and hesitated, then asked, "Should we come together?"

“Granger, Gaius is a Slytherin prefect,” Pansy sneered.

"I didn't ask you."

"Hmph!" Pansy snorted. "He won't go with you. Malfoy is still waiting for him."

"Draco?" Aaron raised an eyebrow in surprise. "He...want to see me?"

Pansy nodded. "It must be important, otherwise he wouldn't have specifically asked me to inform you."

"Is that so?" Aaron pondered for a moment, then slowly stood up. "Take me there!"

Hermione hesitated, unsure of what to say.

Pansy, beaming with pride, gave Hermione a defiant look and led Aaron away from the private room.

“Let’s go!” Ron said meaningfully. “He’s the prefect of Slytherin now, and Malfoy is his friend, so it’s reasonable to talk to him first.”

"I know, you don't need to remind me." Hermione rolled her eyes at him and walked out on her own.

Draco was sitting in a box with his two henchmen.

"What do you want?" Aaron asked as he opened the door to the private room.

“Come in and we’ll talk.” Draco pursed his lips, then looked at Crabbe and Goyle sitting opposite him. “You two go out first.”

"Huh?" Gore opened his mouth in surprise. "But where do we sit?"

"Good heavens! How did I end up with such stupid followers?" Draco said dejectedly. "Get out, don't come in unless I call you."

The two exchanged a glance before realizing that Draco wasn't trying to get rid of them, but simply wanted to speak with Aaron alone.

"We're leaving now."

"Just let us know if you need anything."

The two rushed off, and Pansy looked at Draco and Aaron, wondering, "Can't I stay either?"

“This is not something that should be known to a third person,” Draco said very seriously.
