“As for the Light of Sanction, I can defend against it. Please, Pharaoh, focus on controlling the light bulb!” Nitocris said respectfully.
"Hmph, I would have done it even without you telling me!"
After saying this with a smile, Ozymandias's tone became serious.
"All divine punishments are wrought by the Pharaoh, yet you, a mere human king who has entered the realm of gods... no, perhaps you have already become an existence equivalent to a goddess, but..."
Ozymandias's face revealed the arrogance unique to a king.
"My name is Ozymandias! King of Kings! Almighty gods, behold my mighty deeds, and then bow down in despair! Great electric ball Amun-ra, open your eyes! Behold the love of Amun (Merry Ammon)!"
A blue-white beam of light shot out from the top of the Great Temple, piercing the sky, and lightning, like divine punishment, struck the energy barrier of the Holy City.
"Divine Punishment, hit! But it didn't work!"
Nitocris's report came through: "The outer walls of the Holy City are protected by a magical barrier; the King's lightning cannot strike the tower!"
"No need to report, I already sensed it. Ha, you're quite well prepared, Lion King!"
Ozymandias was not surprised by this and continued.
"Then let's fire two more shots, no, ten more! Convert half of Yu Lingji's power into magic to accelerate the Great Temple!"
The so-called "spiritual origin" is actually a container.
In a regular Holy Grail War, summoning a Heroic Spirit is actually summoning the Heroic Spirit's soul, and then the Holy Grail provides a container for the Heroic Spirit's soul, that container is the "Spirit Origin".
The heroic spirits summoned through such means are called 'Servants'.
In other words, the Heroic Spirits summoned without the Counter Force are all castrated imitations. It's not that their strength is insufficient, but rather that the "Spirit Origin (container)" is not large enough to contain all their power, and can only hold a portion of the summoned Heroic Spirit's 'soul (power)'.
"Spirit Origin Ascension" is about increasing the capacity of this "container" so that it can hold more souls and move closer to its original strength.
The light of Dendra was recharged and transformed into massive beams of light that bombarded the energy barrier of the Holy City one after another.
After ten consecutive bombardments, cracks finally appeared in the energy barrier surrounding the holy city.
As the first crack appeared, the fissure began to spread rapidly until it connected the entire barrier, finally shattering like glass.
Upon seeing this, Nitocris turned around and called out with delight.
"The Holy City's magical barrier has been destroyed! My King, one more strike will decide the outcome... What!?"
What Nitocris saw was Ozymandias, which had already begun to burn.
Seeing this, Nitocris couldn't help but feel sorrow. Losing half of his Spirit Origin meant that this 'Sun King' was about to...
However, Ozymandias rebuked him.
“Turn your head back, Nitocris, don’t worry about me! Glory lies on the other side, and it is precisely because it is unattainable that we must challenge it!”

Chapter Twenty-Two: My Blood Tastes of Iron
"Lion King, I fear neither divine punishment nor anything like that. I'll let you taste the taste of my grave. Even the Holy Lance will be reduced to a wrecked ship under such an impact!"
Ozymandias looked down at the holy city with a disdainful gaze.
"The Sun's Stele, the colossal boulder, the pyramid that rules the universe! My infinite radiance, the sun descends here, fall—'The Great Cosmic Temple of Radiance'!!"
The enormous pyramid rose into the air and collapsed toward the holy city.
Amidst a deafening roar and a burst of dazzling light, the Border Tower collapsed.
And then Ozymandias's voice, unusually gentle, reached Nitocris's ears.
"Hmm... It seems this is the limit... I need to rest now, Pharaoh Nitocris."
The name Pharaoh indicates that this 'Sun King' acknowledged himself.
Upon hearing the way the king addressed her, Nitocris couldn't help but burst into tears.
With a final, reluctant glance at this world and the people he had protected, Ozymandias's figure gradually transformed into starlight and returned to the Throne of Heroes.
……
Outside the city gates of the Holy Capital.
The fight between Gawain and Wang Hassan had been going on for an hour.
The two remained locked in a stalemate, neither able to gain the upper hand.
It wasn't because Gawain was so strong, but because this King Hassan was just constantly on the defensive, like an old man playing with a child.
Gawain launched relentless, pressing attacks, but Wang Hassan defended with ease.
Although there were no particularly amazing moves, he always managed to easily neutralize Gawain's attacks at just the right moment.
"He doesn't show the slightest sign of fatigue..."
Gao Wen didn't even have time to pay attention to the sweat he was drenched in, and quickly got back into position.
Just as Gawain was preparing to charge again, Wang Hassan suddenly spoke up.
"That's it, your evening bells have stopped."
King Hassan said calmly, "This daytime is a reflection of the Lion King's sins; the evening bells will move into the city."
Gao Wen couldn't help but clench his teeth.
"I am willing to die for my king!"
Flames erupted on the "Sword of Victory," and the length of the blade extended accordingly.
The raging flames of the sun are enough to burn everything.
A fiery arc of flames slashed towards King Hassan's body.
Clang!
Upon hearing that clear and pleasant voice, Gawain's expression froze, and then he looked at King Hassan in front of him in shock.
The holy sword, which had transformed into something as dazzling as the sun, was actually blocked by a rusty greatsword that looked like scrap metal.
This almost impossible situation was unfolding clearly before Gao Wen's eyes, shaking his very soul.
Wang Hassan's strength filled Gawain with despair, just like the time he was easily defeated by that red-haired boy; a sense of powerlessness washed over him once again.
"It's just sunlight, which can't even wake people up."
As soon as Wang Hassan spoke, a burst of fire erupted in his eyes, and Gawain was sent flying.
But as expected of a Knight of the Round Table, he managed to regain his footing mid-air and land, then gripped his sword tightly as he faced off against King Hassan with difficulty.
"Why... even before that man named Shirou Orihara arrived, you possessed enough power to stop our actions, yet you have remained silent until now...?"
Having experienced the terrifying power possessed by King Hassan, Gawain was filled with countless questions.
However, King Hassan simply shook his head.
"No. My sword only slays those who defy the will of Heaven, and the Lion King's will is not in me, but in 'that person,' therefore my sword is useless."
"A person who defies...the will of Heaven..."
Gao Wen pondered the meaning behind the word.
Black smoke gradually enveloped Wang Hassan's tall figure, and his voice, sometimes near and sometimes far, echoed around Gawain.
“‘Sun Knight,’ you have proven your innocence with this sword; the departure of Evening Bell is the proof.”
"Wait, wait a minute! We haven't decided who's the winner yet...!" Gao Wen quickly snapped out of his daze and reached out to try to stop them, but there was nothing in front of him.
Gawain looked back at the pyramid that had crashed onto the tower at the end of the city, and then looked through the main gate at the chaos in the city.
"So, does that mean we deserve an even crueler ending...?"
As Gao Wen muttered to himself, the soldiers cheered, "Gao Wenqing, thank goodness you're alright! You defeated such a formidable opponent; you are our pride! Please continue to serve as the guardian of the main gate. Leave the repelling of the invading enemy forces to us. Gao Wenqing, please rest here for a while."
The soldiers' words made Gawain blush slightly.
He shook his head quickly.
"No, I'm sorry, I have to go back to the capital first. I'll leave the main gate to you."
After issuing this military order, Gao Wen surveyed the battlefield.
"In about half an hour, the course of the battle will be decided. If the capital is on fire, then you should all raise your troops and head north. Although the journey will be difficult, but..."
As he said this, a smile appeared on Gawain's face that the soldiers had never seen before.
In the soldiers' hearts, Gawain had always been strong and serious, but at this moment, he exuded a power that seemed to dispel all darkness.
A smile as warm and radiant as the sun.
"However, we hope that more people can return to their hometowns."
Gawain's words flowed into the soldiers' hearts like a warm current.
"This expedition has never been a victory from the start. Thank you all for staying with us until now. The singularity may be corrected soon, and then you will be able to return to your original places and reunite with your families."
After speaking, Gao Wen sheathed his sword, placed his left hand on his right chest, and bowed slightly.
This is a standard knightly gesture used to express gratitude.
"Knight of the Round Table, Gawain, it is a great honor to fight alongside you all!"
"Gao Wenqing...!!"
The soldiers watched the 'Sun Knight' turn away with a flourish, and tears welled up in their eyes.
……
The silver-haired knight struggled forward through the corridors, staircases, and the path leading to the palace.
Bedivere, who had barely managed to defeat Lancelot, the Knight of the Lake, despite suffering severe injuries, was now panting heavily and struggling to take each step.
"Ha ha……"
The bright red blood had stained his clothes before he knew it.
But Bedivere didn't care. He gently wiped the blood from his wound, licked it, and murmured something.
"My blood tastes like iron."
