The magic in his palm erupted, and the domineering impact instantly shattered the demon's head into dust. The headless demon collapsed to its knees, and its remaining remains quickly turned to ashes.
Barry, the trainee Flash, was stunned by what he saw for the first time.
Are all demons these days so ruthless? Ruthless to their teammates, and even more ruthless to themselves?
But if we're talking about shock, absolutely no one present could compare to the bishop who witnessed the entire process.
This bishop, once a devout believer who trusted the supreme sovereign to deliver judgment, first witnessed the summoned goddess chatting and laughing with the other side while holding a soup spoon. Then, two more sons of the gods appeared, but one was gone in a flash, and the other seemed to be mentally challenged, not only failing to help his teammate when he was attacked but also spewing insults from the sidelines. In the end, he simply shot himself in the head.
So what kind of gods do I actually believe in?
Is it a homonym?
In the quiet air of the church, there was a faint sound as if something was breaking.
That was the sound of a once unwavering belief shattering into dust.
Then he went crazy.
"Hehehehehe, it's all fake, all fake!" The bishop began to laugh maniacally. "What gods, what divine punishment, what salvation of the world? It's all fake, all fake! Hahahaha!"
The laughter stopped abruptly.
That was a chop to the neck from Batman.
Batman hates hearing people laugh like that.

Chapter 151 Big Cat and Little Cat
Gotham.
In a greenhouse in an unnamed location, the fresh fragrance of flowers lingers in the enclosed space. The air is humid and warm, and green is the dominant color in this area. Tall, elegant glass surrounds the entire space, and light shines through the green leaves, illuminating the whole area.
The woman walked slowly into the greenhouse from the main entrance. She had short, jet-black hair with clean, strong lines, and her black business suit was perfectly tailored, highlighting her figure while allowing for agility.
She walked slowly through the greenhouse, the surrounding vegetation making her feel vaguely uneasy.
These are not the kinds of plants you'd find in any botanical garden. A vibrant tapestry of green life stretches from the ground to the ceiling, from one side to the other. Trees twist and turn, their trunks coiling like giant pythons, unfurling lush canopies. Some grow almost to the top of the greenhouse, while others spread across the ground like a green carpet, giving the illusion of walking on a prairie.
Deeper inside, nestled among the plants, stands a metal laboratory table. It is meticulously arranged, filled with various chemical reagents and glassware. Flickering lights shine through small glass panes in the ceiling, illuminating the neatly arranged instruments. The transparent glass emits a faint glow, and the various colored liquids shimmer with a dazzling luster, like jewels.
The woman stood in front of the lab table, hands on her hips, muttering, "Great, she's not here. Now where am I supposed to find a plant fanatic lunatic?!"
The woman in black was completely unaware of the vines that had quietly emerged from the plants behind her. Several vines suddenly wrapped around her ankles, lifting her upside down, headfirst, binding her in mid-air in a classic "tortoise shell" position.
The woman in black struggled desperately, but the more she struggled, the tighter the vines binding her felt, and the tighter they tightened, the more ashamed she felt.
So I simply stopped struggling.
Another figure emerged from the darkness. Snow-white skin, eyes that were alluring to the bone, vibrant red hair, and a truly magnificent, expansive chest.
This was the person the woman in black was looking for. Pamela Eisley, also known as "Poison Ivy."
"I thought it was a bat, but it's just a little mouse," Poison Ivy said lazily, making a gesture that caused her vines to tighten.
"Wait a minute!" A blush crept onto the woman in black's resolute face. "My name is Moxi. My boss admires your abilities and would like to speak with you."
“Really? Thank you very much then.” Poison Ivy smiled. “But if that’s truly his intention, then he should have come in person.”
"That's right, that's why I came."
A male voice rang out from the shadows. Both men turned their gazes in the direction of the armor, which appeared to be about three meters tall. It was made of sturdy, smooth green alloy plates, with glowing green patterns inlaid on the armor, spreading like veins along its outer layer.
And right above this armor, a striking bald head peeked out.
Lex Luthor.
"Boss!" The woman in black, Moxi, exclaimed with delight, "You came in person?"
“Of course. I think this young lady’s talent deserves my personal visit.” Luther’s armored figure stepped forward and smiled. “Although I think you should know me, let me introduce myself anyway.”
Lex Luthor, the world's greatest mind and the most successful entrepreneur on Earth.
"A 'former' entrepreneur." Poison Ivy frowned. "You're a fugitive now. I've been watching the news."
"Hmph, that's exactly what I wanted to say. Those stupid aliens stole my things, occupied my territory, and they think they've won. Ha, it's laughable."
"So what does that have to do with me?" Poison Ivy crossed her arms.
Luther laughed. “I’m working on a plan. Moxie, tell her.”
The female bodyguard and secretary, Moxi, was trying to find a less embarrassing position while bound by the vines, and hurriedly responded when she heard her boss's order.
"Yes. The core idea of the 'Doomsday Legion' plan is to gather ambitious individuals with special talents from various regions to form an unstoppable legion. Legion members are united and will come to each other's aid if one is in trouble, eliminating any worries about being harassed by strangely dressed vigilantes or flying aliens."
"For example, Batman?" Poison Ivy's eyes lit up.
She's been having a headache with the bat problem lately, and this proposal sounds kind of appealing.
But she immediately frowned and said, "But all I want is to return the world to Mother Nature."
"Of course, no problem, the Legion will give you its full support."
Luther smiled, reached out his hand, and a small test tube popped out of the mech, containing some kind of green liquid.
"What is this?" Poison Ivy asked, taking the item and examining it.
“A small gift,” Luther chuckled. “I’ve studied your abilities, the experimental accident that gave you them. I know you’re skilled at controlling men and plants. But your power isn’t limited to that.”
For example, what if there were a person who was both a man and a plant, and coincidentally, possessed power comparable to that of extraterrestrials?
Poison Ivy's eyes lit up: "There's such a good thing?"
"Of course. I did specific research, and this potion was developed for that purpose. It can target and enhance your abilities, allowing you to control a specific target, so that you will be able to wield a power far greater than you ever imagined."
“Interesting. If what you say is true, then I'm in. You're truly an extraordinary man, Lex Luthor.”
Poison Ivy winked at him as she spoke.
"May I ask who is in this Doomsday Legion right now?"
“Uh…” Lai Tu’s smile froze for a moment. “I’m here.”
Poison Ivy was taken aback.
"So you said this is a 'legion,' but it's just you all alone?"
“No, there are two now,” Lai Tu said. “There’s also you.”
Poison Ivy: "."
Suddenly, I started to wonder if my decision to join the group was a bit hasty.
"Uh, sorry to interrupt."
The female secretary, Moxi, who was tied up and hanging in mid-air, had a flushed face.
"But can you put me down now?"
"So you mean those are all my dad's followers?"
On the way back from Midtown, Raven asked with a somewhat strange expression.
“Yes,” Shen You said.
"And then they summoned me?"
"I suspect your brother did something in there," Shen You said. "Go back and consult a wizard; maybe he can teach you how to avoid this kind of summoning ritual next time."
It's rather strange that someone has to go whenever they summon her. Shen You speculated that it might be partly due to the interference of Riven's two demon brothers, and partly because Riven is still too inexperienced, both as a mage and a demon girl. Once she becomes more proficient in controlling her abilities, similar situations shouldn't occur again.
“By the way, sir, I need to remind you that there are traces of a tracking device on you,” Pal reminded him.
"I noticed it a long time ago." Shen You smiled.
Batman's tracker suggests that the old Batman is curious about where "Ultraman" is and what he does when he's not working.
Of course, if he didn't do that, he wouldn't be Batman.
"Someone's following you?" Raven looked over.
"Yes, but don't worry, I'll take care of it in a bit."
Gotham, a cold, dark alley.
The towering buildings cast shadows over the street, their facades weathered beyond recognition by time and crime. Moss and dust covered the worn bricks, and the cobblestones creaked dully in the distance. Gray smoke billowed from the shadows, creating a hazy atmosphere and obscuring visibility.
Batman's figure pierced through the smoke, his footsteps moving silently through the alley like a night owl.
“This doesn’t look like there’s any ‘light’ here. Are you sure this is the place, sir?” Alfred said into the headset.
“The tracker is right here,” Batman said gravely. “Don’t be fooled by appearances. It could be anywhere.”
He suddenly stopped before he could finish speaking.
They seemed to have noticed something.
Batman turned around, his hand carefully gripping a batarang beneath his cape, and cautiously approached the source of the commotion.
"Meow!"
A black cat suddenly appeared.
Batman stopped moving.
The scene looks like a big cat and a little cat staring at each other.
The black cat sized him up, as if to say, "What's wrong with this two-legged creature? Why are you dressed like me?"
Then she ignored him, turned around and jumped into the trash can to find something to eat.
The tracking signal came from this cat.
Alfred's voice rang out softly.
"What did you just say, young master?"
