The female secretary, still struggling with the tentacles, was on the verge of tears.

No, boss, could you please have her put me down first before she gets to work?

Damn, it seems to have gotten tighter again.

"The Realm of Corruption?"

Shen You placed a copy of "A Song of Ice and Fire" on the table in front of Diana, and then sat down opposite her.

Diana eagerly took a lick of her ice cream. Before she could speak, Carla emerged from the basement, clutching her back and limping.

"I'm exhausted from all that work at your place last night, and I still feel a bit weak. Can we skip it today?"

The little girl looked pitiful, her big eyes full of expectation.

Last night was her usual Kryptonite weight training. But to be fair, Shen You didn't force her; she just got cocky. After practicing for several days, she felt that even small Kryptonite fragments had almost no effect on her. She got carried away and thought that Kryptonite was nothing special, so she decided to try getting a stronger one.

And so he ended up like this, looking like a salted fish, limp and green all night.

"I warned you that something that big wouldn't work, but you wouldn't listen. Fine, fine, we won't do it today. Take a good rest."

"Okay~"

Upon receiving permission, Kara's eyes lit up immediately, and she was so happy and energetic that she disappeared like a gust of wind.

Looking at her back as she instantly revived at full strength, she didn't seem exhausted at all. Shen You suddenly couldn't help but wonder if he had been tricked.

Turning her head, she saw Diana looking at her with a suspicious gaze.

What did you do to her last night?

"It's nothing, just helping her with her training."

For some reason, even though it's the truth, it doesn't seem very credible to me when I say it. Saying it like that will only make people more suspicious.

Unexpectedly, the female warrior immediately showed a look of realization.

"Oh, training. You're still spoiling her a bit too much. How can you let her relax and slack off just because she's occasionally tired? When I first started training as a child, I felt completely drained for the first two days. But I still persevered."

The key to this kind of thing is perseverance; that's how true warriors are forged.

"That makes sense."

Shen You rested his chin on his hand, deep in thought. He guessed that Kara was probably faking it and was probably already playing games underground.

"Maybe we should increase her training intensity later."

The female warrior licked her ice cream and nodded slightly, revealing an expression that said, "That's how it should be."

"Getting back to the point. You just mentioned 'the realm of depravity'?"

"Yes, it's been circulating in Olympus lately. Zeus is dead, and the entrance to the Fallen Realm has been reactivated. It's said that it holds the secret of Zeus's divine power, and many people, including many who shouldn't have it, are coveting it."

Wonder Woman's expression turned serious.

“I am not afraid to face anyone, including God. But it is foreseeable that if I am to get involved, I will likely face more than one or two enemies this time.”

So, though I hate to admit it, this time I do need some allies—things I've overlooked in the past.

"I have a general understanding." Shen You nodded. "So, regarding that 'Degenerate Realm' you mentioned, I guess you already know where the key is?"

“I only have a general idea. I know it’s somewhere in the metropolis, but I need to pinpoint its exact location, and that requires the help of a wizard. A wizard wise enough.”

At this point, the two of them turned their heads to look towards the kitchen.

At that moment, a thunderous roar came from the kitchen.

Then came the smell of burning, a reminder of the passing of yet another pot's youth.

Shen You looked at Diana again.

"A wise wizard, huh?"

Chapter 164 Gorgon

metropolis.

A deafening roar echoed through the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the shockwave blasting through the ceiling. Smoke billowed, debris scattered everywhere, and alarms blared deafeningly.

Lex Luthor, clad in green armor, descended slowly from the smoke, stepping on flames. His gear gleamed with metallic light, and he was fully armed, yet his bald head was deliberately left exposed, as if afraid someone wouldn't notice his gleaming forehead.

Tourists and spectators quickly evacuated, and security guards immediately assembled.

"Put your hands up!"

Of course, while they were shouting that, they had already fired their guns. Shoot first, then question—that's typical of the old Free State security.

And naturally, all the bullets were aimed at that bald head. No wonder, this guy was dressed in heavy armor, practically armed to the teeth, and his bald head looked like a bullseye drawn on his bald patch. Trying to resist the urge to shoot that bald head was like seeing a teacher's top-notch infantry photos online and resisting the urge to fire – something no ordinary person could manage.

However, it had no effect.

It's not that all the security guards were terrible marksmen. Although aiming with a pistol is extremely difficult, even by sheer luck, a few bullets did manage to hit Baldy's head. But those bullets clearly hit a wall quite a distance away from his bald head, as if they had struck an invisible barrier, deformed upon impact, and fell to the ground.

Emptying the magazine had no effect, and the security guards stared in horror, not understanding how this could work.

"Force field shield, idiots. The defense generated by my shield generator is much tougher than the armor itself," Lai Tu sneered. "It's designed this way so you can hit my head."

Of course, we cannot rule out the possibility that his extreme narcissism and desire for everyone to see who is inside the armor cannot be ruled out.

"Now, it's my turn."

He raised his right hand, activating the hand mechanism, and his forearm assembled into a dangerous cannon. A green light emanated from the muzzle, and a deadly energy beam was about to annihilate all the security guards. Just then, the museum's outer wall was suddenly smashed through. A red and blue afterimage shot towards them, appearing before the security guards at the last second.

A powerful beam of light struck straight into a large "S".

Superman stood with his hands on his hips, his red cape billowing in the beam of light. Black smoke billowed from his chest, but he seemed completely oblivious, squinting at Levi.

“Luthor,” Superman said, “is this the end of keeping a low profile?”

"Superman!"

Luther seemed startled for a moment, then gritted his teeth and let out a heavy snort, as if after a fierce internal struggle.

"You arrived even faster than I expected."

"Give up, Luthor." Superman stood with his fists on his hips. "You and I both know how this will end."

Unexpectedly, a burst of dark green energy suddenly flew from the side, sending Superman flying and crashing through several display stands and artifacts before snapping a load-bearing column in the hall.

“Ha, Boy Scouts.” Luther smirked. “They’re too easy to fool.”

The witch Cersei appeared from the side like a transparent phantom, holding a green will-o'-the-wisp in her hand.

“He’s strong, but he’s not good at dealing with magic. I can sense that,” she said with a smile.

However, the next second, Superman flew out of the ruins with a bang, seemingly without losing much health.

Luther looked at Cersei: "What did you just say?"

"Well, he seems pretty durable, at least."

Superman didn't say a word, and took off again, ready to sprint forward. But unexpectedly, a small snake suddenly emerged from the ruins below him, wrapped around his ankle, and the enormous force threw him violently out of the way.

Superman took another dramatic somersault, cracking the floor and smashing through a bunch of obstacles, but he got up with a backflip and seemed to be unharmed.

A figure emerged from beneath the ruins. Its lines were feminine, but its appearance was terrifying. Smooth scales covered its skin, revealing a massive and powerful body. Its hair was a tangled mass of venomous snakes, each with sharp fangs, hissing and spitting venom.

"And who is this?" Luther looked at Cersei with a puzzled expression.

“An ally I met during the long battle with that Amazonian demigod.” Cersei put her hands on her hips and smiled coldly. “You should have heard of her name, mortal. Her name is Medusa.”

“Gorgon.” Luther nodded. “So mythology isn’t all made up.”

"And her two reliable older sisters."

As they spoke, two more eerie shadows appeared at the base of the walls on either side. They were Scythe and Euryale, banshees resembling Medusa, with venomous snakes coiled around their heads.

The Gorgon sisters. Famous monsters from Greek mythology, whose image has been borrowed and adapted in countless popular culture adaptations, retaining their iconic powerful abilities in every version.

Petrochemicals.

The three sisters smiled seductively, a dangerous red glint flashing in their eyes simultaneously. Each of the small snakes above their heads began to stir restlessly, writhing and hissing eerily.

Three beams of light surrounded Superman from different directions.

The next moment, the steel body remained in the air-raising posture and was fixed as a stone statue.

“It doesn’t look so ‘steel’ anymore,” Luther scoffed.

"Alright, now let's get down to business."

Cersei turned around and formed a perception hand seal. She scanned half a circle with the hand seal, seemingly sensing something, then changed her hand gesture and activated her magic.

An object in the adjacent exhibition hall suddenly reacted. The wall was pierced, and a golden scepter shot through the wall and landed in her hand.

Cersei twirled the scepter halfway through her hand, activating the red gem embedded at its tip. Then, she pointed the scepter to the side, and magic shot out, instantly creating a vortex of magic in mid-air.

Luther peered in: "Is this it?"

"The Realm of Depravity".

Cersei, holding the scepter upside down, strode into the vortex first.

"Come on, we still have a lot to do."

The criminals disappeared into it, and the vortex quickly closed in.

A few minutes later, Shen You and Diana, who had come all the way from Gotham, rushed into the hall.

"No, we're too late."

Diana spotted the petrified Superman immediately.

“I recognize this. It’s the Gorgon sisters, the three snake-haired bewitches, who also want to get involved in the Fallen Realm.”

She flew to Superman and sighed softly.

"I've heard of him, the Iron Man of Metropolis. He was a brave warrior; I can see he fought gloriously. It's just a pity..."

What are you doing "

She looked at Shen You strangely, only to see that the latter was holding his arm out, his five fingers spread out, pointing at the petrified Superman.

“I happen to know a technique to remove petrification with a beam of light. I scanned the magical frequency acting on him, did some simple reverse analysis and made some targeted adjustments. Let me try it and see if it works.”

Petrification is quite common in the Ultra series. Joneus from U40 demonstrated a beam of light in episode 13 of the TV series that could restore petrified people and objects to their original state. Ultraman Tiga, the eldest brother of the Heisei era, also used form transformation to break free from petrification.
