"Then there's no other possibility, is there?" the Goddess of Conflict wondered.
“I don’t know either, but that’s definitely impossible. I can vouch for it with the Empress’s reputation.” Hera shook her head. “There must be some other, more reasonable explanation.”
Just then, someone came to visit.
The goddess of discord turned her head at the sound: "Apollo, you've arrived. We were just discussing... Hmm? What happened to you?"
Apollo's originally purplish-black face was blown to a dark black color. Not only that, but he also looked completely drained, with his skin and muscles dry and brittle, resembling a walking dried-up salted fish.
"What have you been up to in the Fallen Realm, Apollo?" Hera frowned and rebuked.
Apollo sat down heavily, waved his hand, poured himself a glass of wine and drank it all in one gulp. He took a long time to catch his breath before raising his head.
"You would never guess what I saw."
Apollo looked like he'd seen a ghost.
"That monster, that thing... it simply shouldn't exist in this world."
"Typhon, is it? Olympus has sensed it too," Hera said in a deep voice. "We shouldn't have entered the realm of corruption."
“No, it’s not Typhon, you don’t understand.” Apollo shook his head repeatedly and said with difficulty, “Typhon was released but was instantly killed by that monster.”
Hera: "?"
The diva had a strange look on her face, as if she couldn't understand what he was saying.
"Yes, you heard me right. That creature from the star, a glowing guy, drained me dry, like a broken battery."
Then he got up, went online, A, Tiffany's failed, and in less than a minute it felt like he'd crushed an ant.
Hera: "???"
As she gradually digested the information Apollo provided, the Queen's mouth slowly opened uncontrollably, her face filled with doubt.
"You're saying there's something that crushed Typhon like an ant?" she exclaimed in astonishment. "How is that possible? If that were true, wouldn't all the gods on Mount Olympus be nothing more than ants in his eyes?"
"Do not."
Apollo shook his head, thought for a moment, and said seriously.
"At best, it's just plankton."
Hera: "??????"
Chapter 176 Offending His Majesty and Still Wanting to Leave?
A green trail of flame ripped across the sky as Lex Luthor, having broken free from a rift in the crumbling Fallen Realm, flew through the air, his thrusters crackling and exploding with sparks every few steps, making his entire suit of armor seem as if it were constantly at risk of crashing.
Luther gritted his teeth as he stared at the "total damage" report on the monitor and the constantly flashing alarms.
If we could just hold on a little longer, and fly a little longer...
Unfortunately it backfired.
After another series of crackling explosions, the thrusters finally failed completely. Suddenly losing power, Lei Tu maintained his speed and began to dive downwards.
With a series of shouts of "No, no, no," Lai Tu crossed his arms to protect his bald head as a headfirst sled plowed a long crack in the ground.
The force field shield and shock absorption technology allowed him to emerge unscathed. Lex Luthor sat up, shaking his groggy head, and frowned: "Damage report."
The 3D projection of the armor was quickly displayed in front of him, and it was red from head to toe.
“Very comprehensive.” Lai Tu sighed softly, then gritted his teeth.
Those abominable aliens were even more formidable than he had anticipated. The operation was another complete failure; the Eye of Argonauts was stolen, his allies fled, and the aliens proved far more difficult to deal with than he had expected.
But Lex Luthor will not be defeated by this, nor will he back down.
He proclaimed himself the representative of humanity on this planet, considering himself the most outstanding individual among them, and that the world rightfully belonged to him. This was his battle representing humanity against those invading species, and he knew he would ultimately win.
Now all we need to do is go back, adjust our strategy, and regroup.
A blinding light suddenly shone down on him, like a searchlight. Lai Tu instinctively squinted, raised his arm to shield his eyes from the light, and shouted, "Who goes there?"
Then his pupils contracted, and he was astonished when he saw the source of the light.
That was a spaceship.
Luther firmly believed that he possessed all the knowledge and technology on Earth, and that he could recognize anything made on Earth at a glance. But this ship before him seemed to have appeared out of thin air, its strange lines, its anti-aerodynamic design, and the numerous components whose function and purpose he couldn't discern—it could never possibly be from Earth.
Great! Is it some kind of solar system tourism season? Suddenly these aliens are everywhere, like rain.
The next moment, the spaceship cast a beam of light. Three figures fell down along the beam.
The leader was a woman, tall and curvaceous, exuding a regal air. The man and woman following behind her clearly appeared to be her subordinates.
"Are you sure this is it?" the woman in the lead asked.
“Of course, Your Highness. Although it was only for a brief moment, the spaceship did detect 'Ultraman's' unique energy reaction, and it was very strong. He must have just fought someone here.”
"Damn it, doesn't that mean we're too late again?"
"There's nothing we can do, he's just too fast," the burly man next to him said in a muffled voice.
Then the princess kicked him over.
Who do you think is faster?
"Oh, I'm sorry, Your Highness, that's not what I meant."
The three were naturally Maxima, her maid Sasu, and her attendant Sas.
The three quickly surrounded the crashed Lai Tu.
“A human?” the maid Sasu said thoughtfully. “I feel like I’ve seen this face somewhere before.”
“And it’s a human with no hair on its head.” Maxima said with a disgusted look. “So ugly, I don’t like it.”
A faint "well" shape seemed to appear on Lai Tu's forehead.
But he quickly suppressed his anger and smiled.
“It sounds like you’re looking for that alien called ‘Ultraman.’ I remember you. You two had a conflict near Gotham, a big battle, right?” Luther asked.
"Ok?"
Maxima tilted her head and thought about it; there really was such a thing. She had tried to prove her strength to the other person, but ended up being outplayed—in every way.
“Yes, that’s true. How did you know?” Maxima frowned.
"Heh, let's put it this way, I have my own channels. Moreover, I'm currently collecting information on the whereabouts of all kinds of gifted individuals worldwide, especially those who are the opposite of so-called heroes."
Luther's lips curled into a sinister smile.
"And I have observed your battles. Although you were outmaneuvered by that Ultraman that time, I can see your potential."
I'm building a legion specifically to recruit powerful individuals like you. Together, we can punish those arrogant superheroes.
"You... want to recruit me?" Maxima pointed at herself, her face filled with disbelief. "To join your legion and fight Ultraman?"
"And Superman, and all the others who stand in our way. Of course, it's only natural that when one Legion member is in trouble, others will come to their aid, helping to deal with the Legion members' respective nemesis."
Maxima and the maid beside her exchanged a glance.
"Sasu, what do you think?"
The maid asked curiously, "You mean, which side should we choose?"
“What? Of course not.” Maxima rolled her eyes at her and said irritably, “I mean, should we chop this bald guy off on the spot, or capture him alive, tie him up, and take him to our future emperor of Almeric to claim credit!”
Lai Tu was stunned for two seconds before realizing that he might have fallen too hard and his head was not clear, and that he had sent the invitation in a bit of a hurry.
This turn of events seems to be a little different from what he imagined.
"Well, if you're not interested, that's fine. I won't force you. I suddenly remembered I have something to take care of, so I'll be going now."
He turned to leave as he spoke.
But Maxima immediately turned her head, a glint of light flashing in her eyes.
"You think you can just leave after offending His Majesty?! Sass!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Sass, who had been kicked away earlier, sprang up with incredible speed and flashed in front of Lai Tu.
"Go away!"
With a loud shout, Lai Tu raised his right palm, and the energy of the palm cannon in the armored vehicle accumulated. The green light of the pulse beam surged and pointed straight at Sass's forehead.
However, nothing was shot out.
The palm-sized cannon overloaded and broke down with a series of crackling sparks.
Lai Tu looked utterly dejected.
"Seeing a ghost"
Sass pinned him to the ground and gave him a good beating.
Moments later, Lai Tu's armor was completely stripped off, revealing that his entire body underneath was bald, just like his head, and he was only wearing a pair of shorts.
Looking at the unconscious Luther, Maxima stepped forward, grinning arrogantly: "Heh, daring to plot against His Majesty Almerik, you bald bastard, you're tired of living."
Sass grumbled, "Your Highness, that person isn't even His Majesty yet. He hasn't agreed to anything."
Maxima's smile vanished instantly, and she remained silent for two seconds.
Then he kicked him far away.
“You’re the only one with a mouth,” Maxima muttered.
"Former prominent businessman and now notorious criminal Lex Luthor has been arrested."
A reporter conducts an interview on television news.
"It is said that he was arrested by a newly emerged superhero who claims to be a queen."
Shen You frowned slightly when he saw the news and the figure flying away in the background of the shot.
Maksima?
Good grief, not only has she not left, but she's also become a superhero? Does this mean she's preparing to be stationed on Earth for a long-term operation?
Emm
It might not be a bad thing for the Earth, but hopefully we won't get ourselves involved in any more trouble.
