"You make me proud, son, and you always will be," the father said with a kind smile.

His wife reached out and gently stroked his face. The blue light materialized into a hand that felt exactly like the touch of his beloved wife in his memory, along with her vivid expression and her seemingly expressive eyes.

“I love you, traveler,” she said softly, “forever.”

“We’ll meet again in the next life, Dad,” the son said with a bright smile.

His daughter hugged him tightly, just like she used to when she was alive.

"everything will get better."

The Holy Walker, with tears streaming down his face, embraced them all.

"Yes, everything will be alright."

Not only him, but everyone who survived the apocalypse saw their own hope in the instant the light shone down. Some wept with joy, others wailed. The entire world transitioned from the end of days to an era of hope, and everything became better again.

Today, this moment is forever etched into the sacred texts of Astonia, to be passed down through generations.

Looking up at the stars, what people see is the boundless starry sky that fills everyone with longing, the blue stars that were given new life along with their planet.

And most importantly, the miraculous giant of light that descended slowly in radiance and shone among the stars.

"Messiah," someone looked at the Holy Walker. "That's the Savior. The Messiah you've always told us about, isn't he? Because we didn't give up hope, he finally came to save us, right?"

The holy man wiped away his tears.

"No, he is my friend. He told me his name."

The Holy Walker smiled slightly. And the name he spoke of would be recorded in the new holy scriptures, to be passed down through generations in Astonia.

"Ultraman."

Chapter 206 Exploding Sound Signal

"I don't know how to thank you."

Back in Odim, the Holy Walker mentioned it for what seemed like the umpteenth time.

"You saved our planet, our world, from an almost impossible situation. I...I don't know what to say."

"Then there's no need to say anything."

Shen You smiled and patted him on the shoulder.

"Be yourself and stick to your path, that's the best way."

This is no mere formality. Saint Walker is the purest Blue Lantern, dedicating his life to saving and spreading hope. As long as he remains so and leads the entire Blue Lantern Corps in upholding this ideal, the stronger the light of hope shines, the more directly Shen You will benefit.

If one day everyone in the universe were to turn towards the light and be filled with hope, he felt he could become a god.

“I understand, I will remember. Astonia will remember too, the day you brought us hope again.”

“It’s not the hope I bring, but all of you, especially you, Holy Walker,” Shen You said. “You’ve been studying with Master Ganser for so long, you should have already understood how the emotional spectrum works.”

"What saved your planet was the power of the Blue Lamp, the light of hope, which I have just mastered. If it weren't for people like you who never give up hope, this light would have withered away from the spectrum of emotions billions of years ago."

"Yes, I understand. Hope is not the power of one person, but the unwavering belief of countless people across generations. The light in our hearts is the reason why it is so strong."

The Holy Walker closed his eyes and smiled.

"Yes, I feel it now. This warmth, this radiance, this is my light."

When he opened his eyes again, a blue light shone in them, reflecting the mark of the lamp ring.

Blue light shot out from the depths of Odim, cutting through the jungle and bushes, flying between the rocks, and locking onto its target without hesitation.

"Intelligent life has been locked."

"Saint from Astonia, you possess the power to bestow immense hope."

The lamp ring flew over and automatically slipped onto the holy man's finger.

A holy blue light emanated, enveloping his entire body and transforming into the image of a deep blue uniform. The mark of a lantern appeared on his chest, and the gentle blue light enveloped his entire body like a protective shield.

Welcome to the Blue Lantern Corps!

The Holy Walker's eyes gleamed with blue light as he looked at the lamp ring on his hand, his joy evident.

Ganther and Said soon followed the trajectory and flew over.

"Is the official version of the lamp ring finally finished?" Shen You looked at Gan Se.

Ganther smiled: "Yes, friend of light, and thanks to your help as well."

“Your learning speed is astonishing, and your perspective and thinking are very inspiring,” Said also said.

Shen You smiled and said, "I don't know much about the emotional spectrum. But as for light and hope, believe me, I've probably spent just as much time researching those as you have."

Enveloped in blue light, the Holy Walker nimbly soared into the air, rising and falling at supersonic speeds, spinning several times before finally suppressing his joy and landing back down.

Anyone who gains the ability to conquer the skies for the first time would likely be overjoyed, and even a Saint Walker would be no exception.

As he landed, he held up the light ring and said sincerely to Shen You, "I will never forget what you told me today. I will definitely pass on this light to more star systems and give hope to more people."

He then turned to Ganther and Said: "Of course, that includes you too, Master Ganther and Master Said."

“Congratulations on becoming the first member of the Blue Lantern Corps. You earned it yourself,” Ganther said, glancing at Shen You. “I know you wouldn’t be happy to become a member of the Blue Lantern Corps.”

"I have no intention of getting involved in the war between the lantern troupes or those complicated matters," Shen You smiled. "But I'll come back for a visit when I have time."

"Are you leaving?" The Holy Walker asked, somewhat reluctantly.

"Yes, that's about it. I've been here for quite a while, and I still have a lot of things to do over there."

You said you're from Earth?

"Yes."

Strictly speaking, Shen You is certainly not an Earthling, but they all know this, and no one brings it up.

"Okay, there are some things you might want to know."

Ganther and Said exchanged a glance, then spoke.

"You know, ever since that encounter with the robot hunter, I've been investigating that matter. About who modified the robot hunter, who the 'mastermind' behind it is, and their purpose."

I did some tracking, and the clues just happened to lead me there.

"Earth."

Shen You was not surprised and simply said calmly.

“Traces of machine hunters have already appeared on Earth, and I only found you by following the clues.”

“I think you probably already know this. But recently, I released an observer to sector 2814 to look for traces of the machine hunters. But I didn’t find the machine hunters, but I unexpectedly discovered some other signals.”

He flipped his palm, releasing the Guardian's energy that materialized into a virtual image. Shen You could tell that the background seemed to be in the solar system, not too far from Earth. A strange void was rotating and opening in the vacuum.

"What is that?" Shen You asked.

“My observers have returned the characteristics of the sonic boom,” Ganther said in a deep voice. “We believe it’s a sonic boom channel.”

Shen You's gaze turned serious.

The sonic boom tunnel is something that would terrify any civilization in the entire DC universe who sees it.

Those are portals made by interstellar black technology devices called "Mother Boxes." The size of the passage can vary; when it's small, it can accommodate a single person, and when it's large, it can directly teleport an entire interstellar fleet.

This technology is generally the patent of the Neo Protoss.

The most well-known is Darkseid, the king of Apokolips, the most violent and terrifying new god, the destroyer of civilization. Wherever he goes, there are only bones and ruins, and the devastation of life.

But what if a sonic boom occurred on Earth?

Shen You hesitated for a moment, then asked, "When did this happen?"

“It’s been a few days since the observer’s data feedback was delayed,” Ganther explained. “We’re quite far from sector 2814 here.”

"Then I must go back."

Shen You had originally planned to stay for another day or two, but the appearance of the Explosive Channel made him feel a sense of urgency. He had long known that it was only a matter of time before Earth in the DC universe was targeted by Apokolips, one of the Justice League's most formidable enemies.

In worlds like the main universe, the Justice League sometimes manages to repel Darkseid. But in many parallel universes, they fail. Darkseid faced the Justice League countless times throughout his long campaign, winning more often than he lost. In most of these universes, Earth became sustenance for Apokolips.

Shen You needs to ensure that the world he lives in doesn't...

Just before he was about to set off.

"An object has broken through the atmosphere," the blue light ring on the Holy Walker's hand alerted. "It's extremely fast."

The group of people all looked up at the same time.

With his super vision spanning mountains and clouds, Shen You instantly locked onto the green afterimage that broke through the atmosphere and swooped down with overwhelming force.

Hal Jordan landed with a bang, creating a huge cloud of dust. He flew through the smoke to Ganther and asked with a hostile expression.

"What else are you little blue men hiding from me?" he demanded. "And what exactly is a parallax monster?!"

Chapter 207 The target was undamaged.

The universe is far more complex than it appears to the average person.

The things that constitute its existence are not merely the material things that people are familiar with, but also the spiritual. The existence of the spirit, emotions, and even the thought itself of intelligent beings originates from a part of the fundamental laws. And these laws, in turn, sometimes transform into matter.

Parallax is exactly such a creature.

It is the embodiment of all fear in the universe, a monster formed from the materialized spirit of fear. From this description, it's easy to imagine how powerful it can be.

"What is a parallax monster?" Hal demanded.

Ganser frowned: "How do you know about Parallax, Jordan the Lantern? That's history, it's been taken care of by us a long time ago."

"Destroyed? Sorry, it's alive and well. In fact, it just took down seventeen Green Lanterns last week, all of them elite members of the Green Lantern Corps," Hal said coldly.

Both Ganther and Said showed surprise.

"That's impossible. Parallax is... it shouldn't be in this universe anymore."

"We banished it," said Saide. "Billions of years ago, we exiled it to the antimatter universe. It's completely isolated from reality there, so it's impossible for it to exist there."
