As their science and technology bureau chief often says, we are just scientists, we don't have their power.
In short, he temporarily relied on his racial talent to transform back into human form and quietly blend in. And although he could now transform into any form, he chose to revert to his appearance before he transmigrated.
At most, he made minor adjustments based on beauty filters, making him a little bit more handsome.
Whether he should be considered lucky or not, at least he still has this bracelet made by Hikari.
Who is Hikari?
The chief scientist of the Land of Light, the ultimate source of 90% of the Ultra race's advanced technology, he can create countless world-destroying, god-like devices by hand. You may not trust Hikari's security, but you certainly can't doubt the cheat codes he produces.
As is well known, all of the Ultra race's technology is based on an energy source called "light." This light is energy in the physical sense, but it is not entirely so; it exists in a subtle range between materialism and idealism, but leans slightly more towards idealism.
Therefore, when scientist Hikari designed the bracelet, he incorporated the Ultra race's idealistic technological concepts, allowing the bracelet to be charged through idealistic light. It's a bit like using someone else's Wi-Fi hotspot, harnessing the light from an entire area for power.
However, by sheer coincidence, Shen You landed in the DC universe. And it was a time before the Justice League appeared.
At this stage of Earth, crime rates everywhere are skyrocketing like Popeye after eating spinach, all vying for the title of worst-hit champions. Given the current state of the world, let alone this bracelet, even if Tiga himself were here, he'd probably just shrug and say, "Just boil it into soup, it's hopeless, goodbye."
Okay, just kidding. That's not how they teach in the schools of the Land of Light.
At least that's what all the teachers said when Shen You was in class—
Where there is no light, we will become the only light.
So for Shen You, this is like having a built-in system cheat code. Anything that evokes positive emotions in a living being, such as joy, gratitude, enthusiasm, and positivity, will be directly fed back into his experience points.
Alternatively, directly slaying the source of powerful darkness, an entity imbued with immense sin and darkness, can achieve a similar effect.
In essence, it's like leveling up by defeating monsters; the stronger the monster, the more experience you gain.
A day earlier, he had seen the giant starfish that had fallen from the sky in the mountains on the television news. Reporters had filmed the massive creature, dozens of meters tall, from a distance outside the cordon, as well as the scene of an unknown organization exchanging fire with it.
That triggered Shen You's long-dormant memories of comics.
Isn't this thing...?
Staro?
Starro, an iconic DC villain with a starfish-like appearance, is a cosmic monster floating in space and the enemy the Justice League fought when they first assembled in comic book history. He also appeared in the live-action film *Suicide Squad 2*.
In the movie version, Starro's origins and abilities were adapted to suit the strength of the main characters, making him appear weaker than in the original comics. In the end, he was overwhelmed by a swarm of rats that swarmed the city.
If it were the original version, it would be stronger, but only by a limited margin. Its main threatening method is actually its face-hugging, parasitic mind control ability. In terms of direct combat strength, most of the Justice League's veteran members could easily defeat it.
Regardless of which version of the storyline is used, Staro poses little threat to Shen You in the present day; he would likely be dealt with by a single Specium.
Thinking about that moving thing in the news, it's hardly some kind of cosmic monster anymore; it's practically a starfish-shaped, self-propelled experience pack!
Furthermore, Shen You knew that if this thing was dealt with even slightly slowly, and the facehuggers it used for brainwashing spread, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Of course, that doesn't matter.
Because he will take action.
And that's how yesterday's scene came about.
The giant of light descended from the sky and blasted the giant starfish into a pile of rubble with an incredibly powerful single blow.
That's right, it's Ultraman's signature move, the Specium Ray.
The Specium Ray is a required course in the academy's practical combat department, and Shen You had specifically studied it. This move is much more difficult than it appears on television; he practiced for a hundred years before he could control and master it with ease.
Of course, a hundred years isn't as exaggerated as it seems, because after his rebirth, he quickly discovered that the growth cycle and time perception of immortals are different from those of humans. He was actually quite young in the Land of Light; from a human perspective, he was likely still just a student.
No official statement has been issued yet, but public opinion has already exploded.
Mysterious Giants Destroy the Giant Beast.
Is it a god? Or an alien?
"They're definitely aliens!"
A young man in a leather jacket spoke emotionally to the camera.
“I live nearby, I saw it with my own eyes! You can’t even imagine, such a thing absolutely does not exist on Earth!”
"Alien invasion, the world is about to end!"
An even more excited guy snatched the reporter's words and forced his way into the camera's view: "I told you long ago, I warned you long ago! This world is beyond saving, even God couldn't stand it anymore, so he came in person!"
Soon this world, along with its greed and sin, will be razed to the ground, just like the Great Flood in the Bible.
"Some kids in Gotham City call the giant 'Ultraman' (Superman)."
Ultraman is actually the original name, but it's just a transliteration. The literal meaning is "superman," which is similar to the codename of a certain alien in the world who wears underwear on the outside and a red cape, but hasn't yet made his debut.
The benefits that this series of chain reactions brought to Shen You were also clearly visible.
The bracelet's spacetime energy experienced its most significant boost since his transmigration, and there were even unexpected gains.
"Energy reserves increased, new module unlocked, searching for the headquarters of the Science and Technology Bureau of the Land of Light. Searching."
When this message appeared, Shen You held his breath and waited expectantly, hoping that its signal could cross the vast multiverse and help him find his organization.
Unfortunately, the final message that popped up was still "Search failed, unable to locate the headquarters of the Science and Technology Bureau".
Shen You was slightly disappointed, but not surprised by it.
However, the bracelet then continued to display a message: "Technology reserve data below level three of the Science and Technology Bureau has been unlocked."
Shen You: "!"
This was truly an unexpected surprise. Outsiders who have never been inside the Science and Technology Bureau might find it hard to imagine the incredibly advanced black technologies that the Land of Light's top laboratories, under the leadership of their blue-skinned director, are constantly tinkering with.
For example, a cannon with the same power as the time-space bomb used by Belial in the TV series, capable of destroying a universe with a single shot.
For example, in the famous scene of the finale of Ultraman, Zoffy mentions "I brought two lives from the Land of Light" during his first appearance, which utilizes the ultimate black technology of life solidification. It can create and store "life," revive the dead, and is plug-and-play—even more outrageous than the eyes of a certain ninja clan.
Of course, these are all high-end technologies, things that only high-ranking officials in the Land of Light are qualified to access. Shen You quickly reviewed his existing technology list and soon found a relatively basic technology that was easy to reproduce and quite practical for him.
Specium Light Cannon.
Similar to the Specium Ray Gun designed by XIO of the Earth Defense Force in the TV series, although its power cannot be compared with the Specium Ray released by the original Ultraman, its principle and properties are the same.
What's cutting-edge technology to humans isn't particularly difficult for the Land of Light's Science and Technology Bureau. With complete blueprints and instructions, it was even easier for Shen You than some of the practical courses at the academy.
However, the basic materials he can get here are definitely worse, which feels a bit like Stark scavenging trash in a cave to make Iron Man armor by hand.
Of course, this was no challenge for the top graduate of the Land of Light.
After assembling it, he put the cannon on in his private laboratory in the basement of his house. Looking at its smooth lines and the gleaming metallic barrel, he felt more and more satisfied with his masterpiece.
As night fell, Shen You was dressed entirely in black, with a combat uniform and helmet, making him almost unremarkable. If one had to compare him to Snake Eyes from a special forces movie, his appearance might be somewhat similar.
Regardless of whether he's Batman or not, having a dangerous kidnapping addict loitering around your neighborhood is a cause for concern. Having finally managed to reach an agreement with the local gangsters, Shen You disliked any new variables arising in the community.
When Shen You was in the Land of Light, he took criminal investigation as an elective. In one class, he was even lucky enough to hear the famous Taro from the Space Garrison—no, I mean, Seven—giving a lecture.
Unlike Earthlings' criminal investigation skills, the Ultra race's criminal investigation and tracking training relies primarily on their eyesight, in addition to logical thinking abilities.
The Ultraman race's trained eyes can emit light waves of various spectra, and also have functions such as seeing into the distance, seeing through objects, and seeing through disguises. They can even scan any scene to find various traces left by actions taken many days ago, allowing them to "see" the course of events from the scene.
Shen You wasn't a professional investigator, but he was fortunate enough to get a perfect score in this elective course, so he was quite confident in his eyesight. A quick glance at the scene might reveal traces that ordinary people wouldn't notice.
The original plan was to go to the address Mr. Grimm mentioned where his child had been kidnapped, but unexpectedly, as he passed by the top of a street, he glanced down unconsciously and, with his superhuman vision, happened to spot a black car parked in the shadows of a secluded corner.
A completely black metal vehicle with a strange shape, a long and narrow structure, and a jet propulsion engine mounted at the rear.
This is definitely not a car model that a normal person would drive on the street.
Batmobile?
Shen You stopped in his tracks on the rooftop and looked down at the chariots below.
The overall design and construction are still somewhat different from the cool and futuristic Batmobiles in Shen You's memory, but it already has the prototype of a future Batmobile.
His eyes flashed with blue light as the vehicle rapidly approached in his field of vision. The penetrating rays emanating from his eyes pierced straight through the thick metal body, reflecting the situation inside the vehicle back to his eyes.
Sure enough, he spotted the legendary Dark Knight at a glance, the mysterious avenger, the greatest detective in the DC universe, the embodiment of fear for all criminals.
He was eating a boxed lunch while sitting in his Batmobile.
Shen You: "."

Chapter 4 Batman the Novice
As the saying goes, "Man is made of iron, and food is made of steel; you'll get hungry if you skip a meal."
Batman is the only designated ordinary human among the Justice League's founding members, a pure human. No matter how much he uses his powers, he still needs to eat, which is quite reasonable.
However, seeing him fully armed, wearing a terrifying pointed-ear mask, eating a boxed lunch, the image was somewhat shattered.
Then, when Shen You's gaze swept to the side and he caught sight of a large bag full of stacks of boxed lunches stuffed under the seat next to him in the Batmobile, he fell into silence.
Hmm. Is the master living in a Batmobile?
However, Shen You quickly guessed what was going on.
Following the gaze of the old man in the Batmobile, Shen You quickly spotted a luxurious venue across the street. A grand and imposing gate stood before him, flanked by flowerbeds bursting with colorful blossoms. A cobblestone path led directly into the venue, where ornate sculptures and fountains illuminated the space with colorful lights.
Its opulent style even seemed somewhat out of place with the overall atmosphere of Gotham City.
As night fell, luxury cars streamed in and out of the venue, a dazzling array of high-end models. Every man who alighted was impeccably dressed in a suit, leaving a substantial tip for the valet parking attendant. They strode towards the venue with the swagger of proud roosters, arm in arm with ladies in deep-V, high-shouldered zippered dresses.
Shen You quickly realized that this was the residence of Sal Maroney, one of Gotham's top drug lords. Clearly, he was hosting some kind of grand dinner there that evening, with invitations extended to Gotham's elite and upper class.
Maroney was one of the main leaders of Gotham before Batman's debut. At present, he is on par with the famous Roman Cameron Falcone, and they basically each control half of Gotham.
Harvey Dent, the infamous villain from the later Batman series, had half his face burned by Maroney. And the Penguin, who rose to power after the previous drug lords were overthrown in the post-Batman era, was initially a henchman promoted by Maroney.
The master is keeping an eye on Maronny.
Judging from the number of boxed meals inside the Batmobile, it must have been there for quite some time.
Fewer and fewer luxury cars were arriving from outside the street, indicating that most of the guests had already arrived. The venue closed its doors, and the evening's high-society revelry began.
It's also time for the bats to leave their nests.
The sliding door on the top of the Batmobile opened, and Batman jumped out. The door closed automatically immediately after he stepped out.
He arrived at the foot of the tall building in a secluded, shadowy spot, opened his multi-functional belt, and pulled out a rope connected to a grappling hook.
The inexperienced master doesn't seem to even have his signature grappling hook yet. Right now, he'll have to rely on ropes to scale walls and rooftops.
