I consulted the editor, and the book's readership is quite good so far. If it had been released last year, it might have had a chance to reach 10,000 subscribers.

But this year, fan fiction has been banned. Original works only need 3,000 reads to have a chance to be featured on the news app, but last week I heard that fan fiction requires at least 4,000 reads.

Now we're almost at four thousand reads, but I heard that because there were so many big names during summer vacation, six thousand more reads of fanfiction were lost...

It seems unlikely that "Little Trumpet" will succeed; the data is still quite good, it's just that this book might have been released at the wrong time QAQ

I'd love to read this again; hopefully, I'll at least have a chance to compete for a spot in the Sanjiang competition.

Chapter 46 Paradise Island

A group of figures emerged from the bushes and arrived at the shore, each with their bows drawn and arrows nocked, locking onto the two uninvited guests.

Amazons.

A group of muscular female warriors, each clad in golden armor. Though their armor varied, each wore intricate and elaborate patterns, gold and silver combat bracelets, and wide belts around their waists.

They had strong, well-developed muscles with beautifully curved lines, and each of them had a resolute and determined face. Most of their hair was tied back, and some had it braided into loops.

Unsurprisingly, everyone was hostile towards them, their faces showing a readiness to start a fight at the slightest provocation.

Shen You even suspected that there might be some kind of warning system in the magic protecting the Amazons. On the surface, they were clearly a primitive tribe, but in the original work, people would repeatedly land on the island for various reasons. No matter where on the coastline they landed or they would parachute into any corner of the island, the Amazons would always be the first to appear, like automatically spawning minions in a game.

Shen You didn't believe they didn't have a defense system.

Soon, a woman of outstanding bearing arrived on horseback, leading a small troop of cavalry. She was tall and imposing, clad in magnificent armor, with long flowing hair, and a solemn and dignified expression.

"Your Majesty," the Amazon warrior leading the group bowed to her.

This quickly convinced Shen You that this was the ruler of Paradise Island, Wonder Woman's mother, and the Amazonian queen Hippolyta.

Zola nervously shrank behind Shen You: "What are they? Primitive natives? They won't stew us in an iron pot, will they?"

"Don't be nervous, it won't happen," Shen You said.

Queen Hippolyta approached and frowned slightly when she saw Shen You's full-body armor.

"Man, what is your purpose in barging into Paradise Island wearing this so-called 'technological' weaponry?"

“This girl is being chased.” Shen You pointed to Zora behind him. “Hermes guided her here to seek refuge.”

These words indeed caused a stir among the Amazon warriors. Hippolyta frowned, seemingly surprised, and her mind raced with thought.

A blond Amazon beside the Queen shouted, "Liar! How could the great God allow a filthy man to defile Paradise Island? Men are all liars; they cannot be trusted!"

Shen You raised an eyebrow, but before he could say anything, an alarm suddenly flashed on the helmet display in front of him. Then, a huge target was marked from behind.

He turned around abruptly and saw that the sea behind him suddenly surged with turbulent waves, and a huge shadow suddenly broke out of the water!

It was some kind of bizarre sea monster, its enormous body rising from the water like a majestic mountain peak, splashing white spray around it. Its long, thick body was covered in dark scales, its face was ferocious, and huge sharp teeth protruded from its mouth, as if it were riding a huge wave through the sky.

The Amazons were all astonished. Queen Hippolyta shouted, "Get out of the way! Get out of the way!"

The female warriors quickly dispersed, some drawing their swords, some brandishing their spears, and others immediately drawing their longbows toward the sea monster.

This is the Amazonian people. To put it nicely, they're all fearless warriors; to put it bluntly, they're a bunch of reckless brutes. They don't care about mythology, monsters, or aliens; they just rely on their recklessness.

Perhaps for this reason, they have always been a regular backdrop to various major events. The number of times they have been raided and wiped out is comparable to the Green Lantern Corps, the infamous annihilation engine of the universe. They even share the same reckless nature as the Green Lanterns.

However, this time they don't need to risk their lives.

When Shen You turned around, energy mixed with electricity had already gathered from the right side of his armor, transforming into a spinning wheel.

Eight points of light!

The serrated edge spun rapidly, and the light wheel shot out from the hand, carrying a slightly pleasant humming sound as it spun out, imbued with highly concentrated Specium energy.

At that moment, the sea monster's pupils contracted, as if it sensed a tremendous threat from the spinning halo.

If given another chance, it certainly wouldn't have recklessly rushed ashore to face this terrifying creature.

Of course, it was too late.

The spinning blade easily cleaved its body, just like a skilled chef cutting a potato with a cleaver, leaving both sides smooth and clean with neat cuts.

With a single blow, the sea monster was cut in two, its eyes wide open in exaggerated disbelief even in death.

The Amazonians who were still running and forming formations suddenly stopped moving and turned around to look at the scene on the shore in disbelief.

The scene clearly showed that the armored man simply waved his hand casually.

A mountain peak snapped in two.

This is clearly not something an ordinary person could do, right?

Shen You swiftly and decisively killed the sea monster behind him, as casually as if he were chopping a potato. Then, turning around, he sincerely stated, "We are good people."

All the Amazons: "."

The blonde Amazon warrior who had spoken earlier paused for a moment, then turned to Hippolyta and said, "Since it is an instruction from the god Hermes, perhaps we should listen to it, Your Majesty."

"."

It's not that I'm a coward.

Amazons are never afraid.

However, when someone can effortlessly demonstrate the power to split mountains and cleave rocks, then whatever they say gains a lot of credibility.

Because whenever you suspect he's lying, just think about it and "Does he need to?" and your doubts seem to disappear instantly.

And so, Shen You and Zola successfully entered Paradise Island. Afterwards, there were even female warriors specifically tasked with dealing with the two large, split-in-half sea monster corpses on the shore.

It's so big, it can't fit in one pot. I wonder how many meals it would be enough for.

Although Shen Youlu believed him somewhat after seeing his trick, she still had some doubts. Queen Hippolyta asked Zola as they walked, "Hermes said to come to Paradise Island? Are you being chased?"

Zola nodded.

Who is chasing you?

“I don’t know,” Zola hesitated for a moment, “but he said, he said the reason I was being targeted was because…”

"Because of what?"

Hippolyta narrowed her eyes.

Zola stammered, "He said I was pregnant with Zeus's child."

Hippolyta stopped abruptly, and the Amazons around her froze, all eyes fixed on her.

First came surprise.

Then came a sudden realization, as if I suddenly understood what was going on.

“I see, that’s how it is. So you’ve been targeted by ‘her.’ No wonder he sent you here for protection.”

Hippolyta started walking again, muttering to herself.

"Oh? You know who's chasing her?" Shen You asked.

"Ah."

Hippolyta nodded and calmly uttered a name.

"Hera, the Queen of the Gods".

Chapter 47 The Queen's Request

Hera

Shen You seemed to suddenly understand.

Until just now, he had thought this was some kind of story involving the bloodline feuds of the gods, or some grand conspiracy by a super villain trying to obtain Zeus's bloodline. But it wasn't.

It turns out it was just the wife chasing after mistresses all over the world.

From this perspective, Hera must be having a real headache. Zeus's problem isn't new; for years, he's been like a pile driver wherever he goes. The green hats Hera has accumulated over the years could probably burst through the atmosphere. If an alien friend happened to pass by, they'd be astonished, thinking they'd wandered into Oa, because that towering stack would look like the Green Lantern Corps' main battery.

Actually, if we're going to hold anyone accountable, Zeus, who fabricated his identity to deceive and swindle young girls, is the one in the wrong. However, Hera had the time to search the world for mistresses but never addressed the root of the problem. Perhaps she figured she was no match for Zeus, and that even if she confronted him, she would most likely end up being bullied, so she simply didn't want to humiliate herself.

Of course, this is just a guess.

When Shen You suggested that perhaps Zeus could step in to resolve the issue—after all, it sounded like a domestic matter for Olympus—Queen Hippolyta rejected the idea.

“No one can find Zeus,” she said, pausing for a moment, “at least not now.”

Shen You noticed the subtlety in her wording: "What do you mean?"

"The King of the Gods has not appeared for a long time, and no one has heard news of him for a long time. Even the gods do not know where he has gone."

Hippolyta shook her head, seemingly unwilling to continue the conversation.

“We have indeed received God’s will. Rest assured, Zola will be safe on Paradise Island. And thank you very much for your help along the way.”

But as you should also know, Paradise Island has very strict rules regarding men setting foot there. Even as Queen, I cannot arbitrarily change these rules, so…”

“It’s alright, I wasn’t planning on staying long anyway.” Shen You interrupted decisively, then said, “To be honest, I came here partly because of Zola’s matter, and partly because a friend of mine introduced me to him.”

He told me that Paradise Island contained some nitrogen. He said he was an old friend of yours, someone who had fought alongside you many years ago; he wondered if you remembered his name.

Shazam the wizard?

Queen Hippolyta's expression changed almost imperceptibly.

“Of course.” She nodded. “The guardian of magic in the mortal world, the wizard who guarded the Rock of Eternity, is hard to forget. I remember.”

Queen Hippolyta stopped in her tracks. The Amazon warriors around her also stopped, casting questioning glances at her, waiting for her to speak.

She frowned and pondered for a while, as if she were making a difficult decision.

But soon she looked up and made a gesture.

“Take Miss Zora to a safe place,” Hippolyta said calmly, turning to Shen You. “Come with me.”

The two separated from the main group. Shen You followed behind the queen, winding his way through the dense, overgrown Amazon rainforest.

They arrived at a rather steep cliff. The Queen refused Shen You's invitation to fly her up, stubbornly climbing it with her bare hands. However, she was quite agile, and quickly reached the top of the cliff. Shen You activated his propulsion system and followed, flying up as well.

A protruding rock appeared ahead. Queen Hippolyta stepped forward and placed her hand on the rock. The entire mountain peak immediately emitted a deep rumble, a pale blue fluorescence flashed across the surface of the boulder, and the heavy stone door slid open with a loud crash.

Hippolyta led the way inside, and torches on either side of the cave lit up one by one. The orange light flickered and swayed in the cave, illuminating a bright path.
