Life Dungeon Game

"I got it."
He shrugged and took out a piece of paper to wipe the blood from his cheek.
Yorn's mind could only conceive of so many plans, and the things he might encounter were also limited, so guessing the truth wasn't difficult.
"Huh? Is my plan that easy to guess?"
Yorn was taken aback.
"Perhaps you should reflect on why you got caught even for stealing vegetables."
He smiled. Yorn had been caught stealing food from the VIP section and was beaten up.
"You know that was an accident, right?"
Yorn's face flushed crimson, and he began to mutter to himself, "I did it on purpose. I've disliked those people for a long time. I wanted to provoke them. That's the behavior of a warrior. I was provoking them, not stealing. You don't understand..."
He Ao smiled.
Jon and Nel met frequently and often teased each other.
Previously, it was Yorn who boasted and Nel who listened, with Yorn in control; now, it's Hoo who's in control.
"Let's go."
He Ao turned around and walked into the depths of the night.
"where to?"
Yorn was taken aback.
“Go save your grandmother,” He Ao said calmly. “Was she captured by the Ice Wolf Gang?”
“It’s dangerous there,” Jon said, keeping up with Heo. “Let me think of a plan. I don’t want to drag you into danger.”
"Following your plan is the real danger."
"Who do you look down on?"
"you."
"I must come up with a foolproof plan to make you look at me in a different light."
"A foolproof plan to avoid getting beaten up for stealing vegetables?"
"I already said that was a provocation, not theft!"
Do you still have the Ice Wolf Gang's contact information?
"Yes, we're heading in right away, I need to delete this."
"Delete what? Two hundred thousand yuan! People are practically throwing money at you, why would you refuse it?"
"what?"
The two walked further and further away into the night.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, Yorn suddenly whispered, "Neil, I feel like you're a little different."
He Ao paused, "What's different?"
Yorn scratched
Scratching his head, he said, "I don't know what's different, but I seem to be more confident?"
He pondered for a moment, then said, "I feel there's a fire burning inside you, a raging fire. Perhaps I should advise you, but it seems that if what happened to me happened to me, I would also want to kill their whole family."
"It's like if the Ice Wolf Gang really killed my grandmother, I'll take a few of them down with me even if I die."
"You haven't considered selling me?"
He Ao laughed.
“I’m not stupid,” Yorn spat.
"Do you think they'll really release my grandma if I sell you? Do they really think they'll give me money? I'm valuable because I'm your friend, not because I'm inherently valuable. In the end, in their eyes, we're just worthless lives, and they can kill us without a second thought."
If you really die, my grandma and I will be next, so I've been prepared for this for a long time. Killing one is not a loss, killing two is a huge gain.
God is fair; everyone only has one life. Trading my worthless life for those powerful figures' lives is a huge win, no matter how you look at it. I haven't taken action yet; I've just been figuring out how to make it the most worthwhile.
Heo stared at Yorn, whose eyes burned with a fire no less intense than his own. Having witnessed that terrifying monster today, Yorn's performance wasn't actually bad; he was just somewhat fearful, but he kept up with Heo's pace the whole time.
Jorn's parents were both miners, and they died when Jorn was very young.
Like Nell's father, he died in a stampede at the mine.
In Rock City, there are many people like Jon and Nell, whose burning flames are hidden in silent despair.

Headquarters building of the mining group.
In the dark underground warehouse, a long, narrow heavy truck slowly drove out.
"Taking mining rigs to the wilderness again today? I heard it's very dangerous outside the city."
The security guard at the entrance took the cargo manifest from the driver, glanced at it, and verified it through the intelligent system.
He glanced at the passenger side of the truck, where there seemed to be a shadow sleeping.
"What can we do?" The driver, a kind-looking, robust middle-aged man, offered a cigarette to the security guard with his calloused hands.
“My daughter is about to start middle school, and my wife wants to move to a bigger house. Money, money, money, everything costs money. Although this line of work is dangerous, every little bit helps.”
"Sigh, it's not easy for anyone. My child is about to start elementary school."
The security guard took the cigarette, lit it with an electronic lighter, put it in his mouth, waved, and opened the access control. "Have a safe trip."
"Thanks."
The driver waved, rolled up the window, and started the vehicle.
The long, narrow heavy truck drove out of the underground warehouse and onto the road at the end of the night.
The decorations inside the car swayed gently, and next to the steering wheel, a photo frame containing a picture of a family of three vibrated slightly.
An ordinary couple leans against each other, with a cute girl in pigtails holding a teddy bear standing in front of them, smiling happily at the camera.
"Is this your child?"
A soft voice came from the passenger seat, "How old is she now?"
“Yes,” the driver rolled down the window and lit a cigarette, “If he’s still alive, he’ll be twelve in a couple of days.”
"Still alive?"
The person in the passenger seat was taken aback.
“Three years ago, I and several fellow workers organized a strike at the mine to protest against the mining conglomerate’s increase in working hours,”
The driver had a cigarette in his mouth, the thick smoke blurring his face. "The conglomerate ordered the Ice Wolf Gang to kidnap my wife and daughter. When I got back, all I found were their cold corpses."
"Feel sorry."
The person in the passenger seat said softly.
“There’s nothing to apologize for,”
The driver took the cigarette out of his mouth and put it out the car window. "This lousy mutual aid society of ours is full of the same kind of lost souls. They should have gone to hell long ago, but they're just hanging on by hatred and refuse to leave this world."
The truck sped past on the road, the flashing streetlights illuminating the face of the passenger in the front seat.
He was a young man with a chiseled face and sharp eyes, who looked to be only in his early twenties.
"The last part has been stolen. Assembly should take about thirty minutes. Are you all ready?"
The young man changed the subject.
"We've acquired a batch of small mechs. A dozen or so brothers will be there to cover you. The Ice Wolf Gang leader definitely has more than one Class C mech, so be careful."
The driver paused for a moment, then said, "Theoretically, you should have had some time to adjust since you just got back, but the conglomerate has been making some big moves these past few days, and we don't have time anymore. That's why the old foreman brought you back early."
"He has already told me."
The young man nodded slightly.
“I’m going with you today, and I’ll lead the team of those brothers.”
The driver spoke slowly
Road.
The young man looked up at the driver and said, "This time it's very dangerous."
"Anyway, I've had enough of living," the driver said, taking a deep drag on his cigarette and flicking the butt out the window. "Before I die, sending a few of those Ice Wolf Gang bastards to hell will be worth it."
As he spoke, he looked at the young man and said, "You, on the other hand, are still so young."
"I died two years ago,"
The young man pulled out a worn-out teaching material from his pocket. The cover of the material was stained with blood. He glanced at the material and said, "It's just that Hell won't accept me. They want me to bring some more bastards down with me to enrich Hell's population."
"Hahaha."
The driver burst into laughter.
Those sitting here are all desperate, lonely ghosts.
The driver turned off the autopilot, disconnected the vehicle's network, and switched to full manual operation. He glanced at the educational materials in the young man's hand and asked, "You have children too?"
“No, I have a younger brother,” the young man said, glancing down at the book in his hand. The cover of the book was still stained with mottled bloodstains that had been dried for who knows how long. “He was a good student, went to high school, and was very well-behaved, unlike me, who went off to join gangs after graduating from high school and did nothing productive.”
"How is he now?"
The driver glanced at the very old and worn-out textbook.
“Something unexpected happened later, and I didn’t go home for two years,” the young man said, looking out the window. “When I went home a couple of days ago, there was no one there. It seems the conglomerate has issued a warrant for his arrest.”
The driver understood the implication: everyone in the mutual aid society was more or less involved with the mining conglomerate. Given the conglomerate's methods and style, the fact that no one in the family was alive meant that there might truly be no one left alive.
He can understand how young people feel.
