Hogwarts: I will never become the Dark Lord

Because of Dumbledore's excessive attention to him, Jerry had previously harbored doubts about his origins. His first meeting with Newt Scamander in the Headmaster's office that morning, and witnessing his reaction, further convinced Jerry of his true parentage.

Jerry asked the question on purpose to see Newt's reaction, and the result was obvious: Mr. Scamander is not good at lying.

So his surname isn't Green, but Grindelwald!

"Mr. Scamander, are you alright?"

Looking up, Newt saw Jerry's warm and bright smile, and felt a momentary daze. He seemed to see a young Grindelwald, but also a young Dumbledore.

Chapter 32 Apostles

"Albus, Albus, something's happened!"

After hurriedly saying goodbye to Jerry and the others, Newt rushed hurriedly toward Dumbledore's office.

Seeing Newt's flustered expression, Dumbledore comforted him, "Don't be nervous, Newt. Let's sit down and talk things over. Would you like some lemonade?"

Sitting on the sofa, Newt said somewhat uneasily to Dumbledore, "I'm sorry, Albus, that child probably already knows about his origins."

Dumbledore's expression changed, and he said, "Newt, are you sure? Did you say anything to Jerry?"

“I’m sure, but I didn’t tell him anything. Jerry figured it out himself. Albus, that kid is too smart, today…”

Newt recounted everything that had happened at Hagrid's hut to Dumbledore, and then silence fell over the office.

Dumbledore sighed and broke the silence between the two, saying to Newt, "It's not your fault. Jerry had suspected it before, and as I said before, he's very intelligent."

Newt said, "Albus, I think you should sit down and have a serious talk with him, since you're part of his family too..."

Dumbledore shook his head and said, "I will talk to him, but not now. The time is not right yet."

After hearing Dumbledore's words, Newt didn't continue the conversation, since it was, after all, a family matter.

"Newt, tell me about Jerry's pet first!"

Newt nodded, his expression serious. "Albus, that was a manufactured magical creature. This method is truly appalling! Was it you or Grindelwald who did it?"

Dumbledore frowned, thought for a moment, then shook his head and said to Newt, "It's not us. I've seen that bird. Gellert and I can't do that."

"But besides you, there's Gellert, which leaves only Nicolas Flamel. Could it be him?"

Dumbledore said, "Neither Nicol nor anyone else. He's too old to make them."

"But apart from you few, I really can't think of anyone else capable of doing such a thing, Albus. Are you hiding something from me?"

Seeing Newt's agitation, Dumbledore said, "Calm down, Newt!"

Realizing he had overreacted, Newt took a deep breath and apologized to Dumbledore, saying, "I'm sorry, Albus, what happened this afternoon has really affected me. I never imagined anyone would create magical creatures; it's such an evil act."

After hearing his words, Dumbledore fell into deep thought.

After a moment, Dumbledore became serious and said to Newt, "Newt, there are some things I wasn't planning to tell you now, but we desperately need your help! I hope you'll keep what I'm about to say a secret."

Seeing Dumbledore's serious expression, Newt said, "Just tell me what you need me to do. Should I use the Faithful Charm?"

Dumbledore shook his head and said to him, "Not for now. We don't have much information at the moment. Just be careful to keep it a secret."

Newt nodded and agreed.

Dumbledore stood up, went to his desk, took a piece of parchment from the drawer, and handed it to Newt.

After receiving the parchment, Newt discovered that there were no words on it, only a picture.

The design consists of a circle, a triangle, and a lightning bolt symbol. Unlike the symbol of the Deathly Hallows, this design features a circle enclosing a triangle, with the lightning bolt symbol running through the entire design.

Newt looked puzzled, then joked, "Is this the new Deathly Hallow design Grindelwald gave to the Vigilantes?"

Dumbledore smiled and said to Newt, "This is the mark of an apostle."

"The Apostles are an extremely ancient wizarding organization that has existed for thousands of years. Their origins are probably only known to Merlin!"

Newt was a little confused and asked, "An organization that's been around for almost a thousand years, how come I've never heard of it before?"

Dumbledore said, "Not to mention you, even Gellert and I wouldn't have noticed this mysterious organization if the apostles hadn't suddenly become more active in recent decades."

"This organization keeps an extremely low profile and has almost never been involved in the conflicts of the wizarding world. For the past thousand years, they have been searching for, or rather waiting for, something."

"But Albus, what does this have to do with Jerry? Why would they give Jerry a magical creature they've worked so hard to create?"

Dumbledore shook his head and said to Newt, "We don't know the exact reason either, but one thing is certain: Jerry is very important to the Apostles. That bird was probably sent to protect Jerry!"

Upon hearing Dumbledore's words, Newt's mind went blank for a moment. He then said to Dumbledore, "So, you want me to help you find out about this mysterious organization?"

Dumbledore nodded and said to him, "I hope you can help us gather intelligence as much as possible, but please remember not to trust anyone easily. The Apostles' identities are very secretive, and anyone could be an Apostle."

"Don't laugh at me, but there are even apostles in Hogwarts."

Newt asked incredulously, "Have you confirmed their identities? Why didn't you just arrest them and use truth serum? Wouldn't that have cleared everything up?"

Dumbledore said helplessly, "It's not that simple. Gellert and I have tried all sorts of methods, but we haven't been able to get any useful information."

“Apostles have a special magic to protect their brains, and we are currently unable to break through this protection to obtain information.”

“Newt, there aren’t many people I can trust, but you are one of them. I’m counting on you for this. We know so little about the Apostles, and I hope you can find out some information as soon as possible so that we can learn more about this mysterious organization.”

Newt nodded in agreement.

“Newt, please remember that this organization is very dangerous. You must be vigilant and ensure your safety when gathering intelligence.”

"I understand. Is there any other news from Albus?"

After thinking for a moment, Dumbledore said, "Gellert and I have also discovered some uncertain information over the years. There seems to be some connection between the Apostles and Voldemort."

“We discovered that the shadow of the Apostles runs through Voldemort’s growth path, so Gellert and I both suspect that Voldemort was created by the Apostles, and the purpose is still unclear.”

Newt shook his head and said to Dumbledore, "Albus, is this why you let Grindelwald run rampant? Are you two working together now?"

After a moment of silence, Dumbledore said meaningfully, "It's one of the reasons, I suppose!"

Chapter 33 Pursuit

Newt looked somewhat uneasy after hearing Jerry's question, as if his heart was in turmoil. He hurriedly made an excuse and nervously left Hagrid's cabin, as if he were running away from something.

"Jerry, did we say something wrong? Why did Mr. Scamander leave in such a hurry?"

Seeing Newt suddenly looking flustered and rushing away, Hermione couldn't help but wonder. She asked Jerry, "What happened, Jerry?"

Jerry shook his head helplessly, feeling a little disappointed. He had hoped to get more information from Newt before visiting the magical zoo inside his trunk!

On the way back, Hermione asked, "Jerry, is the Grindelwald you mentioned last the dark wizard that Dumbledore defeated?"

Jerry nodded and said, "That's right, it's him!"

Upon hearing Jerry's answer, Hermione couldn't help but exclaim, "Dumbledore is truly amazing!"

"Dumbledore is indeed powerful; he's now widely recognized as the strongest white wizard in the wizarding world."

"Jerry, do you think we'll become such powerful wizards someday?"

Seeing Hermione's hopeful expression, Jerry said jokingly, "Of course, Hermione, never underestimate your talent. You're now Gryffindor's know-it-all and Professor McGonagall's future successor!"

"Ugh, Jerry, even you're making fun of me!" Hermione slapped Jerry's arm hard and said angrily.

The two of them laughed and joked all the way to the Great Hall of Hogwarts.

As the two pushed open the door, they saw Malfoy rushing out of the Great Hall with a gloomy face, while Harry and the others in the distance were overjoyed.

"What happened? Why are you all so happy?"

Jerry and Hermione walked over and asked the excited trio.

"Malfoy just tried to provoke us again, and Ron said that Harry has joined the Gryffindor Quidditch team and will be representing the house in a tournament soon..."

Before Neville could finish speaking, Ron blurted out, "Jerry, didn't you two see the change in Malfoy's expression just now? It was hilarious!"

“I think you should keep your voice down a bit, what do you think, Mr. Weasley!”

Before anyone knew it, Snape reappeared among them, placing his hands on Harry and Ron's shoulders and speaking in a somber tone.

Upon hearing Snape's voice, their laughter abruptly ceased.

Snape ignored everyone else and turned to Jerry, saying, "Come to my office, I need to speak with you." Then he turned and left.

Jerry had no choice but to leave with Snape.

Upon arriving at the office, Snape looked at Jerry with icy eyes and asked, "Did you know that Harry Potter is going to participate in the Quidditch match?"

Jerry nodded, which was considered an answer to Snape's question.

"You go to the Slytherin Quidditch team tomorrow, find Marcus Flint, and tell him it was me who said this."

Jerry was a little confused by Snape's words and couldn't quite follow his train of thought.

Realizing what he had done, he quickly retorted, "Professor Snape, I don't like Quidditch. I think there's no sport more stupid or dumber than Quidditch!"

Hearing Jerry's rebuttal, Snape was not angry at all. Instead, he nodded and said, "I didn't expect that your brain, which is only slightly better than a troll's, could say something so correct!"

Seeing Snape's furrowed brows and gloomy face, it was clear that he did not agree with Jerry's opinion.

So Jerry came up with a bad idea and tentatively said, "Professor Snape, I think Malfoy would be quite suitable..."

"Shut up, you idiot!"

"How rude," Jerry thought to himself.

“Jerry Green, you should know about the House Cup, right? I only have one request: Slytherin cannot lose to Gryffindor, do you understand what I mean?”

"But Professor Snape, the House Cup isn't just my business; I can't control the other Slytherin students!"

Snape ignored Jerry's explanations and said, "I don't care what methods you use, I just want results. And you're quite resourceful, aren't you? You've got the first-year students completely under your thumb."

"If you don't finish, hmph! I'll send you to reunite with your troll brothers!"

Upon hearing Snape's unreasonable request, Jerry said, "Professor, if I break any school rules, you'll have to bail me out."

Snape sneered and said sarcastically, "So Mr. Green is afraid of school rules too!"
