“Philippe, how could you say such a thing? We are all from the same college, and we should support and help each other. I, Malfoy, am not a person who discriminates based on bloodline.”
The Slytherin students around Malfoy looked at him like he'd seen a ghost. Was that your line?
Malfoy wiped the sweat from his brow, ignoring the stares of those around him, thinking to himself, "You'll all see ghosts someday too."
The subsequent Sorting Ceremony went smoothly without any further incidents. The Sorting was completed quickly, and Professor McGonagall rolled up the parchment, picked up the Sorting Hat, and left.
Albus Dumbledore stood up.
He looked at the students with a beaming smile, opening his arms to them, as if nothing could make him happier than seeing his students gathered together.
“Welcome!” he said. “Welcome everyone to Hogwarts for the start of the new school year! Before the feast begins, I’d like to say a few words. These are: Idiots! Crybabies! Trash! Twists!”
Most people didn't understand what Dumbledore meant, but everyone applauded and cheered.
After the cheers, the food appeared on the table. Jerry had never seen so much food laid out on the table at once: roast beef, roast chicken, pork chops, lamb chops, sausages, steak, boiled potatoes, baked potatoes, potato chips, Yorkshire pudding, pea shoots, carrots, gravy, and ketchup.
Jerry was indeed a little hungry. He picked up his knife and fork and began to eat slowly and deliberately. His movements looked noble and elegant. Coupled with his handsome appearance, the Slytherin girls around him put down their knives and forks and watched him quietly.
After the meal, Professor Dumbledore stood up again.
The auditorium fell silent once more.
"Oh, now that everyone has eaten and drunk their fill, I want to remind you of a few things to keep in mind."
"The forbidden forest next to the school is off-limits to all students, including older students. If Hagrid finds out, they'll definitely be put in solitary confinement."
"Furthermore, our administrator, Mr. Filch, also asked me to remind everyone not to cast spells in the hallways during breaks."
"Finally, I would like to remind all students that if you do not wish to suffer an accident and die a painful death, please do not enter the corridor on the right side of the fourth floor."
"I'd like to add that the restricted area of the library is off-limits to all students, regardless of whether they are in higher or lower grades. Anyone caught doing so will be severely punished."
After listening to Dumbledore's words, Jerry felt that he wasn't warning the students, but rather giving Harry a Hogwarts first-year survival guide.
What does the last sentence mean? Is it to prevent Harry from running around? Or to keep the Weasley twins out and causing trouble? It can't be to keep me out, right?
"Now, before you all go to bed, let's sing the school song together!" Dumbledore shouted.
Dumbledore flicked his wand, and a dazzling light shot from its tip, displaying lines of lyrics above the dining table.
"Everyone, choose a tune you like, get ready, sing!" said Dumbledore.
"Hogwarts, Hogwarts"
Please teach us the knowledge.
No matter we are bald old people
"Or a child who fell and hurt their knee..."
Everyone sang in their own tune, and the Weasley twins even sang the melody of a funeral march. The cacophony of voices was simply torture for the ears.
“Music,” Dumbledore said, wiping his eyes, “is far more captivating than anything we do here! Well, it’s bedtime now. Nighttime strolls are not permitted at Hogwarts. Students, please return to your respective houses and dormitories.”
The first-year Slytherin students followed their prefect, Gemma Farley, through the noisy crowd out of the Great Hall and headed to the common room.
In the corridor, Jerry ran into Hermione, who wanted to take him to the professor to explain the situation and ask him to transfer to another house, preferably Gryffindor.
Jerry refused Hermione's offer, comforted her, and after escorting her to the Gryffindor group, he returned to join the Slytherin freshmen in the common room below the castle.
Chapter 12 Night Attack
Jerry followed at the back of the group, going down the stairs until he reached the castle's basement, where he stood before a damp stone wall.
“Remember, the entrance door is hidden in the stone wall. This week’s password is: Pureblood. The password changes every two weeks,” Prefect Gemma Farley told the new students.
After passing through the stone gate, you arrive at Slytherin's common room, a semi-transparent room located at the bottom of the lake (the Black Lake). Giant octopuses or strange creatures can often be seen through the windows.
The walls are made of black Gothic marble, and the ceiling is a transparent semicircle carved from crystal, through which you can see the shimmering light above.
A green-glowing lamp was chained to the ceiling. Inside, there was a fireplace with an intricately carved mantel, and several carved chairs nearby.
Upon arriving at the common room, Prefect Gemma Farley stood on a high place and began her speech:
“Congratulations! I am Prefect Gemma Farley, welcome to Slytherin House. First, let me clear up some mysteries. You may have heard some rumors about Slytherin House, namely that we are all dark wizards…”
He talked a lot, all of it pureblood stuff, but Jerry didn't pay much attention. After the speech, the other students were introducing themselves, saying which family they came from, but Jerry ignored them and went back to his dorm alone.
Pushing open the dormitory door, I found a single room with luxurious decor. It was just a pity that Jerry didn't like it here; it was damp, cold, and dimly lit. I imagine it would be especially cold in winter, and I wondered if he would develop rheumatism after a while.
Most importantly, Tom can't fly in unless it stands on its own shoulder and brings it in.
Jerry thought about it and realized he could only ask Hermione to take good care of him.
After tidying up his belongings and checking every corner of the room, Jerry locked the door, washed up, went to bed, and fell asleep shortly afterward.
In the middle of the night, Jerry was awakened by a sound of voices.
"You two, walk quietly, don't wake him up!"
"What's there to be afraid of? He's just a freshman. Even if we barge in like this, he'll probably be trembling with fear."
"Hurry, Felix, use the unlocking charm to open the door! I can't wait to see that Mudblood cry!"
"The Cave of Alaho Opens"
With a "snap," the door opened and someone walked in.
Standing in the darkness, Jerry could see the people who had come. There were three of them. One of them was the older guy who had caused him trouble during the sorting process. Jerry didn't recognize the other two.
"Still sleeping in bed!" the big guy whispered to the other two, then jumped up and pounced on "Jerry" on the bed.
With a "crack," the bed frame broke. Big Guy realized something was wrong, lifted the blanket, and saw only a pillow. He then realized something was seriously wrong.
"Disarm you!" A spell rang out in the darkness, and the only student with a wand was disarmed.
"All petrified"
"All petrified"
"shattered to pieces"
Jerry quickly cast three spells, controlling two of them before casting a Shattering Spell on the last big guy. This was the first time Jerry had cast an offensive spell on a person.
Whispering
After quickly closing the door, he added a silencing spell to the big guy who was wailing in pain, so that the screams from inside the room wouldn't be heard from outside.
Jerry was furious. He couldn't imagine what would have happened if he hadn't woken up tonight and hadn't prepared in advance. If the big guy had hit him like that, his ribs would definitely have been broken. The more Jerry thought about it, the angrier he became. After hanging him upside down, the big guy cast a crushing spell on his right hand.
Seeing him struggle painfully in the air, his mouth wide open but unable to make a sound, made me feel a little better.
Jerry decided to teach these three a lesson tonight and also to warn the other Slytherin students that he was not someone to be trifled with.
He rummaged through his suitcase and pulled out a baseball bat, which Jerry had specially prepared; now it came in handy.
Seeing Jerry approaching him with a friendly smile, holding a magic wand in his left hand and a baseball bat in his right, he struggled even more fiercely.
"Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, it won't hurt!" Jerry comforted him when he saw his frightened expression. It was still a bit of a pity that he couldn't hear their screams. If conditions allowed, Jerry really hoped that all the Slytherin students could hear them.
With a "thud," a baseball bat struck his chest. The big guy instinctively used his uninjured left hand to block, but it snapped in two with a crack.
"Hey, what were you blocking for? I just wanted to break a few of your ribs. Now look what happened, your left hand is broken too."
Ignoring his pleas for mercy, Jerry raised the baseball bat again and struck him squarely in the chest. This time, the blow landed squarely on his chest, and Jerry heard the sound of bones breaking. The big guy passed out.
Seeing this, Jerry nodded in satisfaction, then turned to look at the other two who had been petrified.
After the petrification curse was lifted, the two were in tears, their legs trembling with fear.
After hanging the two upside down, Jerry didn't give them a moment's peace and asked about the three of them.
“Mr. Green, I… I was wrong. Please forgive me. It was all Green’s idea. He was the one who threatened us,” Philip said, crying.
These two men, one named Philip and the other Jack, and the larger one who had fainted, was named Gray. They're now blaming Gray for everything, but it's no use, because Jerry has no intention of letting them off the hook.
"Don't be afraid, why are you still crying? Look at Gray, he lost three of his limbs, but he doesn't have any complaints now, does he?"
Seeing that Jerry wasn't going to let them off the hook, the two men cried out for help. Jerry didn't hold back and hit them in the mouth with a baseball bat, knocking out all their front teeth.
Jerry stared coldly at Philip and Jack, and commanded, "Swallow them!"
The two were terrified and did as Jerry said.
Seeing how obedient the two were, Jerry's friendly smile reappeared on his face. The next step was the same: first, a whispered spell, then a baseball bat. While a wand was convenient, nothing beats the satisfaction of hitting someone with a baseball bat.
Jerry doesn't favor anyone; they're all the same. Two arms, one leg, and a few ribs—it won't kill them, but it will make them remember him, fear him, and consciously avoid him in the future.
"Phew~" Jerry wiped the sweat from his brow, glanced at the three unconscious people, stripped them naked, leaving them with nothing, and threw them into the school's common room so that all the Slytherin students could have a good look.
As for whether the three of them would complain to Snape, Jerry was fearless, as long as those three still had the guts.
Jerry was quite skilled; he didn't kill them. With the expertise of the school doctor, Mrs. Bobby Pomfrey, they would only have to lie in bed for a few days and suffer a bit.
Moreover, they were the ones who started the trouble, and it happened in his own dormitory, so it was self-defense. At most, Dumbledore would just say that he had gone a little too far.
Chapter 13: At Hogwarts, Afraid of School Violence
"Thump, thump, thump~"
A knock on the door woke Jerry up. He glanced at the alarm clock on the bedside table; it was only five in the morning.
Jerry, still a bit grumpy from waking up, snapped, "Who is it? Can't you see it's only five o'clock?"
Upon opening the door, he saw Malfoy standing there, fully dressed, looking somewhat fearful. He said, "Several Slytherin seniors are injured. Professor Snape wants everyone to gather in the common room."
Malfoy had just come from the lounge and saw the miserable state of the three men. He was certain that Jerry was responsible. Philip had told him last night that he was going to teach Jerry a lesson, and this morning the three of them ended up like this.
After Jerry got dressed and quickly washed up, Malfoy, seeing that he was in no hurry, didn't dare to rush him and had to go back to the common room first.
Twenty minutes later, Jerry finally finished getting ready and leisurely walked to the common room, only to find it already full of people. When the Slytherins saw Jerry arrive, they all stared at him and then made way for him.
Snape stood at the very front, his cold gaze sweeping over the crowd. Seeing Jerry approach, he asked:
“Mr. Green, why are you so slow? Didn’t you sleep well last night?” Snape’s hoarse voice came through.
"No, Professor, the Slytherin dormitories are wonderful, the beds are very comfortable, and I would still be fast asleep if Malfoy hadn't woken me up," Jerry answered Snape honestly, his meaning clear: I slept very well last night and know nothing.
Snape didn't say anything. After staring at Jerry with a cold gaze for a while, he told everyone to go back to their dorm rooms.
