Mystery: A Spark

It opened its mouth and uttered a foul-smelling word, a word from the demonic language:
"die!"
puff!
Klein's body froze instantly, as if his heart had been gripped tightly by an invisible hand.
The figure frozen in mid-air instantly thinned and faded, turning into a roughly cut paper doll.
And this paper figure was covered with red rust, mottled red rust!
With a clang and a snap, two sounds, almost indistinguishable in sequence, Klein's figure reappeared, smashing through the bay window and lunging towards the stone-paved street curb outside.
The paper doll slowly floated down, igniting flames that emitted the smell of sulfur.
The demonic giant dog growled and pounced again, leaping onto the windowsill.
A ball of crimson fire, tinged with blue, flew out of its mouth and blasted towards the enemy's escape route.
As soon as Klein landed, he immediately rolled again. The crimson fireball with blue hues slammed into him, but it didn't explode immediately. It seemed to be affected by an invisible force, slowing down the explosion.
Boom!
After Klein tumbled and leaped away a distance, the fireball expanded and exploded, shattering the surrounding stone slabs.
Seeing that the demonic giant hound was about to give chase, Klein opened his mouth as if he were prepared.
He shouted at the top of his voice:
"Killing!"
"Help!"
"Killing!"
"Help!"
The sound seemed to have been given a special effect, spreading far and wide in the quiet night, waking up the residents of the entire street, and reaching the ears of patrolmen two streets away.
Klein's frantic figure vanished instantly amidst cries of "Murder!" and "Help!"
The demonic giant dog stopped its attack abruptly. After a second of thought, it decided to retreat and clean up the scene.
But at that moment, it saw a giant silver wolf slowly emerge from the corner.
"You want to cover up the crime? No way! Run, little black dog, or you'll get caught." The giant wolf grinned maliciously, and a boy's voice came from its mouth.
The demon hound stared intently at the majestic, silver-white giant wolf before it, its mouth gaping open, reeking of a foul stench, its expression contorted with rage, as if it were about to launch an attack at any moment.
But at that moment, the faint shouts of patrolmen could be heard in the distance:
"Quick! Quick! The sound is right ahead!"
Startled by Klein's cries for help, they immediately grabbed their weapons and chased after the source of the sound.
The recent series of murders has caused widespread panic in Backlund, leading to a significant increase in the number of night patrols, equipped with better firearms.
Hearing the faint shouts, the ferocity in the demon hound's eyes intensified.
It was considering one thing: whether or not to kill the giant wolf in front of it and then escape.
However, it couldn't figure out the true nature of the majestic giant wolf in front of it. If it got entangled and its escape time was delayed, it would inevitably be surrounded and captured by the Church of the Righteous God.
The demon hound hesitated for a second, then made as if to turn and leave, but suddenly turned back, spitting out a filthy demonic word from its foul mouth:
"die!"
One second, two seconds passed, and the giant wolf remained standing still, as if nothing had happened.
The demon dog's pupils contracted slightly, and it turned and ran without hesitation.
However, the next second, it noticed that the giant wolf behind it was slowly following.
That playful, boyish voice, like a nightmare, entered the demon hound's ears:
"How many tricks can a beast use to deceive? They only provide a source of amusement."
“Little guy, you’ve insulted yourself too.” A deep, magnetic voice rang in the giant wolf’s ear.
The giant wolf paused for a moment, but then acted as if nothing had happened and continued to follow the demon hound at a leisurely pace.
It did not attack the demon dog, but its verbal assault continued unabated:
"Little black dog, look, you're black, and I'm white. Didn't you awaken any bloodline skills after seeing me? Like picking cotton or something?"
The demon hound ignored it, because after that damned guy yelled for help, things here had gradually attracted attention, so if it paused even slightly, it could be in great danger.
Upon seeing this, Arthas's lips curled into a slight smile, and he began to boldly harass Arthas.
It used water balloons, fireballs, and grease spells, constantly disrupting the demon hound's progress.
Meanwhile, Arthas continued to trash talk:
"Hey Xiao Hei, is your all-black skin natural? I've heard that people with this color have great physical abilities and are very suitable for all kinds of farm work. I've also heard that people with this color are good at basketball."
"Do you know basketball? No? That's okay. Actually, I don't know either. But let me tell you, even though I don't know what basketball is, I can play basketball."
"Do you want to learn? I can teach you."
Arthas nimbly dodged the sulfur fireball suddenly launched by the demon hound, and continued firing without stopping.
"I know you're eager to learn basketball, but don't rush it, because this sport requires at least two and a half years of training, and it's not so easy to learn."
"First, you need to comb the hair on the top of your head into a middle part, then put on overalls. Oh, wait, it seems there aren't any overalls made for your body type, but it's okay, since you're black, you can draw two white stripes on your body to pretend it's overalls..."
Arthas was like an annoying fly, constantly buzzing around the demon hound.
It relied on the fact that it did not eat the curses and filth of the demon hounds, and that its agility made it immune to the sulfur flames.
The demon hound, unsure of its strength, dared not turn around and engage in close combat.
Therefore, Arthas was extremely good at insulting people, and he learned the sarcastic remarks he usually heard from Arthur very well.
The demon hound was increasingly agitated by Arthas, its rage and bloodlust growing stronger and stronger, gradually affecting its sanity.
This slowed it down slightly, and the thought of fighting that damned wolf behind it without regard for anything else gradually took over its mind. It no longer cared about the possible encirclement and capture by the Church of the Righteous God; it only wanted to vent its anger.
Arthas keenly sensed this; his gaze deepened, but he continued talking non-stop.
Finally, the demon hound could no longer suppress its malice, and it suddenly turned around and pounced on Arthas.
Arthas continued moving forward, but his figure gradually became illusory and then disappeared from the spot.
A second later, it reappeared not far behind the demon dog, looking at the big black dog with a mocking expression.
"Is all you can do is hide?" The demon hound's eyes glowed with a deep red light, and it opened its foul-smelling mouth, its body suddenly growing larger.
It spread its demonic wings and pounced on Arthas. Its heart was now filled with bloodlust, and it could no longer think rationally. All it wanted was to bite this troublesome wolf to death and then devour its flesh.
Upon seeing the demon hounds approaching, Arthas turned and ran without hesitation.
Its presence shifted between the real world and the spirit world, causing the demon hound's attacks to miss their mark, thus intensifying its impatience.
The demon hound chased Arthas around two corners, when it suddenly felt a heavy sense of crisis pressing down on its heart.
Its instinct was to run away, but its rage made it want to kill the giant wolf first.
With just a moment's hesitation, the demon hound was horrified to find an overwhelming sense of danger approaching from all around, as if it had fallen into a dead end and had no way out.
Step, step,
The footsteps, though not heavy, sounded deafening to the demon hound, like a tolling death knell.
In the demon hound's crimson eyes, a tall, handsome young man with chestnut hair and strangely wearing black-rimmed glasses slowly walked to the side of the silver-white giant wolf.
Arthas stepped back, pointed at the demon hound with his front paw, and said pitifully:
“Mr. Bonova, this guy has been bullying me. You have to help me take him down.”
“Okay, I’ll help you cut it.” Bonova nodded slightly and walked towards the demon dog, whose body was stiff with fear.
Then, the battle ended in a very short time.
The once vigorous demon dog had all its bones broken and lay sprawled on the ground like a lump of mud.
Arthas stepped forward, clicked his tongue twice, and said with a gloating expression:
"Hey, Xiao Hei, as the saying goes, 'He who listens to advice will eat his fill.' I told you to run away long ago, but you wouldn't. Now I can't save you."
Demon Dog: %¥#%@
"Alright, don't irritate it anymore. If you anger it to death, it will be a problem and delay the experiment."
Bonova reached out and patted Arthas's furry head, stopping its crazy provocation.
"Alright, Mr. Bonova, take care." Arthas reluctantly stopped talking and watched Bonova leave with the demon hound.
After Bonova left, a voice rang in Arthas's ears:
"Do you think that after tonight's commotion, starting tomorrow, various secret or not-so-secret extraordinary forces will begin investigating you?"
Arthas gradually shrank, turning into an adorable little white dog.
It said nonchalantly:
"The troublemaker is a giant silver wolf. What does it have to do with me, a harmless little dog?"
"Heh, you've really mastered all those shameless and insidious tricks of your master. It's no wonder this demon fell into your hands tonight," the voice said with a hint of admiration.
Arthas shook his head and said righteously:
“Mr. Nalzdo, this cannot be called insidious and shameless. In my master’s words, it should be called resourceful.”
And you're mistaken. This devil was clearly defeated by Mr. Bonova; I only made a tiny contribution.
"No, the capture of that demon dog tonight had nothing to do with me; it was entirely due to Mr. Bolois's wisdom and prowess."
"..."
After a long silence, the voice spoke again:
"I learned a new word today, which is 'resourceful'."
Arthas didn't respond to the sarcastic remark; instead, it burrowed into the spirit world and headed home.
At the same time, it spoke:
"By the way, Mr. Nalzdo, I must thank you for protecting me, otherwise I would not have been able to remain unaffected by that demon dog's filthy words."
