"Have some water and some snacks," Mirajane said, bringing over a plate.
There was a glass of plain water on the plate, along with several colorful and differently shaped pastries.
"You did this?" Yefried asked.
“Hmm, have a taste,” Mirajane said with a smile.
Does it have a chip?
"of course."
Yefrit picked one up, bit into it, and found it soft and chewy without sticking to her teeth, with a sweet and sour filling inside.
Delicious!
"Hmm~" Yefrit gave a thumbs up.
"Take your time eating, I'm going to cook," Mirajane said with a smile, then turned and left.
“Miko, you should try some too,” Yefrit said.
Miko gracefully picked it up, examined the soft, glutinous dumpling in her hand, and said, "Miss Mirajane is truly gentle, virtuous, and very capable."
"Yes."
“But I still prefer Tiffany,” Miko said.
"Why?" Yefrit looked at her.
Miko smiled mischievously and said, "I'm afraid she'll steal my job."
“You’re overthinking it,” Yefrit laughed.
Miko smiled faintly.
Yefried, I'm a girl too. I know about traps and stuff used to catch boys.
but.
Miko didn't say anything. She remained silent, picked up the dumpling, and put it in her mouth.
Too much sugar was added.
Yefried lay on the swing, gazing blankly at the clouds in the sky, until a fragrant aroma wafted into his nostrils, making his mouth water.
He got up and walked into the house, heading straight for the kitchen.
When I arrived at the dining room, I was taken aback.
Mirajane was busy in the kitchen, where the aroma of food filled the air.
The apron's rope was wrapped around her waist, accentuating her graceful figure.
It makes people unconsciously focus on her slender waist.
Then a misconception arises—like marrying a virtuous and beautiful wife—and a feeling of pride and joy wells up inside.
Yefried shook her head and then walked over.
Mirajane is cooking.
Compared to various cuisines that feature bread as the main food, kimchi as the main dish, or a preference for light and small portions, this is a different experience.
Yefritte preferred hearty dishes such as twice-cooked pork, braised pork belly, Mapo tofu, and braised pork knuckle.
What Mirajane is doing is stir-frying eggplant and minced meat together.
Sensing Yefrit's approach, Mirajane turned her head, tucked a strand of hair behind her ear with her little finger, and asked with a smile, "Are you hungry, Yefrit?"
“We’re hungry. It’s just the two of us, so we don’t need to cook too much. I’ve been working all morning, and I feel like I could eat two bowls of rice with just a plate of shredded pork with garlic sauce,” Yefrit said.
"After all, I asked you for help, how could I treat you unfairly?" Mirajane said with a smile. "There are still two dishes left, just bear with it a little longer."
"Ok."
"Or can you help?"
"doing what?"
"The next dish is stir-fried shredded potatoes with meat."
"it is good."
Yefrit, holding a potato and a peeler, squatted down next to the trash can and peeled it.
Mirajane turned to look at him, who was focused on his work. A slight smile played on her lips as she said, "Yeflit."
"Hmm?" Yefrit looked up.
“I have this feeling that I’ve dragged a prince down from his high and mighty position and turned him into a stay-at-home dad,” Mirajane said with a laugh.
Yefrit watched Mirajane's skillful cooking and laughed, "I also have the feeling of pulling down that ethereal fairy from heaven to be my cook."
“I’m not a fairy, I’m just an ordinary girl,” Mirajane laughed.
“I am not a prince either,” Yefrit said, “but I am a nobleman.”
“Oh~” Mirajane said in a sarcastic tone, “So, sir, where is your large—manor?”
"We'll make it back eventually!" Yefrit said, emphasizing her words.
"Please allow me to visit then."
"Sure, you can charge an entrance fee."
“I don’t have any money,” Mirajane pouted. “But I still want to see the big—manor. Can’t you make an exception?”
“Then let me give you a suggestion,” Yefrit laughed. “Why don’t you apply for a job as a cook or a maid, and you’ll be able to get in.”
“That’s a good idea. I’ll reserve a job for you then,” Mirajane said with a smile.
"Okay, 500 J per week, including food and lodging."
"You wicked nobleman!" Mirajane's eyes widened, her angry expression extremely cute.
"Haha."
Five dishes and one soup.
It was quite a feast for the two of them.
After a satisfying meal and soup.
Yefrit, however, felt sleepy.
During his vacation, he always takes a nap or something.
Seeing that he was drowsy and weak and unable to do anything, Mirajane shook his head helplessly and said, "The sun is quite strong right now. Why don't you rest for a while and take a nap or something?"
“Great!” Yefrit agreed with both hands raised.
"Is the sofa okay?"
"I want to sleep in a bed."
"Then sleep in my bed?"
"It's not impossible."
'boom'
Yefritte was met with the crisp, heavy sound of the door slamming shut.
‘Kacha’
Suddenly, the door opened a crack again, revealing a slender, pale arm holding a blanket, which was tossed out before the door slammed shut.
"."
Yefried picked up the blanket, turned around, and lay down on the sofa.
Cover it.
A fragrant aroma wafted over.
It smells wonderful, very comforting, and very hypnotic. ZZZZZ
Yefrit's eyelid twitched.
Then he groggily opened his eyes and looked at the ceiling in front of him, which he recognized but was not familiar with.
"Yeflit, wipe your face." Miko immediately handed over a warm, damp towel.
“Oh, this is Mirajane’s house,” Yefrit said.
Memories began to return.
He sat up, holding a towel and staring blankly.
Miko looked out the window and saw Mirajane loosening the soil with a hoe.
She wanted to dig away a layer of soil in the yard and replace it with soil she bought—the seller said that the soil would produce larger and sweeter fruit.
Miko didn't disturb Yefrit; she simply squatted quietly beside him, lost in thought with him.
About five or six minutes have passed.
Yefried was officially launched.
The towel in her hand had gone cold, but when Miko pointed to it, it became warm again.
Yefried wiped her face and then stretched.
"Ah—I slept so well."
"What time is it?" he asked.
"It's almost time for dinner, isn't it?" Miko said.
“??” Yefrit looked out the window.
I saw Mirajane working hard, bathed in the golden sunset.
He quickly got up and walked out somewhat awkwardly.
"Why didn't you call me?"
“You’re sleeping so soundly.” Mirajane sat up and smiled. “Is it because my sofa is so comfortable, or because my blanket is so warm?”
