Even Yevlit herself was surprised.

Laxus being dragged into doing this kind of small commission really gives off a feeling of being completely taken in by a tsundere.

Emily said smugly, "It didn't take any effort at all. I just went to the guild, found the quest, tore it off, and then found Uncle Laxus. He wasn't unwilling, although at first he was quite arrogant and said—"

Emily cast a spell and transformed into a child version of Laxus. This Laxus turned his head with a serious expression and said, "I would never do such a third-rate request. Only children would do that."

"Exactly the same!" Yefrit gave a thumbs up, she really got it right!

Emily immediately dispelled the spell and said smugly, "Then I went to do the commission myself, the task of chasing away stray dogs."

"Uncle Laxus did indeed come along."

"You're clearly threatening him," said Banjiu, rubbing his forehead.

“There’s nothing wrong with it, anyway, that guy’s got nothing better to do,” Yefrit said. “We should make the most of him during this time.”

“It’s not exploitation,” Emily said. “Uncle Laxus is a very good person, and I would never bully him.”

"Haha." Yefrit laughed out loud.

This is the fourth time someone has said they won't bully Laxus.

The first time was with Gildarts, who then beat Laxus black and blue during a sparring match.

The second time was Lisanna, who drew a turtle on the face of the sleeping Laxus after she finished speaking.

The third was Yefried, and of course, he had many "glorious deeds".

The fourth time was with Emily. After saying that, Emily dragged Laxus along and spent the last few days looking for cats and chasing dogs.

“Mr. Laxus, perhaps he’s not so difficult to approach,” Ikaruga couldn’t help but say.

She looked at Yefried, based on her guess.

The relationship between these two is similar to that between Natsu and Gray.

But for some reason, it seems, or rather, it's faint, that there's still a rift between the two of them.

perhaps

Emily can fix it.

Emily smiled sweetly at the dove, her innocent smile making one's heart ache with affection.

“Come here.” Yefrit gently patted Emily’s head.

"Master, you've made me stupid!" Emily pouted.

"Haha."

Upon entering the courtyard, Yefrit pulled out a card and said, "Emily, I'm going to give you a demon."

"Huh? It's Mi." Emily was startled and was about to say something, but then immediately shut her mouth.

“I can’t compare to a powerful demon,” Yefrit said. “I’ve only just begun my research and cannot create a fully-fledged and powerful demon.”

"But Master, why did you suddenly decide to sign me to a demon contract?" Emily said.

“We’re fragile after all,” Ikaruga said before Yefrit could finish. “Mr. Yefrit, Emily is not. She’s trained in the Mugetsu-ryu sword style, so her physical strength is not low.”

The turtledove is not a fragile creature.

Her blood volume is almost as high as Erza's.

Emily is very talented, even more so than her.

The future Emily possesses physical strength comparable to Erza, swordsmanship skills surpassing Ikaruga, and deception magic like Yefrit.

This is a powerful and terrifying mage.

“You always need insurance,” Yefrit laughed. “Some enemies won’t wait for you to grow up safely.”

"An enemy!" the dove exclaimed in surprise. "Has some danger appeared?"

“Prevention is better than cure,” Yefrit said, without going into too much detail.

He vaguely remembered that in the anime, an entire town was transported to another world.

And the seven years on Sirius Island

There's also the Gates of Hell, and even later, the brother-obsessed madness.

Crisis doesn't wait for people to grow.

Even Natsu's rate of strength improvement couldn't keep up with the speed at which the crisis was approaching.

And what about Emily?

He's used to having multiple backup plans.

"What kind of demon is it? Is it invisible?" Emily asked curiously.

Yefried throws the card.

It consists of a huge magic circle.

Then a colossal, obese, and strangely shaped demon, resembling a toad, slowly emerged from the magic circle, as if riding an elevator.

"Wow, so cute!" Emily's eyes lit up.

"Cute." The dove wanted to complain a bit. How could a two-meter-tall toad be called cute?

Chapter 120, Anima

"Thank you. I appreciate the compliment."

When the toad spoke, the turtledove couldn't hold back any longer, and surprisingly, it was a very sweet female voice.

"Wow--"

Emily excitedly rushed forward and hugged the giant toad. The giant toad gracefully reached out and hugged her back, saying, "Are you my master?"

“That’s right,” Emily replied, then took two steps back, but she was already covered in slime.

"I'm sorry, Master," the giant toad said remorsefully.

“No, it’s alright.” Emily shook her head, then asked with some curiosity, “Are you a newborn demon?”

“Yes, I am a demon that Mr. Yefrit just created,” the giant toad said.

The turtledove couldn't help but look at Yefrit.

To create a demon?

He seems quite mature and has a stable personality.

Mr. Yefried is too strong!

"Please accept my loyalty." The giant toad bowed slightly.

"How do we sign the contract?" Emily asked impatiently.

“Sign it.” Yevlit tossed out a contract.

He and Miko had a verbal agreement, as did Lucy's signing of the Protoss. However, even though this demon was the most successful one, it was still hard to say what might happen if it had flaws.

So he used her soul to create this contract, which would result in her immediate death if she betrayed Emily.

Emily was unaware of any of this; she signed her name on the contract.

The giant toad stuck out its tongue, curled it up, and swallowed it.

"Master, please name me," the giant toad said.

"Don't call me master, just call me by my name. As for your name," Emily thought for a moment, then said, "I'll call you Ramie."

“Thank you very much, Miss Emily,” Ramie said. “I currently know three types of magic.”

"The first spell, Reflect—it deflects all attacks, but it will consume my life force. I can only use this spell three times."

“Then you can’t use this magic!” Emily said quickly.

“I’m sorry, Miss Emily, this is the meaning I was created for,” Ramie said.

“Master—” Emily pouted and looked at Yefrit.

“This is Mr. Yefried’s affection for you, Emily. Don’t be unreasonable,” Turtledove quickly scolded.

"Hmm," Emily nodded somewhat unhappily.

"The second spell is earth magic," Ramie said, then demonstrated it.

Suddenly, ripples like water appeared on the ground beneath her feet, and then she sank down, only to immediately leap out from another spot.

"Wow, that's amazing!" Emily exclaimed.

"The third spell, Magic Sharing, can help Miss Emily become immune to some of the effects of negative magic."

“I know, it’s like the sleep magic that Brother Mystergan uses!” Emily immediately understood.

"Not bad, right?" Yefrit laughed.

"Master is amazing!" Emily was very satisfied.

Yevlit was also much relieved.

This demon did not actually achieve the effect he wanted, like Hololochim, to instantly appear, save people, and take them to safety.

But he also took a shortcut.

Since there's no Celestial Realm, let's create an earth magic spell so it can follow Emily underground at all times.

He would step in to protect Emily whenever needed.

Unfortunately, the protective magic can only be used three times, mainly because it consumes a lot of magic power, and this demon herself does not possess such powerful magic power. She is not a powerful demon, so Yefrit changed the condition to life.

Although it was somewhat cruel to Ramie, Yefrit didn't want to regret it later when something happened to Emily because of insufficient defense.

Emily quickly put the matter out of her mind; after all, she was still a child, there was no immediate danger, and there was no need to worry constantly.
