The antimatter legion launched a full-scale invasion of approximately two systems of the Black Tower space station.

The purple-haired beauty strolled leisurely to a flickering screen in the Black Tower space station.

Silver Wolf's voice came through the communication device: "System time 23:47:15, you're right on time, Kafka."

The purple-haired beauty said softly, "The future that Elio saw is not wrong. Next, we will face that star god directly when we put that thing in."

"And then what?" Silver Wolf asked himself, answering, "Is the universe getting a major expansion? That's interesting."

"It can only be somewhat interesting, because that earth-shattering battle is just the beginning, and the rest is beyond our control."

Kafka kept in communication with Silver Wolf as she walked down another corridor.

Along the way, Kafka collected some antimatter legions and arrived at the reception center of the Black Tower Space Station.

The space station crew had already begun emergency evacuation, leaving the place deserted except for a girl with a spiral ponytail sitting at the reception desk.

Silver Wolf held the strangely shaped pistol in his hand and fiddled with it from side to side.

Kafka walked over: "What are you holding? You seem to be enjoying it so much. Can I see it?"

Silver Wolf showed her what he was holding: "A rare item in the Black Tower's collection that can score the creatures that appear in its crosshair, ranging from 0 to 100."

Is this interesting?

"Even after the Black Tower obtained this thing, they never used it on the Star God, right?"

Silver Wolf jumped off the reception desk and temporarily put away the scoring gun in his hand: "I'm going to try it on Bai Yan in a bit."

Kafka didn't seem to mind: "Whatever you want. Anything not written in the script is irrelevant; just improvise. Where's the target location?"

"Continue along the corridor behind the door on the left, and you'll find a room containing some kind of 'strange object'."

"The star core is right there?" Kafka confirmed.

"That would tell us where the star's core is."

"Ok."

The two left the reception center and continued along the route they had just determined, eventually reaching the monitoring room at the end of the corridor.

Silver Wolf hacked into all the surveillance systems here and finally found the only unaffected terminal.

Silver Wolf then went over and performed some actions.

Kafka casually asked, "What is this?"

"Object No. 211 [Blind Spot]. A simple deflecting light field makes things in the area less noticeable, but it will be exposed as soon as other things become inconspicuous."

"Did the Black Tower use such a simple gadget to hide her treasure?"

"The simpler the method, the harder it is to detect. Isn't that our motto?"

Silver Wolf finished what he was doing and said, "Alright. Let's go."

A curtain of light appeared on the wall, and there seemed to be another space on the other side.

With Kafka leading the way, the two touched the light screen one after the other and arrived at their destination, a room even smaller than the monitoring room.

Golden energy spheres floated in the containment device in the center of the room.

That was a star core, an ominous object capable of creating rifts and causing cancer in all realms.

The Black Tower sealed it here in a special way, thus preventing the star's core from spreading disaster.

Kafka examined the star core and said to Silver Wolf, "Let's release the star's vessel first. We need to meet your old friend."

Silver Wolf obediently swiped around on the screen that appeared out of thin air, and a gray-haired girl appeared in the room.

A young man with black hair also appeared at the same time.

A soft and clear male voice rang out: "Good evening, you two, I'm here to check your homework."

Kafka looked at the man before her, whose eyes were as deep as the starry sky and who possessed an inexplicable affability, and smiled slightly: "People often say that [Pioneers] are the star gods closest to humans, but the one before us is probably even more so."

"Why is it the closest to a human? Aren't I a human?" Bai Yan spread his hands. "Why are you cursing me the moment we meet?"

Just as Bai Yan was displaying his strange sense of humor once again, Silver Wolf had already pulled out the scoring gun.

The eye on the scoring gun suddenly opened, looked at Bai Yan, and after its eyeballs darted around countless times, it helplessly announced: "Unable to determine!"

The fixed-point gun with its eyes closed stopped making any noise, and no matter how Silver Wolf tried to manipulate it, it wouldn't move, as if it were dead.

Kafka turned to comfort the disappointed Silver Wolf: "It was the result I expected."

Bai Yan stopped wasting words with the two of them and stepped forward to the girl who was more interesting to him.

Although the vessel was properly dressed, it made no difference to him; all its structures were completely visible.

“Very ingenious design.”

Bai Yan first praised it, then changed the subject: "Of course, this is only for non-professionals like you. It is qualified as a container for a star core, but not excellent enough."

He extended his index finger and tapped it on the forehead of the girl's vessel, beginning to correct her work: "With just a few modifications, we can increase her utilization rate of the star core's power. Adding a little something else... will amplify this power."

Sensing the change in the vessel, Bai Yan explained to the students, "This is a power that can control the rift between worlds. Perhaps in the near future, she, who has mastered this power, will be able to become the master of all the cancers of the myriad worlds."

Kafka showed no fear in the face of this Star Goddess, maintaining her smile: "You're quite bold. Although it's inappropriate for us Star Core Hunters to say such things, aren't you afraid she'll become a scourge to the universe in the future?"

Bai Yan withdrew his hand, finished grading, and then smiled at Kafka:

"Then everyone in the universe should be glad that the future Lord of the Rift will be educated and guided by Himeko and the others. Of course, I will also help."

Chapter 17 I don't believe in the Star Core Hunter, I believe in you.

While Bai Yan was altering the structure of the star's carrier, Silver Wolf had already hacked into the star's core's control system and unlocked it.

The next step is to insert the star core.

Kafka asked Bai Yan with a joking tone, "Can we begin now, teacher?"

"Okay."

Bai Yan responded by taking half a step back to make room for Kafka, while also jokingly telling her with a smile, "Be careful not to flatten our daughter's chest."

Kafka did not reply immediately, but instead took the star core out of the containment device and stepped in front of the star's carrier.

Before inserting the star core, she turned to Bai Yan and smiled gently: "I'll be careful."

As soon as she finished speaking, Kafka focused on her actions, supporting the star's vessel with one hand and pressing the star core into the star's chest with the other.

The golden light that had been emanating from the room slowly disappeared.

The star core penetrated through the clothing and the outer shell of the vessel and entered the girl's body.

"Time to wake up."

A soft female voice sounded in the girl's ear, and her consciousness gradually cleared.

The girl seemed to have had a very long dream, but upon waking, she had almost completely forgotten it.

Xing opened her blurry eyes and saw a familiar yet unfamiliar face.

Its bright golden eyes slowly turned, taking in everything before it in a half-dreaming, half-awake state.

A purple-haired beauty, a petite silver-gray girl with a single ponytail, and... a young man with black hair and black eyes.

"Where...is this?" she blurted out without realizing it.

"Here? A space station, it's not important."

Kafka answered Xing's question simply, then continued, "Listen to me: your mind is a complete mess right now. You don't know who you are, why you're here, or what you're supposed to do next; you feel like you know me, but you're unsure whether you should trust me—"

"—But none of that matters. What matters is that I'm leaving, leaving you all alone on this space station. So from now on, you don't need to think about the past anymore, and you don't need to doubt yourself anymore."

While Kafka and Xing were talking, Silver Wolf pulled Bai Yan aside and whispered something to him.

Kafka ignored the two of them and continued her [admonition] to Xing: "Listen to me: you will encounter many dangers and be in terrible predicaments; but you will also encounter many wonderful things."

"You will have companions like family and embark on adventures you could never have dreamed of... and at the end of the journey, all the mysteries that have troubled you will be solved."

"This is the future that Eriol foresaw, and the future you will reach... Do you like it?"

Kafka looked at the somewhat bewildered star and waited for her reply.

"Do not."

The one who uttered the word "no" was not Xing, but Bai Yan, who was whispering to Silver Wolf on the side.

Kafka and Xing both glanced at them.

Bai Yan waved to the two of them without any embarrassment, indicating that they could talk about their own things while she continued.

He lowered his voice even further and said to Silver Wolf, "I allow limited spending, but that kid has been spending too much lately, so we should keep an eye on him."

Before Silver Wolf could reply, he directly exposed him: "I recently told Silver Moon to be more restrained, and she agreed. So you're actually trying to extort money from me, right?"

Silver Wolf looked furious, but his eyes darted around: "How could that be? What do you take me for?"

"Your lying skills are not even as good as a single hair on Kafka's head."

Just when Silver Wolf thought his extortion attempt had failed, Bai Yan took out his phone, unlocked the screen, and tapped a few times.

"Om-"

Silver Wolf's phone vibrated.

Too lazy to take out her phone, she simply used the screen on the air conditioner to check her messages.

[Account Transfer: 200 Million Credits]

Silver Wolf stared blankly at the transfer record.

"Take it and spend it. Just don't let the child squander it. Thank you for taking care of Silvermoon."

Credits are one of the means of establishing a relationship with life, so Bai Yan collected some when he observed life in the past.

For a star god who has traversed the world for countless years, this is nothing more than a pittance.

In fact, if he simply asked, the civilizations he created would rush to offer him countless riches, but he did not want to take the fruits of their labor without reason.

But if those children knew that their father was making money and spending it in the universe, they would definitely slap themselves in the face.

Bai Yan reached out and pinched Silver Wolf's cheeks, laughing, "Next time, just say what you want. There's no need to lie. That will set a bad example for Silver Moon. As her mother, shouldn't you set a good example for her?"
