Nguyen Mai remained calm and spoke softly, "I can testify to that; you don't need to worry about our safety."
Seeing that Dan Heng and Ruan Mei both said so, March 7th felt a little disappointed: "Then be careful, we'll meet up at that hotel tonight."
Have fun, see you tonight.
With this farewell, Bai Yan, having learned his identity as an extraterrestrial visitor, temporarily parted ways with Ruan Mei and San Yueqi.
Bai Yan walked up to a wall and casually tore down the leaflets spreading his rumors: "Let's go. Let's go see that Masked Fool first."

Lower Beloberg area.
The girl with long purple hair said sternly, "Sangbo, what are you up to now? These stupid flyers are plastered everywhere! Even near my house, don't you want to lose your job?"
The blue-haired youth smiled broadly: "Miss Seele, please don't be angry. I'll tear it right away, right away."
"Don't try to fool me. When is 'soon'? You'll run away as soon as I leave. Tear it up now."
While supervising Sambo to clean up the mess, Seele picked up one of the flyers and asked, "Who are these people? Bai Yan? The people on the ground?"
"I don't know. A client told me that if I shipped this, I could make money."
Where is your client?
Sambo turned around with a grin: "He disappeared after I paid the deposit, he really screwed me over. Why don't you wait until I finish sending it out and then go get the balance from him?"
Seele crumpled the flyer in her hand into a ball and threw it at Sambo's head: "I think you're asking for a beating."
Before Sangbo could retort, a clear male voice came from not far away:
"That's right, he's just asking for trouble."
Before I saw the person, I heard his voice first.
As Seele and Sambo turned their gazes, a young man with black hair and black eyes led a woman with black hair and blue eyes out from around the corner.
The young man had handsome features, deep black eyes beneath his brows, and a gentle smile at the corners of his mouth, coupled with an inexplicable affability that made people feel as if they were bathed in a spring breeze.
The woman's black hair was gathered to the side, with strands hanging down behind her hairpin. She had an elegant demeanor, and her deep green eyes swept over Seele and Sambo. Her calm and delicate face revealed no superfluous emotions.
Seele spoke first: "Who are you? I've never seen you before in the lower districts."
Bai Yan's smile remained unchanged: "A victim of rumors who happened to be passing by, and the perpetrator who is about to kick someone's butt."
Most of the Masked Fools are quite clever, and Sambo is no exception.
He immediately realized something was wrong and prepared to make a run for it.
The next instant, Bai Yan appeared behind him.
Seele was taken aback: "Such speed."
"boom!"
Bai Yan kicked Sang Bo hard in the butt, sending him sprawling face-first into the mud.
Sangbo quickly rolled over to face Bai Yan, half-sitting on the ground: "Brother, let's talk this out. Who starts hitting people right away? The person next to you is a member of Earthfire. You're breaking the law in front of him, and you can't just hit someone for no reason."
After saying that, Sambo turned to Seele with a grin and said, "Miss Seele, you see I usually behave well towards the Earthfire. You can't just watch me get bullied for no reason, can you?"
"If it were someone else's dispute, that would be fine, but yours?"
Xi'er rolled her eyes at him and strode away, leaving Bai Yan and Ruan Mei with a dashing and handsome back view: "Revenge if you have a grudge, settle your score if you have a grudge, but remember not to kill anyone, or it will be difficult to clean up. I have other things to do, I'll ask you about your identities when I come back."
Sambo tried to persuade them to stay: "No, please! Even though we're not members of Earthfire, we've risked our lives for them. Please help us!"
Seele ignored him, her figure gradually disappearing into the distance.
"boom!"
Unbeknownst to Sangbo, Bai Yan had already appeared behind him.
Because he was half-sitting, the kick couldn't reach his buttocks, so the kick landed on his tailbone.
Sambo was kicked another meter or two away, and began to wail and beg for mercy.
"Ouch~ I apologize, I apologize, okay? Can you say something? Stop hitting me, okay?"
Bai Yan's smile remained unchanged: "Then let's talk. What else do you think exists in life besides laughter that can tear apart the cold silence of the universe?"
"Ok?"
"There are also involuntary wails caused by pain receptors."
"boom!"
Chapter 49 [Hope] Appeasement, but [Life] Harshness
A moment later, as Sangbo left, clutching his buttocks, Xier's figure reappeared in front of Bai Yan and Ruan Mei.
"Is the matter settled?"
Seele cut to the chase: "The passage between the upper and lower levels isn't fully open yet. Yesterday, that bastard High Warden only sent some Silvermane Iron Guards to provide support. You guys don't look like Silvermane Iron Guards either, so where did you come from?"
Bai Yan did not directly answer the question about his origins: "That kid Sangbo has connections between the upper and lower levels."
Seele's words were barbed: "Don't you people on the surface have it easy staying up there? Come down here and see how awful our lives are, so you can regain your confidence?"
One sentence was enough to reveal the current attitudes of the lower districts towards the current Great Guardian Cocolia and the people of the upper districts.
Bai Yan had been busy with other matters for a long time and hadn't thought of those ancient memories from before he transmigrated, until recently when he hastily dug them up again.
For many years, the upper and lower districts of Beloborg have only been connected by a passageway for exchanging soil and supplies, with no personnel exchanges.
It seems that Cocolia, no longer easily swayed, has begun to take remedial measures.
But is it really so easy to make up for the mistakes she made back then?
Having witnessed the rise and fall of many civilizations, Bai Yan already had the answer in his heart.
Bai Yan didn't respond to Xi'er's sarcasm, but instead smiled and said, "By the way, have you ever seen spring?"
If Seele understood his extraterrestrial identity, this statement might sound more like a rebuttal.
But Seele only saw him as an upper-class person whom Sambo had brought down because he had nothing better to do.
Seele frowned slightly: "Spring? What's that? Oh, I think I've heard of it. I've never seen it, but you, a mortal, have?"
"We've never seen anyone on Earth, but you might be able to in a few days."
Seele immediately retorted, "What nonsense are you talking about? Even if I'm not well-educated, I know that Belloberg hasn't seen that kind of thing for over seven hundred years."
"It's alright, you will see him, if the Great Guardian is willing to make the choice."
"Who exactly are you? Are you trying to plead for that bastard Cocolia?"
"No, I'm here to give that bastard another way. It was nice chatting with you, see you next time."
After a simple farewell to Xi'er, Bai Yan turned and left with Ruan Mei.
Seele didn't keep them either, since she already knew their identities and there was no problem.
She had other things to deal with than these people on the ground.

After walking a distance, Ruan Mei, who had been silent until now, spoke up: "What earth-shattering thing will our [Life] Star God do this time?"
"It's just giving you a challenge, giving someone who's guilty another option."
Bai Yan spoke in a calm tone, as if recounting his past experiences, or perhaps describing Belloberg's current situation:
“Transitions in civilization are often accompanied by growing pains. A controversial leader is like salt in the wound, hindering healing and prolonging the pain.”
Nguyen Mai was already used to Bai Yan's metaphor: "Do you want to peel off this piece of salt?"
Bai Yan smiled but did not answer, changing the subject: "Do you know any myths about this land?"
"This is the last human city on this planet protected by [Preservation]. Is the myth you speak of related to [Preservation], or to the [Hope] that has just arrived?"
Bai Yan shook his head: "None of those. At the end of winter, a god named Yalilo will return to the ground from the land of death and bring spring to the earth. I'm talking about this local myth of Yalilo VI."
Nguyen May's calm expression softened slightly: "You're going to create another Star God? We don't have any extra chocolate this time."
"Who said I was going to create another star god? And who said I was going to create one?"
Bai Yan stopped in his tracks; they were now in a deserted alleyway corner in the lower district.
"Gods are merely more powerful life forms in the eyes of mortals. What we need is a life form called Yalilo that can bring spring to this planet. Not me to create it, but you."
As Bai Yan spoke, an ancient door appeared before him and opened on its own.
Behind the door lies the place where life begins to evolve in Bai Yan's eyes, and also the laboratory that is fixed in Ruan Mei's consciousness.
"Here are some materials I've stored. I look forward to your finished product. Of course, I will also be grading your work."
Nguyen Mai stepped to the door, turned back to look at him, and said softly, "What about the reward?"
Bai Yan silently reached out and unbuttoned the first button of his shirt.
When Nguyen Mai's gaze was drawn to the movements in his hands, he smiled and said, "Depending on the degree of completion, I will satisfy you."
Ruan Mei looked up and met Bai Yan's gaze, revealing a rare smile: "I'm looking forward to it."
"I'm also really looking forward to the birth of our first child."
No one outside heard this ambiguous statement. Nguyen Mai stepped into the place where her life began, and the ancient door quietly closed.
Bai Yan's figure flickered and disappeared from the spot.

Belloberg District, Cripperburg.
Cocolia, no longer bewitched by the Star Core, frowned deeply. During her time under its influence, she had done far too many foolish things.
She knew all too well that the decision at the time had brought indescribable suffering to many people at the lower levels.
They lost their homes, their loved ones, and their peaceful lives. Even those who survived endured suffering far greater than anyone else.
She didn't ask for people's forgiveness; she only wanted to do her best to make amends for her mistakes and give the survivors a peaceful and beautiful future.
A clear male voice suddenly came from behind him: "Do you know?"
