Chapter 85 The Fly Gets Swatted
Upon hearing this, Ahua glared at Fly with annoyance.
"Mr. Jiang!" Ahua smiled. He took out a cigarette, lit it, and took a deep drag. "Thank you for your kindness, but I'll pass."
Ahua declined Jiang Lai's invitation, a deep worry flickering in his eyes.
"Why?" Jiang Lai asked, somewhat puzzled.
Although tens of thousands of yuan is not a lot for Jiang Lai.
But for Fly and Ahua, it shouldn't be considered a small sum.
“We’re gangsters, we don’t want to drag you down with us.” Ah Wah’s answer was simple, but full of determination.
After Ahua finished speaking, he nodded to Jiang Lai, got up, and left directly.
So unique?
Jiang Lai couldn't help but mutter something under his breath, but before he could say it, the person left.
"Hey! Wait for me!" Fly was still in a daze, but when he saw Ahua get up, he realized what was happening and quickly followed after him.
As Fly walked to the door, he suddenly turned around and said, "Um... excuse me, Mr. Jiang, could you please pay the bill?"
After saying that, he flew away from the coffee shop like a fly.
Jiang Lai was not angry at Ahua's departure; on the contrary, he appreciated it even more.
In Jiang's view, Ahua and Wuying were two completely opposite extremes.
Ahua is a very loyal person, quick-witted, good at assessing situations, decisive in his actions, and principled in his conduct.
As one of Ahua's brothers, Fly is incompetent but likes to cause trouble everywhere. He has no skills but likes to show off. He tries desperately to prove his worth but always runs into obstacles.
If it weren't for Ahua, Fly would probably have been killed long ago.
But there's one thing about Fly: despite his various suicidal acts, he's genuinely fearless.
Otherwise, there wouldn't be that classic meme.
In fact, there are hundreds of thousands of mediocre people in Hong Kong, and Fly is just like most of them, desperately trying to make a name for himself and stand out from the crowd.
One was tired of fighting and killing, while the other desperately wanted to make a name for himself; they were truly an odd couple.
Ahua and Fly left the coffee shop and returned to the bustling street.
The fly quickly caught up with Ahua.
"Brother Hua, why didn't you agree to Mr. Jiang's offer? That's tens of thousands!" Fly walked beside Ahua, looking somewhat dejected, his tone carrying a hint of complaint.
Even the fly couldn't understand why Ahua would suddenly leave.
"I didn't stop you, go back by yourself!" Ahua turned his head away, rolled his eyes, and said indifferently.
“I…” Fly wanted to continue arguing, but looking at Ahua, he swallowed back what he was about to say.
"Fly!"
"Ok?"
“Mr. Jiang is a respectable person, unlike us.”
"But....."
"You know, people like us have no future, understand?"
Fly understood what Ahua meant, but still muttered resentfully, "That's tens of thousands of dollars, enough to sell so many fish balls!"
Ahua smiled slightly after hearing this.
“The easier it is for you to get that money now, the more miserable you will be when you have to get it back!” Turning around, Ahua put his hand on Fly’s shoulder and said earnestly.
"Oh!" Fly didn't understand and was still a little down, but he didn't argue with Ahua anymore.
"Alright, stop thinking about it. Go check if your fish ball cart is still there!" Ahua leaned against the roadside railing and gestured towards the flies.
The fly nodded listlessly, then walked towards its fish ball cart.
Fly was lucky; no police came to impound his car today, and his fish ball truck is still sitting there unharmed.
Walking up to the fish ball cart, Fly planned to push it away.
But unexpectedly, Tony and a group of his underlings suddenly appeared from around the corner.
Seeing the long line of short mules behind Tony and Tony's menacing appearance, Fly's heart skipped a beat, and he immediately wanted to run away.
But Tony's henchmen reacted faster, and a few of them went up and stopped the fly, making the atmosphere tense.
"Hey, what are you doing? I'm warning you, don't mess around!" Fly said stubbornly, though he was scared.
"Hold him down!" Tony waved his hand at Fly's henchmen.
The men immediately pinned the fly down, and he tried to struggle, but to no avail.
Tony walked up to the fly and glared at it: "What are you doing?"
Bang!
Tony kicked the fish ball cart next to Fly hard, causing soup to spill all over the ground and fish balls to roll everywhere.
Fly watched as his fishball cart was overturned, his anger burning even more fiercely. He struggled to get up, but was held down firmly by several burly thugs. His eyes instantly turned red: "Tony, I'll fuck your mother!"
Tony approached Fly, a cruel glint in his eyes, and kicked Fly hard in the stomach again: "You seemed quite pleased when that kid attacked you just now?"
Cough!! Cough!!
The fly was kicked in the stomach, and a sharp pain shot through it. It also had great difficulty breathing and couldn't help but cough twice.
"Tell me, where is he?" Tony crouched down, grabbed Fly's hair, and lifted Fly's head up sharply, asking in a chilling tone.
"Pah!" The fly didn't say anything, but spat directly onto Tony's face.
Enraged by the fly's movements, Tony wiped his face, looked at the saliva on his hands, then wiped it on his clothes with a hint of disgust. He stood up and waved his hand at his underlings: "Beat him up!"
As Tony finished speaking.
Suddenly, one of Fly's henchmen punched him in the face. Caught off guard, Fly's mouth bled. Immediately afterward, another man kicked him hard in the lower abdomen.
The fly curled up on the ground in pain, but Tony's henchman did not stop. Dull punches and kicks continued to fall on the fly, and he could only desperately protect his head.
Ahua, who was on the other side of the road, also noticed something was wrong and quickly rushed towards the fly.
"Stop!" Ahua arrived, his eyes bloodshot as he looked at the fly curled up on the ground and roared.
Ignoring the punches and kicks from the crowd, Ahua forcefully pushed away the people around Fly.
When Tony saw Ah Wah appear, he raised his hand to his underlings, signaling them not to make a move yet.
"Fly?" Ahua called out with concern, holding Fly's head in his arms.
"Cough!... I'm fine, Brother Hua!" Fly was already a little delirious, but he still forced a smile.
Upon seeing the fly, whose face was bruised and swollen, Ahua's eyes turned bloodshot, his facial muscles tensed, he gritted his teeth, clenched his fists, and trembled all over.
Ahua turned his head and stared at Tony, his eyes filled with ferocity and bloodlust, like an angry beast.
Tony felt a chill run down his spine under Ahua's gaze, but he still spoke up: "Well, I wasn't planning on doing anything to him, but he didn't know what was good for him, so you can't blame me!"
Ahua didn't speak, but gave him a cold stare before turning to Fly and helping him up: "Get up, let's go!"
Ahua helped the trembling fly to his feet, hoisted one of his arms onto his shoulder, and prepared to leave!
Chapter 86: You Eat Shit
Just as he was about to leave, he was blocked by several of Tony's henchmen.
Ahua turned to look at Tony, his eyes asking him what he meant.
“We’re all from the same gang, so don’t say I’m making things difficult for you. Tell me where that kid ran off to, and I’ll let you go!” After being beaten up, Tony’s anger subsided a bit, but he still pressed for Jiang’s whereabouts.
After hearing Tony's words, Ahua did not answer immediately, but instead thought about how to get out of the situation.
Ahua remained silent for a long time, and the atmosphere became tense.
at this time!
A voice sounded.
"I heard you were looking for me?"
The sound wasn't loud, but it broke the heavy atmosphere.
Jiang Lai's figure slowly appeared on the street, accompanied by his voice.
At the same time, Jiang Lai was surrounded by a dense array of bodyguards in suits.
Their figures surged in like a black tide, their expressions cold and resolute, each radiating a strong sense of oppression.
As Jiang Lai moved forward, the noise of the streets gradually disappeared, leaving only the sound of leather shoes treading on the ground. The clattering sound was like a heavy hammer, striking the heart.
An invisible pressure permeated the street. Wherever Jiang Lai went, pedestrians avoided him, not daring to meet his gaze.
Ahua and Fly stared wide-eyed, their faces filled with disbelief.
Compared to the big shots they had met before, Jiang Lai now resembled a real underworld boss.
Tony looked at Jiang Lai and the bodyguards behind him, and swallowed hard in fear.
Jiang Lai's gaze was like a cold blade, making him feel oppressed and fearful, and he couldn't help but shiver.
Sensing that things were going badly, Tony's face darkened, and he whispered to his henchman beside him, "Retreat, retreat quickly!"
However, his underlings seemed not to hear him, or perhaps they were intimidated by the imposing presence of Jiang Lai and the others, and did not act immediately.
Seeing that his underling didn't react, he didn't care about saving face anymore and immediately shouted, "What are you standing there for? Run!"
After yelling, Tony turned around and prepared to run away again.
But as soon as he turned around, another group of people appeared behind them.
Unlike the bodyguards in suits, the people who appeared this time were either wearing T-shirts or shirtless, and most of them had tattoos all over their bodies and arms. They were carrying various weapons, including sticks, blades, and steel pipes.
A large, dark group of people, expressionless, blocked Tony and his companions' escape route.
With wolves in front and tigers behind, Tony stood rooted to the spot, his heart sinking to the bottom, his face turning pale.
