Poseidon in Arknights

Speaking of my vacation, it seems like I still have a month and a half left? Anyway, I've already found someone and I'm not leaving. As for where to stay, I wonder if staying in a hotel would be inconvenient?
After all, I still want to build a good relationship with Xiyue. Lungmen seems to be quite lively lately, there should be a lot of fun places, right? Should I ask the Emperor for his opinion later?
Oh right, and Eve too. We can bring her out to play as well. With Yuuki around, the Flame Demon probably won't dare to do anything, right?
Oh dear, I wonder if Himeru and Saria have made up at all? I didn't see Saria when I went to Rhodes Island today.
I wonder if the White-faced Owl still likes to keep her diary? And has her condition improved at all?
Feeling the atmosphere he liked around him, Muels gradually opened up his mind, something he couldn't do before.
Even in the botanical garden that Rhine Lab had painstakingly created, Muirsey had never felt so relaxed, and that feeling of loneliness always lingered in her heart.
Now, there's no need for that feeling anymore; I'm no longer alone.
"Hey, Muelseth, how did you meet Yuuki?" The outgoing Exusiai looked at Muelseth. "How come Yuuki has never mentioned you?"
“It was just a chance encounter,” Muirsey smiled. “At the time, I was taking care of my little plants in my botanical garden.”
"Your own botanical garden?" Exusiai raised an eyebrow, looking at Muirses. "You mean you have your own botanical garden? What does it grow? For ornamental purposes? Or for food?"
Muirse smiled at Exusiai: "Those children are indeed very ornamental, and some of them are indeed edible, but none of them can do this. They are all endangered plants that I rescued."
"An endangered plant?" Kong seemed intrigued at this moment. "Do you have any photos? We can take a look."
"Of course!" Muirsey smiled and took out her phone, opening her album where she kept photos of herself with plants. "I really cherish the time I spend with them."
Upon hearing that there were photos, the group became curious and gathered around Muirsay, marveling at the pictures on her phone.
Some of the photos show plants that are tall and imposing, with straight trunks that exude an ancient and vigorous aura. Other photos show plants that are small but covered with bright and beautiful flowers.
"How beautiful." Kong's eyes seemed to sparkle as she looked at the plants in the photo, but then she suddenly remembered what Muels had just said about these being endangered plants, and her tone revealed a hint of regret, "Are they all endangered? That's a bit of a shame."
Muirsey nodded: "Yes, although they are beautiful, they cannot adapt to the current environment. They can only survive tenaciously in a very small part of the environment where the environment has not changed so quickly."
"No one knows whether the place they are in now will change later, to the point that they will not be able to survive."
"So you built the botanical garden?" Ghost Shark looked at the photos. "Hoping to give them an environment that won't change?"
“Yes.” Muirsay nodded. “Not only that, I also want them to gradually adapt to the outside environment so that their colony can thrive and multiply on this land again.”
"However, adapting to the environment is easier said than done. To this day, not a single plant has successfully migrated out of my botanical garden and regrown on this land."
“It will succeed,” Yuzuki’s voice suddenly rang out. “As long as you maintain this passion, they will definitely respond to your expectations.”
Muels turned around, and there stood Xiyue behind them, smiling at Muels.
“Life will find its own way.” Xi Yue looked at Muerses and smiled as she spoke. “The drastic changes in the environment have left them unable to adapt, but that doesn’t mean they have no way out.”
"Take it slow, not everything can be done quickly."
“So I never gave up.” Muirsey smiled as she looked at the smile on Xiyue’s lips. “They must be working hard too.”
"Alright, are you hungry?" Xi Yue pointed to the second pot of dumplings that had been cooked and served on the table. "Let's eat."
----------
"This black tea is delicious!" Muirsey exclaimed in surprise, looking at the black tea in her hand. She had never tasted such delicious black tea before.
After that one sip, all the black tea I'd ever drunk before seemed rather bland.
Xi Yue leaned back on the sofa, holding a cup of black tea. She touched the red cup resting on her thigh and smiled at Muersais, who looked delighted. "If it's good, you can drink more."
“Miss Red seems to be very attached to you.” Muirsay looked at Red, who was leaning against Yuuki’s lap.
"Red's always like this~" Exusiai sprawled on the sofa in a languid pose, flipping through TV channels with the remote. "She's always glued to Yuuki whenever she has a spare moment~"
Muirse raised an eyebrow as he listened to Exusiai's slightly sarcastic tone. It sounded like the tone wasn't just a simple joke.
Thinking of this, Muirse looked at the others around her, except for Specter, who she had noticed was wrong from the beginning, and Croissant, who was determined to snatch the remote control from Exusiai.
Miss Texas, who seems to be just sitting next to Yuuki watching TV, doesn't seem to be behaving herself; her tail is always subtly sticking to Miss Yuuki.
And Kong's gaze, which was scrolling through his phone, seemed to be lingering on Miss Yuzuki and Miss Texas, rather than on his phone.
'It seems Miss Yuuki's surroundings are more lively than I imagined~' Muels's lips curled slightly. 'And it seems Miss Yuuki is completely unaware of this?'
Hmm, so maybe I can get involved too? With that thought, Muirsey gently put down her black tea, took out her phone, and searched for any fun recent events in Lungmen.
The door slammed against the wall as if someone had suddenly pushed it open, and the Emperor's signature voice rang out: "I'm back, my employees."
The Emperor walked into the room and looked at the dumplings on the table. He pushed up his sunglasses and said, "You guys are eating dumplings without inviting me. Do you even consider me the boss anymore?"
"Hey, the boss's back?" Exusiai turned around and looked at the Emperor. "Well, the boss usually doesn't come back, or he comes back very late, so we'll definitely eat first~"
"Or has the boss eaten yet?"
"Exusiai, is that how you talk to your boss?" Emperor looked at Exusiai. "Besides, it's this late, he must have already eaten."
"That settles it then~"
"Hey, Exusiai, I think your wings have hardened up." The Emperor pulled out his Peace Gun from somewhere and fired a shot that landed precisely on Exusiai's head.
"Ouch." Exusiai sat up in pain, looked decisively at the Emperor, and began to quickly apologize with great skill, "Boss, I was wrong, boss, I will never dare to do it again, please forgive me this time."
"I'm afraid he'll do it again next time." The Emperor rolled his eyes at Exusiai. Did he not know what kind of person his employee was?
Then, the Emperor's eyes caught sight of Muelseth, who was smiling to the side: "Oh, isn't this Muelseth? What brings you to your botanical garden?"
"Good evening, Your Majesty." Muels greeted the Emperor and then pointed to Xiyue beside him. "I do have some free time, so I came to see someone."
The Emperor then looked at Muelseth, and only then did he notice the aura emanating from her: 'Tsk tsk tsk, the water spirit has gone after the sea, what a connection.'
The Emperor walked to the table, picked up a cup, and then poured himself a cup of red wine from the teapot: "Whatever you like. By the way, where is Magellan now?"
"As for Magellan, he's still under investigation."
"Alright, what's so great about going to a place like that?" The Emperor shrugged and took a sip of red tea. "You're always running off to places like that. Fine, I get it."
Muirsey smiled and said, "After all, Magellan's dream was to explore places like that."
"Let her be," the Emperor waved his hand. "But if she comes back next time, please remind her that some places are best left unvisited; not every place is suitable for exploration."
Muirsey nodded: "I will pass it on."
Chapter 114: The First United Front?
"Oh, right, there's a Deepsea Hunter over here too." The Emperor then looked at the Ghost Shark beside him. "Heh, I really don't know what to say."
“Then there’s no need to say anything.” Specter looked at the Emperor, then pointed at Yuuki. “Anyway, we don’t need to do anything, right?”
The Emperor glanced at Xi Yue and nodded: "That's true. It's just that poor Iberia suffered a loss without even knowing it not long ago."
"So I'm trying my best to make amends." Xi Yue took a sip of red tea and looked at the Emperor. "Now it can be said that it's starting to show results."
"Then you know what you're doing." The Emperor took a sip of red tea and then looked at Specter and Muleseth. "Stay here. The rooms at the Lungmen Hotel are in high demand lately. Anyway, I don't think either of you want to leave."
“Then thank you very much, Mr. Emperor.” Ghost Shark nodded to the Emperor, which was exactly what she wanted. “I just don’t know if there are any vacant rooms or if we need to share a room with others.”
“No need.” The Emperor glanced at Ghost Shark. “There’s an empty room. You two can stay there for now. It’ll be a little cramped, but I don’t think you’d mind.”
“Thank you, Your Majesty.” Muels smiled at the Emperor, stood up, and pointed to the inside of the hall. “Excuse me, where is that room? Perhaps I need to tidy it up.”
"It's at the end of the corridor." The Emperor pointed to a room with its door tightly closed at the very end of the passage. "But it doesn't need cleaning. Xi Yue cleans it here every day. You'd hardly find any dust in that room."
"It's not that serious." Xi Yue smiled at the Emperor. "I'm not a germaphobe, why would I need to make it so clean?"
"Anyway, that's the gist of it." The Emperor then floated over to the others. "This is much cleaner than my previous employees, especially Exusiai. Every time I see your room, I wonder if I'm looking at the room of a fat otaku who never cleans up."
"It's just that those who throw away takeout containers might be a little lazy," Exusiai said, turning her head away. "I'll still tidy up my room."
"You only clean up when you yourself have nowhere to step, right?" The Emperor squinted at Exusiai. "Oh right, and when no one else can stand it anymore."
"Well, it can't be that outrageous, can it?" Exusiai's face was full of an awkward smile. "Isn't everything alright now?"
"Heh!" The Emperor forced a laugh. "You know your own character perfectly well."
The Emperor finished the last sip of his black tea and placed the cup on the table: "Alright, I'm leaving. Have fun."
The Emperor stepped out of his room, took the elevator, returned to his private floor, walked to his office, and looked at Is sitting at his desk, waiting.
"What's the matter?" The Emperor jumped onto his office chair, took out a cigar from his drawer, lit it, and looked at Is. "My employees haven't caused me any trouble lately, have they?"
“Of course not.” Is shook his head. “They just got back, what could have happened? Besides, they’ve been pretty well-behaved lately, and they didn’t have any bills last month.”
"Ha, no bill." The Emperor took off his cigar and exhaled a puff of smoke. "How long has it been since I heard that?"
“It’s been about a year,” Is said after thinking for a moment. “The last time there was no bill was because you took them out, so there was no bill for that month.”
"Hmm." The Emperor nodded helplessly, put the cigar back in his mouth, and took a deep drag. He knew perfectly well that his employees were turning this way.
They are reliable, of course. They have never messed up a job and always do a great job. Their work results are almost impeccable.
However, he is also truly unreliable. There are always unexpected events, big and small, on the way to complete the work. The work is completed, but the bills incurred along the way are never less.
At every gathering, the old dragon would bring up this matter twice, but since Xiyue joined, these guys have had fewer and fewer opportunities to make mistakes.
As for the salary increase that Xiyue mentioned last time, let him have it. He's not short of money, and in terms of the results, the bills that Xiyue saved him after joining the company are enough to triple her salary.
"So, since there's no bill," the Emperor looked at Is, "what else is there?"
“Ah, it’s nothing.” Is pulled out an invitation from the files. “This is an invitation to the Siesta Obsidian Music Festival. It’s for you, boss.”
"Oh, the Obsidian Music Festival?" The Emperor picked up the invitation. "You sent it so early this year."
Is nodded: "So? Should I add this to your schedule, boss?"
“Of course, this kind of music festival would be worthless without my artistic influence.” The Emperor slammed the invitation back onto the table. “By the way, besides me, who else did they invite today? I don’t want any second-rate singers on my stage.”
"Wait a minute, let me see." Is picked up the tablet. "According to the information they've already released, the singers invited this time, besides you, boss, include DDD and the Sunset Fades Choir."
"Hmm, it seems this year's Siesta Obsidian Festival concert was quite good." The Emperor nodded, listening to Is's words. "Siesta has good taste; they didn't invite any mediocre singers, but..."
As the Emperor heard the last name from Is's mouth, a smile appeared on his lips. "The Sunset Fades Choir? The music festival then will be exceptionally interesting."
"Maybe."
------------
Xi Yue moved some of the miscellaneous items that were originally in this room to the balcony. After all, no one lived here, so some miscellaneous items would still be placed here, turning this room into a storage room.
Fortunately, Yuuki usually tidies up when she has nothing to do, so even though there are some miscellaneous items piled up here, it doesn't become dirty or messy.
Muels and Specter stood at the door, watching Yuuki's every move: "Um, we can leave Yuuki to us."
"Hmm?" Xi Yue pulled a bed sheet out of the box, turned to look at the two of them, and a helpless smile appeared on her lips. "But you two just stood at the door looking completely lost after you opened it. It's really hard to know how to entrust this to you."
"Um, this." Ghost Shark scratched her face awkwardly. After all, when the two of them opened the door, they saw that there were boxes of miscellaneous items piled up everywhere in the room. There was a bunk bed in the room, but it was also covered with some neatly organized boxes of miscellaneous items.
