Poseidon in Arknights

Yuuki was indeed driving properly at first, but as she drove, Exusiai couldn't stand the loneliness and started playing with Yuuki again.
After all, Exusiai really couldn't withstand the cold gaming atmosphere inside the car, Texas with a calm expression and hardly communicating, and Skadi with an even more clueless expression and not communicating at all.
As you can imagine, the atmosphere in this game was terrible; it just wouldn't get exciting! So Exusiai decisively pulled Yuuki back into the fray.
Even with Yuuki on her back, the bizarre situation, like a game-like misalignment, is still better than these two who don't interact at all. At least Yuuki knows how to liven up the atmosphere with her!
They would also show their support at appropriate times, creating a highly interactive experience. As a result, the group, with Yuuki looking like a misaligned game character model, started playing a board game.
It has to be said that Exia had quite a few games in the car to prevent boredom. I played them for two days and almost none of them were the same.
Exusiai excitedly slapped the table: "Ha, Yuuki, you lost, you finally lost!"
"You didn't win either, Exusiai." Yuuki smiled at Exusiai and pointed to the table. "Hmm, 32 points, last place again?"
Exusiai's face stiffened: "This, this is not important. What's important is that you're finally not number one!"
"If that's the case, I've actually lost a few games too, haven't I?" Yuzuki smiled as she looked at Exusiai and reached out to touch her head.
Exusiai subconsciously rubbed against Yuuki's hand, then, after hearing Yuuki's words, squinted at Yuuki: "Second in individual score, and then leading the group to first place, right?"
"We're almost there, pack your things away," Texas suddenly said, pointing to the huge black shadow in the distance.
“That makes sense. Well then, loser, you take care of the table. Exusiai, thank you for your help.” Yuuki turned around and merged with her water clone, then gripped the steering wheel.
Texas, sitting in the passenger seat, breathed a sigh of relief. Sitting there, she was constantly watching Yuuki, who seemed to be out of her body, which put a lot of pressure on her.
Yuuki also considered that if she separated into water clones, it would look a bit strange if the water clones overlapped with her. So, in order to reduce the sense of incongruity, Yuuki adjusted the water clones to be almost transparent.
But from Texas's perspective, it looked like a soul leaving the body, making it even more eerie.
--------
"Stop, stop!" A Rhodes Island operator, seeing Yuuki's car pull up, quickly stepped forward and knocked on the car door. "Hello, what brings you to Rhodes Island?"
Yuuki rolled down the car window, leaned out, and showed the tablet in her hand to the Rhodes Island operator: "Penguin Logistics, cargo transportation."
The operator tiptoed to glance at the contents of the tablet and nodded: "Oh, it's you guys. New recruits? Sorry, I was just asking out of curiosity. You can go in now. The goods are to be delivered to warehouse number three."
"It's okay." Xiyue nodded, took the tablet back, and closed the car window.
"Texas, which way is Warehouse Number Three?" After closing the car window, Yuuki turned to look at Texas and asked.
"Go straight ahead, turn left at the second intersection. The warehouse area is two levels down. Then look for the signs." Texas gave the directions with ease.
"Ok."
--------
"The goods have been delivered. We wish you a pleasant life."
The operative unloading the goods scratched his head and looked at Xiyue: "You Penguin Logistics, changed your slogan again?"
"Uh..." Yuuki turned to Texas and the others and asked in a low voice, "How do we usually say it?"
“Generally speaking, it’s Penguin Logistics, they’re always on their way, but whatever, it doesn’t matter.” Exusiai whispered as she leaned closer.
"Yeah, I got it."
At this moment, another Rhodes Island operator walked over with a delivery slip: "You're here pretty fast. I heard there was an Originium Storm disaster on the road between Lungmen and Rhodes Island, and I thought this shipment would be late."
"Originium Storm Cataclysm?" Texas raised an eyebrow. "When did this happen?"
"It happened two days ago, suddenly." The operator glanced at his terminal. "The time the Cataclysmic Messenger said was uncertain, but it ended around 3 a.m. yesterday."
"3 a.m. yesterday?"
“Yes, the affected area is quite large.” The operator nodded and handed the terminal in his hand to Texas.
"To be honest, I thought this shipment would arrive a day or two later. After all, the storm's subsidence and the detour will take time. But it seems you've managed to avoid the timing of the storm's outbreak, which is a good thing."
Just then, a rattling sound came from the truck. The agent quickly turned around and shouted, "Be careful! There are fragile items in this shipment. Handle them gently!"
"Excuse me, I'll be right back." The operator handed the delivery slip to Texas. "After you've reviewed it, just leave the terminal on the table. By the way, even though you weren't involved, it would still be best if you had your blood Originium levels checked, wouldn't it?"
"Hmm..." Texas replied perfunctorily, then turned her gaze to the terminal the operator had handed her.
Exusiai, standing nearby, curiously leaned over and said, "Wow, the area affected is really big."
Originium Storm is one of the types of natural disasters on this land. Its cause and formation pattern are unknown. Compared to other types of natural disasters, its only advantage is that it does not cause a large-scale spread of Originium, turning that area into a mining zone.
Due to its suddenness and wide impact, it is considered the most threatening natural disaster to caravans in the wilderness.
If you are in such an environment and do not take preventative measures or take appropriate safety precautions, the chances of infection are very high.
As for the survival rate, it all depends on luck. If you're lucky, you might survive if you find a sturdy vehicle or a hole on the spot. If you're unlucky, you might be swept into the air or hit by rocks blown up by strong winds, and then no one can say for sure.
That's why Exusiai breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the estimated impact range displayed on the tablet, because the impact range displayed on the terminal exactly included the route they had taken before.
Although the front of the vehicle had been reinforced, and protective steel plates had been stuffed into Yuuki's clothes, she was not in any problem surviving; however, the entire vehicle of cargo was definitely beyond saving.
The boss certainly wouldn't let them lose money, after all, who can predict natural disasters? Especially natural disasters like storms, whose cause is still unclear.
But when the time comes, they'll have to go back and get another batch of goods, and the time they waste on the way will be their problem.
"Lucky?" Texas looked up at Yuuki, who was talking to Skadi.
Out of the corner of her eye, Yuuki saw Texas looking at her. She turned her head and smiled at Texas: "You are indeed very lucky."
"..." Texas saw the smile on Yuuki's lips and immediately understood how they had escaped the storm unscathed, without even knowing about it.
'Can they really do something like this?' Texas breathed a sigh of relief, but another thought quietly surfaced in her mind, 'If it is... no, a contract is a contract.'
Texas closed her eyes, banishing the thoughts from her mind. That was her own business; she shouldn't bother Yuuki.
At that moment, Yuuki was looking at Texas. She saw a struggle in Texas's eyes, so Yuuki asked her a question.
"What's wrong, Texas? Do you need my help?"
Texas looked at Yuuki and shook her head: "No, it's nothing."
"I see. Then please don't hesitate to ask if you need any help." Yuzuki smiled. "I'm always available to listen."
"it is good……"
"Oh, by the way, it'll be a while before they unload. Skadi asked me to go check on her friends. Do you want to come along? Or are you going to go shopping?"
Exusiai wasn't interested in Yuuki's medical skills, so she waved her hand and said, "I'll pass. I'll go see if there are any good desserts on Rhodes Island and bring some back for you guys."
Texas shook her head: "I've finished my Pocky. I'll go buy some. Be careful."
“OK, then we’ll keep in touch by phone.” Yuuki nodded and looked at Skadi. “Let’s go.”
————Rhodes Island Medical Center————
"Psychotherapy can be a long-term process."
Skadi nodded as she listened to Yuuki's words: "That's what they said too, and Kal'tsit said that the shark's back is also a problem."
"Well, perhaps..." Yuuki was interrupted by Skadi's words before she could finish speaking.
“We’ve arrived.” Skadi stopped in front of a hospital room, took out her Rhodes Island employee ID from her pocket, and swiped it on the card reader at the door.
"Hopefully, the shark is still in good spirits today..." Skadi was about to reach out and push the door open when it was suddenly kicked open from the inside. A dark shadow darted out of the door and pounced on Yuuki, knocking her away along with him.
"Yuzuki!" Skadi ran toward the gap in the wall that had been smashed open by the dark figure.
The terrified doctors finally waited until the dust settled, and after seeing the situation clearly, they shouted, "Does anyone know where Dr. Kal'tsit is? Go find her quickly!"
As the doctor in charge of this area, he was naturally aware of Ghost Shark's condition, but this was the first time he had ever seen such a strong reaction from him. He didn't know what to do, though; Ghost Shark was incredibly strong and ignored the sleeping pills.
When Skadi passed through the gap, she saw Specter clinging to Yuuki, biting at her shoulder.
"Shark, let her go!" Skadi threw down her greatsword, intending to step forward and pull Specter away.
"It's alright." Yuuki smiled and stopped Skadi's actions, then waved for the still bewildered patients around to leave quickly.
"Alright, good boy~" Yuzuki stroked Ghost Shark's head. "Come on, good boy, don't be nervous."
As Xi Yue slowly released her power, the lights in the ward seemed to be tinged with blue, filling the entire ward with a sense of tranquility.
----------
"Hmm, it's afternoon tea time." Warfarin lay leisurely on the recliner, holding a blood pack in his hand.
"Dr. Warfarin!" The door to the blood testing room was suddenly pushed open, and a nurse rushed in, startling Warfarin so much that he almost burst the blood bag he was holding.
"What's wrong? What's wrong?" Warfarin quickly put the blood bag he had painstakingly saved on the table and asked the nurse.
"Does Dr. Warfarin know where Chief Kal'tsit is? The Specter patient has gone berserk and seems to have injured someone."
"Who! Oh my god, I know." Warfarin knew something was wrong as soon as he heard that, and quickly took out his phone from his pocket.
"Hey! Kal'tsit, something's happened! That Specter has gone berserk and hurt someone!"
---------
"Where is it? What's going on?" Kal'tsit asked, her brow furrowed as she approached the medical department.
One of the doctors said, "I don't know. Suddenly, there was a loud bang. When I turned around, I saw the Ghost Shark patient carrying someone crashing through the wall."
"Other doctors didn't dare to approach either, but now it seems there's been no movement."
“You were right not to approach,” Kal'tsit nodded.
On her way here, she checked PRTS and found out that Skadi had just opened the door. Although she didn't know why Specter had gone berserk and hurt people, perhaps Skadi had already brought Specter under control, and the situation didn't seem so bad...
Kal'tsit stopped abruptly, looking in the direction before her. The corridor in front of her had somehow taken on a bluish hue.
"What's wrong, Kal'tsit?" Warfarin asked, noticing Kal'tsit suddenly stop.
"Stay here, don't move." Kal'tsit's gaze turned serious; the situation seemed to have become particularly complicated.
"What happened?"
"Don't ask. Knowing too much won't do you any good. Stay here." Kal'tsit stared intently at Warfarin. "Get everyone out of this area."
“…Okay, I understand.” Warfarin nodded at Kal'tsit.
"Hmm..." Kal'tsit took a deep breath and walked into the corridor in front of her.
Mon3tr suddenly appeared next to Kal'tsit, sending her a warning signal.
“I know, but I have to go and see, and hopefully things won’t get any worse than I think.” Kal’tsit looked at the quiet corridor in front of her.
Kal'tsit would rather it be lively inside, with the sound of fighting, even if it meant tearing the place down, but the current silence is making her very uneasy.
Kal'tsit stood in front of the wall that Specter had smashed open, took a deep breath, and walked into the crack. As soon as she got there, she saw Skadi standing to the side.
