The Embers of King's Teyvat Journey
Page 102
"So, what did you mean by what you just said?" Yu Jin changed the subject. Judging from the lady's words, the Fools were out of money?
"It means exactly what it says, we're out of money." The woman readily admitted, her only wish now being to get rid of the embers as quickly as possible.
The woman was somewhat frightened by his presence.
"What? You really have no money left!" Yu Jin was immediately shocked. He circled the woman several times as if he had a purpose.
This made the woman extremely uncomfortable; if an ordinary person dared to look at her like that, they would have turned into an ice sculpture long ago.
Unfortunately, Ember was no ordinary person, and the words he spoke were not something an ordinary person could say.
"You spendthrift woman, you must have lined your own pockets! Look at this necklace, look at these earrings, look at this fur coat, how many Mora are they worth?"
Ember seemed to have become the inspector of the Fools, criticizing the lady's attire from head to toe.
The main reason is that the lady used to flaunt her wealth in front of him, but now that she's fallen on hard times, Ember has to quickly throw a few stones at her.
Hearing Ember's words, the woman was furious. A mist of icy fog emanated from her, causing the temperature in the room to drop several degrees.
"What? Want to fight?" Yu Jin took a few steps back and looked at the woman with a distorted expression.
The woman glanced at the embers, then recalled his actions. She patted her chest, gritting her teeth, and said, "Can't I even have a glass of ice water?"
As she spoke, she walked to her desk, picked up the ice water that had long since frozen over, and drank it.
"Why make such a fuss about drinking water?" Yu Jin muttered.
"Crack!" The sound of shattering glass rang out, and the glass in the woman's hand, along with the ice cubes inside, instantly turned into dust.
"I told you you're a spendthrift! Glasses are free!" Yu Jin laughed, pointing at the woman and talking nonstop.
"Get out!" the woman said, closing her eyes and pointing to the tightly closed door. She was afraid that she would really be angered to death by Ember.
"Alright, alright, enough joking around." Yu Jin waved his hand; he knew exactly when to stop. He understood the difference between being happy once and being happy many times.
"Tell me the truth, is there a conspiracy involved? Don't force me to use any tricks." Yu Jin cracked his knuckles, indicating that he could also resort to violence.
"No!" The woman still looked furious, but they could still communicate normally.
She now regrets coming to Mondstadt, because the Embers are here, which makes many of her plans somewhat constrained.
Moreover, she had absolutely no clue about the most important thing: how to seize Barbatos's Eye of God.
It will likely be difficult to secretly obtain the Heart of God without the help of Ember.
The woman glanced at Ember, who was rummaging through things. Although there was no concrete evidence, she was almost certain that Ember was responsible for the attack on Winterfell.
The fact that Ember could cause such great damage to Winter while in Mondstadt shows that he is even stronger than she imagined.
"Tsk, I told you there wasn't, but that kid Kaiya just wouldn't believe me." Yu Jin shook his head and said, it seems his judgment was quite accurate.
Kaeya? A figure flashed through the woman's mind. The cavalry captain of the Knights of Favonius; they had clashed many times, both openly and secretly.
So it turns out he was behind this too. Looks like I need to find a way to teach him a lesson.
The woman's anger subsided considerably; emotions tend to dissipate very quickly once they have an outlet.
If she can't bully Ember, can't she at least bully a mere cavalry captain in the Knights Order?
"By the way, do you have any eye problems?" Yu Jin seemed to suddenly remember something and asked the woman.
“Very good.” The woman’s eyes narrowed slightly, unsure of Yu Jin’s intention in saying this.
Her eyesight has always been excellent; when she has nightmares, she can even see an orange-yellow "sun." Whenever she follows that "sun," she can always escape the nightmare.
"That's good." Yu Jin nodded. The "Epilepsy Soup" he had given the lady was carefully prepared and theoretically should not cause epilepsy.
However, he still needs to observe the actual situation.
Epilepsy is no good; it can cause the eyeballs to rot. People with epilepsy will see less and less, until eventually all they see are madness and despair.
And epilepsy will spread along with the disease, until it descends upon the world.
Of course, if Ember wanted, He could descend right now.
"Goodbye, and you'd better not let me catch you plotting anything." Ember turned back to the woman and said this before jumping out of the window.
A perfect infiltration; no one noticed except the lady!
The woman walked to the window; the embers had long since vanished. She waved her hand by the window, and the frost on it melted into drops of clear water that fell down.
Recently, she has become even stronger.
The woman looked at the flames that had appeared in her hand and couldn't help but smile.
The raging fire that had been suppressed within her body could now be mobilized so easily. As for why? It seemed she had simply forgotten it before, but now she remembered it, nothing more.
……
"Bang bang bang!" The mornings in Mondstadt are usually peaceful, but today, in the Ember House, this is clearly not the case.
"Who is it? Why aren't you sleeping so early in the morning?" Yu Jin got out of bed. Although he couldn't sleep, he believed in creating a conducive atmosphere. It was bedtime, and he didn't want to disturb others.
"It's me!" Ember opened the door, and a little green man came into view, but unfortunately it wasn't the adventurer, it was Wendy.
"Hey! Why do you look like you don't want to see me?" Wendy looked at Ember. Although he didn't know what Ember's eyes looked like, as Mondstadt's best bard, he was an expert at sensing atmosphere.
The wind that had just blown told him that Ember was somewhat disappointed.
"Who said that? Please come in, please come in." Yu Jin knew a thing or two about hospitality. With that, he led Wendy into the house.
Then Wendy was stunned; he had never seen such a poor house. There was nothing there… wait, why were there so many chairs?
"Sorry, I don't have a cup, so I can't get you any water." Yu Jin looked around and suddenly realized that he hadn't bought a cup at all, and said to Wendy with some embarrassment.
"No...it's nothing." Wendy nodded mechanically; the house really was bare.
He looked at the embers, unable to imagine how this guy had lived in this empty and lifeless house for so long.
"Don't you want to decorate your house?" Wendy suggested, walking up to Ember. Ember's house really was just a house; it was a sight to behold and a story to behold.
"I think it's fine. As long as I have a place to stay, I don't need to be picky." Yu Jin sat in the chair, looked around his room, and thought it was pretty good.
Purely natural and pollution-free.
"Alright, whatever makes you happy." Wendy nodded, not understanding. Then he continued, "The Dragon Tears are all collected. Do you want to come with us to see Dvalin?"
"Look at Dvalin?" Ember stroked his chin and then nodded.
"Yes! Of course I'll go!"
Anyway, he has nothing to do right now, and he just happened to have scared Tvalin quite a bit last time, so he can bring him some things this time.
"Let's go, meet at Dawn Winery." Wendy said, then pulled Ember along and ran out.
Wendy ran ahead, while Ember chased after him absentmindedly. Why absentminded? Because he was thinking about what gift to give Dvalin.
Suddenly, a thought struck Yu Jin. Since Dvalin was always alone, why not send him some things from his own kind?

The Dawn Winery should have been quiet in the morning, but by the time Ember and Wendy arrived, quite a few people had already gathered there.
"Yay! The Dvalin Protection Society, assemble again!" Paimon waved to Ember and Wendy from afar as they arrived.
"Chairman Jean?" Ember glanced around and found that besides Diluc, Luminous, and Paimon, there was another person he hadn't expected.
Now that the storm has subsided, shouldn't the Knights be incredibly busy? Why does Jean have time to attend this "Dvalin Protection Association" event?
"Not the leader, I'm just Jean now." Jean smiled and shook her head. She had managed to steal a moment of leisure amidst her busy schedule; rescuing Dvalin, though significant, wasn't particularly hectic.
These days, all she has to do is search for the Dragon's Tears, which is not a difficult task for Qin, who has a strong search ability.
Qin has a special skill: she can find anything she's looking for simply by walking around without worrying about anything else.
Qin found her pet turtle when it ran away, and this method worked every time!
This search for Dragon Tears is no exception.
"Hehe, we have to thank Lord Diluc, otherwise we'd probably still be being chased by the Knights of Favonius," Paimon said with a smile, looking at Diluc. The past few days have gone so smoothly; Diluc deserves a lot of credit.
"It's just my duty. As one of the Four Winds Guardians, I shouldn't be used by those inhuman beings," Diluc said expressionlessly.
“Actually, you don’t need to go to all this trouble. You can just go to the office and ask, and you can borrow it.” Jean looked at the Sky Harp in Wendy’s hand. To be honest, this was the first time she had ever heard of the Sky Harp’s function.
“So many people want to see you every day, it’ll be too late if we wait for you,” Diluc replied.
Anyone can find Qin; there are no barriers. This is one of the reasons why Qin, as the band leader, is so busy.
Whether it's a big or small matter, the residents of Mondstadt always turn to Jean for help. Jean herself never refuses anyone's request, and she always manages to meet everyone's expectations.
"Alright, let's get down to business. Luminous, try purifying these teardrops." Venti interrupted Diluc and Jean's conversation. He took out a bunch of red teardrops that emitted an ominous glow.
"Although it's not the first time I've seen it, the scent of these tears is truly unsettling. Dvalin... what is he enduring?" Jean felt the chaotic and frenzied aura before her, and she couldn't hide her shock.
These are just the tears that Tvalin shed; the poisonous blood within his body is probably a hundred times more troublesome.
"It really does have a distressing aura," Wendy said, looking at the teardrop in her hand, seemingly recalling Dvalin's pain. Her tone was somewhat somber.
“But we have everyone.” Ying glanced around. Paimon, the life of the party; Jean, the dutiful leader; Diluc, the serious and reliable one; Venti, the strategist; and…
Embers are searching for something among a pile of clutter.
"Where? Where?" Ember pulled out a bunch of odds and ends from somewhere, including armor, a sledgehammer, and a scarlet heart.
"No, that won't do. Ying and Paimon are still young; it's better to put away something this bloody." Seeing everyone's gazes directed at him, Yu Jin immediately put away the dragon heart, still stained with blood.
"Why are you looking at me?" Yu Jin kicked the giant dragon claw aside and said nonchalantly.
"What are all these things?" Wendy asked, looking at the pile of unidentifiable armor, weapons, and stones around Ember.
These things look so much like they're made from something that's on a dragon's body.
For example, the giant hammer that Ember just kicked away, the more Wendy looked at it, the more it seemed to resemble a dragon's claw.
“I’m meeting Dvalin soon, can’t I prepare a gift?” Ember said, and started looking again.
Wendy and the others saw him without suspicion. Ember's thought process is rather unpredictable, so it's best not to delve too deeply into it unless absolutely necessary, or you might be assimilated by him!
Ying glanced at Ember, who was scratching his head, and a smile appeared on her lips. Ember was still as powerful and approachable as ever.
She reached out and touched the crimson dragon tears. Soon, in some strange transformation, the crimson color of the dragon tears vanished, leaving only pure wind.
"This is..." Ying clenched her fists. She hadn't felt anything when she purified just one drop of dragon tear. But now that she had purified so many at once, she clearly felt like she had become a little stronger.
