The Embers of King's Teyvat Journey

Dulin's mental strength was the greatest she had ever seen among all the creatures, and it far surpassed the second-ranked one!
Alex, on the other hand, was much calmer; he had long anticipated Dulin's special circumstances.
"Phew—" Alex put away the equipment and let out a long sigh. He said eagerly, "With such high mental strength, it seems there's no need to worry about any limitations."
"You mean, build a mechanical dragon?" Ember asked casually, watching Alex rubbing his hands together in anticipation.
"What else? These are all I know how to make. Even if you asked me to make something else, I couldn't." Alex shrugged, indicating that this was the only idea he could think of.
"So what do you think, Dulin?" Yu Jin turned his head and asked Dulin for his opinion again.
"I... I don't want a body." Dulin's eyes began to flicker as it recalled its past experiences as a dragon.
The dragon's size makes all its movements extraordinarily terrifying; even simple flight and running can create hurricanes and tremors that destroy any house.
It took away so much beauty without us even realizing it. Dulin feared that such a scene would happen again.
I am a life that was not allowed to be born, and I should not have appeared in this world.
Thinking of this, Dulin curled up into a ball again. He buried his head in his stomach and said weakly, "Forget it, I'm fine like this, I won't hurt anyone."
When Yu Jin saw Du Lin start to wallow in self-pity again, he immediately pulled it away from the ball it was almost curled up into.
He grabbed Dulin's head with his hand, staring intently into Dulin's blinking dragon eyes, and said, "What is this? You'd be better off just chopping you up with one stroke!"
"I dragged you out here not to be used as a case study of depression. So many people have died because of you, and you haven't shown any remorse. Have you had enough of living?!"
After saying that, Ember loosened his grip, and Dulin's head drooped down again.
Dulin remained silent for a long time after hearing Ember's words. Just when Ember thought it had come to its senses and was no longer depressed, Dulin unexpectedly spoke up:
"Uncle, you're right. I shouldn't have been born. Just kill me, that'll be enough."
After saying that, Dulin closed his longan, looking like he was just waiting to die.
This time, Ember silenced everyone. It used to be Ember who silenced others, but now it's the other way around.
Yu Jin looked at Du Lin, reached out and tapped its dragon head, and said to it, "I prefer people to call me brother, or just call me by my name. Calling me uncle makes me sound old."
Dulin opened its eyes in surprise upon hearing this. It had thought that saying these words would either result in a barrage of angry curses or a farewell to the world.
But it didn't expect the embers' reaction to be so indifferent, even more indifferent than when it had just warned itself.
"I know what you're afraid of. Are you afraid of falling back into that same muddled state? Are you afraid that the beauty you see will once again become someone else's despair?"
"Let me tell you this, don't compare me to your mother, you can't compare them," Yu Jin said, shaking his head.
"Mom is the best!" Dulin suddenly became inexplicably assertive when Rhinedoth was mentioned. It rarely contradicted Ember's statement, because in its heart, its mother was the strongest.
"Really? Then why didn't your mother make up for your shortcomings?" Yu Jin asked Du Lin in return.
“This…this is because I was never allowed to be born.” Dulin paused for a moment, but quickly found a reason.
"Who said that? Did she say that?" Ember placed a hand on Dulin and said to it, "Interested in seeing something that is truly forbidden to be born?"
"Something that is truly not allowed to be born?" Dulin pondered Ember's words silently, trying to understand what Ember meant.
However, Ember no longer paid attention to Dulin. He turned his head to look at Bayeta, who was not far away.
"You say this abyss is too stable, like a sheep? You say you crave the forbidden? Then come on, if you can bear it, study it, though it's destined to be futile."
As soon as Yu Jin finished speaking, ripples appeared in the space in front of him. A large rift was torn open amidst the distortion and vibration of space.
"Hurry up and catch up, or you'll miss this opportunity. I don't usually let just anyone see me!"
After leaving those words, Ember went inside first, leaving Alex and the others looking at each other in bewilderment.
"A taboo? I'd like to see what it is!" Bayeta quickly calmed himself down and then followed.
"Let's go, little guy named Dulin. Are you really going to stay here?" Alex glanced at Dulin, who was still in a daze, gave him a reminder, and then followed.
"Wait...wait for me!" Dulin looked around and realized that apart from the robots, he was the only living person left in the entire factory.
In a moment of desperation, he followed after them.
……
After a moment of dizziness, everyone found themselves back on solid ground.
"Cough cough cough!" The ashes that had settled on the ground for so long stirred up with the arrival of the group, forming a large cloud of mist. This caused everyone to cough.
"Hehe, few people come here. It's a bit dirty, but it'll be fine in a bit." Yu Jin scratched his head as he saw everyone coughing.
As he said, there was so much ash here that the whole land was covered with a thick layer of white frost.
After the ashes slowly settled, everyone began to carefully observe the scene.
The most striking thing in the sky was the sun, which was unlike any other in the world.
A black sun hung in the sky, surrounded by a faint red halo. This red halo, like water flowing from the black sun, stretched into a thin red pillar between the sun and the earth.
Upon seeing this scene, both Bayeta and Alex involuntarily widened their eyes. The current dynasty of Kanria is known as the "Black Sun" dynasty.
Alex and Bajetta never expected that they would actually see the Black Sun, and such a different kind of Black Sun at that.
Alex looked around, but he couldn't see into the distance because his vision was filled with ruins.
He looked at his thighs; pale ash had covered his knees.
"How do we get there?" Alex tried to take a step, but it was extremely difficult.
"Didn't I tell you? It'll be ready in a bit," Ember said to Alex, then opened his arms.
"Boom!!!" Ember closed his arms, and an unparalleled storm erupted from the gap between his palms.
The storm swept up ashes, debris, and everything that stood in its way, rushing forward.
Beyond the storm lies a vast open space!

A tremendous gale was howling, and everyone involuntarily closed their eyes in the face of this storm, even though the storm seemed to be deliberately avoiding Yu Jin and his group.
The frost disappeared, and the broken walls turned to ash. When the storm subsided, a completely different scene appeared before everyone's eyes.
"How about that? I told you it would be fine in a bit!" After the storm, there was a vast, flat plain. Although there was no life on this plain.
Alex looked at the suddenly clear scene before him. Whether it was the accumulated wreckage or the mountains he had never seen before in the distance, everything had been flattened by the storm.
He gazed into the distance, seeing only endless flatness. The earth and sky blurred in the far distance, indistinguishable from one another.
Alex rubbed his red eyes. He couldn't tell whether the embers had blown away everything in their path or simply shaved off a layer of the ground.
“Heh…heh.” Alex looked at Ember with a complicated expression. He could only chuckle a few times and couldn’t say anything else.
Alex felt a strange sense of loss. Could human beings really do this much?
He used to be very confident in surpassing the gods, but now, seeing the immense power of the embers' casual actions, his confidence has wavered.
"What...what is that?!" Just as Alex was lost in self-doubt, Bajetta's exclamation pulled him back to reality.
Alex looked up and, following the direction Baetta was pointing, saw the entire sky clearly divided into three distinct regions.
The sky was a deep, blood-red expanse, but in addition to the crimson hue, wisps of dark clouds drifted by, making it look like dried bloodstains in the sky.
The entire sky looked as if it had been soaked and stained with endless blood.
The other part of the sky was shrouded in endless yellow and black, with orange-yellow or charred black cirrus clouds swirling and intertwining. They would suddenly burst up and then suddenly disappear, dancing endlessly.
As Alex looked from afar, the more he looked, the more he felt that the clouds in the sky were not clouds, but flames.
That sky seemed to be burning endlessly. Everything else ceased to exist; only flickering flames remained between heaven and earth.
Alex looked up at the sky above him and saw nothing unusual except for the thick clouds.
This made him feel somewhat fortunate. Although this place was strange, it was relatively normal compared to the other two places that did not seem like good places at all.
Looking at the group gazing into the distance, Yu Jin tapped each of them on the head and waved his hand, saying, "Alright, stop looking. If you're interested in those two places, I can take you there later, but be prepared."
Then he added meaningfully, "Of course, the same is true here."
Upon hearing this, everyone shuddered. They stopped being distracted and followed closely behind Yu Jin.
"Not bad, you know to stick close to me." Yu Jin said approvingly, looking at the three followers who were following closely behind him.
On the surface, everything here appears calm, but beneath the surface, undercurrents are surging. If you don't follow the embers, you won't even know when you've disappeared.
Moreover, there are some things here that you can't see anywhere else.
"Bang!" A dull thud echoed from the ground, and a human hand suddenly emerged from the solid ground.
Calling it a human hand is a bit of a stretch, as the hand had no flesh and blood; the skin was directly attached to the bones inside—if it even had bones.
Its surface is jet black with a bluish sheen, as if it had just crawled out of asphalt. It has a flowing, oily sheen, giving it a damp feel.
It's as if if you're scratched by it, its essence will remain forever at the spot where it scratched you, never to disappear.
"Tsk, still so blind." Yu Jin said, forcefully pressing back the long, thin hand that had been extended.
The sound of something hard cracking echoed across the desolate field, causing Alex and his companions to gasp in shock.
The atmosphere here seems a bit strange.
"What...what was that thing just now?" Bayeta recalled the scene she had just witnessed. A feeling of suffocation and despair instantly filled her mind.
Her temples began to throb, her vision began to shrink, and she was powerless to do anything about it.
It was as if an invisible giant hand was gripping her body and dragging her down into the unfathomable depths of the sea.
"Snap!" A crisp sound rang out first, then Bayeta saw the light return to her eyes, and then she felt a faint pain between her eyebrows—Ember had flicked her forehead.
"Ha...ha..., huff..." Bayeta collapsed to the ground, stubbornly using her remaining strength in her hands to support her already limp body, barely managing not to lie down.
Large beads of sweat rolled down her forehead, and Bayeta's breathing was so heavy it didn't sound like a woman's.
Her lips were still trembling, and her face was as pale as the layer of ashes that had been spread on the ground.
Bajetta seemed to know what that had just been: darkness. Nothing could be seen, nothing could be heard, there was no past, no future, a darkness that devoured everything.
"Tsk! You're no good. You're researching forbidden topics and you've already collapsed before you've even started?" An iron hand suddenly reached out in front of Bayeta.
Bayeta looked up at the embers, which were backlit but cast no shadows.
She reached out and shook hands with Ember. A warm current flowed from Ember's hand into her body, taking away all her unease and fear.
