The Embers of King's Teyvat Journey

With a flash of light, the figure instantly appeared in front of Yu Jin.
"Clang!" The blade light stopped, and without any surprise, the swift and sharp single-stroke slash of the shadow was blocked by the embers.
"Your knife is very good." Yu Jin looked up at the gleaming Dream Heart on his face and exclaimed in admiration.
This sword is somewhat similar to the divine sword that appeared in the borderlands, both of which are imbued with an aura called "divine".
Despite his immense power and ambition, he was still held back by the unremarkable katana in Yu Jin's hand.
Ember has a collecting habit, and he can't remember when he got this katana.
The people of the East loved swords; often, even as corpses decomposed, the swords in their hands would still gleam. It was because of this gleam that Yu Jin possessed arguably the most weapons from the East.
After all, the instinct to be drawn to light is inherent in the immortals; wherever there is light, the embers always want to rummage around.
This sword was the one Yu Jin used most comfortably. He didn't know if it had been enhanced, but it had always been with him.
When Ember wants to use weapons from foreign lands or occasionally sees undead wearing Eastern armor, he will take them out to play with.
After all this time, Yu Jin hadn't maintained it, yet the sword had somehow remained sturdy. This made Yu Jin somewhat doubt the necessity of the Eastern people maintaining their samurai swords.
Lightning flashed, but the shadow did not respond. Seeing that her dream was not progressing, she decisively retreated and created distance.
Retreating does not mean giving in; sometimes it is simply making room for a stronger attack.
Without sheathing his sword, Ying unleashed an Iaijutsu slash. The sheathing of the sword in an Iaijutsu slash not only prevents the enemy from predicting the timing of the attack, but the sheathing motion itself is the best way to generate power for the Iaijutsu slash.
Now, without a scabbard, he unleashed a perfect Iaijutsu, demonstrating his exceptional skill in martial arts.
General Thunder's moves are wide and sweeping, exuding power, while Shadow's are the complete opposite.
Her moves were restrained yet swift, but their power was in no way inferior to that of General Thunder. In fact, because her movements were smaller and her strike area narrower, her power was even greater than that of General Thunder.
The blade, glowing with purple light, slashed at Yu Jin's waist with an unstoppable force.
Seeing this, Yu Jin remained calm. He seized the opportunity, turned his blade upwards, and used the back of the blade to release the power of the shadow into the air.
Both sides were familiar with this technique of deflecting and shifting force, because it was the same parry that Ember had used before.
Ember had demonstrated to General Thunder that parrying could be used without a shield, and the latter was naturally wary.
"Boom!" The power contained within the Shadow Blade surged upwards, forming a persistent thunderstorm in the air.
Its commotion was as immense as that of the thunderous general in the distance.
But this was not the full force of the attack; some of its power remained undiminished.
Yu Jin glanced down at the purple knife mark on his wrist, twisted his wrist a few times, and the purple mark turned into wisps of green smoke and disappeared.
His armor, of course, remained unchanged, except for one more scratch.
"Your knife... it doesn't seem to be sharpened, does it?" After restoring everything, Ember asked Shadow with a puzzled look.
Dream is a good sword, but its only flaw is that it's not sharpened. This is also why Ember and Shadow were talking while fighting—although this "conversation" was basically just him dealing damage.
Because Dream was not yet sharpened, Ember was able to be certain that even if this probing attack hit him, it would not be able to break through his defenses.
But now it seems that's not the case. The knife cut itself, leaving a wound.
Unsurprisingly, Ying remained silent once again.
“Okay! I’ll try it myself.” Yu Jin nodded, and flames erupted from his armor.
Sheathing his katana, Yu Jin also assumed a stance for a quick-draw slash.
"sieve!"
The distant firelight suddenly disappeared, and Ying instantly felt an intense heat in front of him.
The firelight appeared in front of the shadow, bringing heat and the glint of the iaido blade.
The moment she saw the glint of the blade, Ying reacted immediately, bracing herself against the back of the sword and adopting a horizontal posture.
"Clang!" The immense power emanating from Dream Heart completely distorted Shadow's movements, but the blade light was also blocked outside of Dream Heart, unable to advance any further.
Just as Ying was catching her breath, a sharp pain shot through her brow. A gust of wind tore at her brow before the blade could strike, startling her.
"Boom!" Lightning erupted, and the surging elemental power, like magma, poured out from the ground. It did not distinguish between friend and foe; its only purpose was to increase the distance between Ember and Shadow.
"Cough cough cough!" Ying got up from the ground and coughed a few times. This was the first time she had ever used elemental power in such a haphazard way.
Touching her forehead, Ying felt a sense of familiarity amidst her shock.
Soon, Ember told Shadow where her doubts came from.
"I saw that you used a couple of moves on me quite well before, so I borrowed them to use."
"The Iaijutsu cuts off the opponent's retreat, and the One-Line Slash goes straight for their vital point. This Cross Slash is pretty good, isn't it?"
Ember landed and stood firm, then asked Shadow.
"Impressive moves. Your martial arts skills are worthy of my title as a senior." Shadow nodded, acknowledging Ember's skill.
"Then can you answer a question for me, your senior? How did you manage to sharpen your blade when you were so focused on your dream?"
Ying flattered him, and Yu Jin actually accepted it. Not only did he accept it, but he even started using the title of "senior" on the spot.
"It's none of your business." Ying raised his hand, drew his sword, and summoned lightning in one fluid motion.
A deafening roar of lightning descended from the sky, creating a deafening din. But even this couldn't stop the sound of embers from reaching us.
Leaping through the lightning, Ember continued to shout, "If I'm not mistaken, this sword was never meant to be sharpened from the very beginning."
"An unsharpened knife, having followed the most combative master, has become sharp as a result."
"You said even your favorite knife is subject to change, so what is eternally unchanging?"

Although Shadow didn't want to hear Ember's rambling, his voice still reached Shadow's ears through the roaring thunder.
"This sword has always been like this." Ying saw Yu Jin leaping and bounding in the lightning, but fortunately he simply lowered his arm and stopped the storm.
"Being a coward? That certainly suits your personality," Yu Jin said, raising an eyebrow with a hint of mockery.
Hiding in his so-called "pure land of mind" while dumping his responsibilities on a puppet—isn't that, in a way, escapism?
Although the actor himself didn't have that intention.
"There's no point in saying more!" Ying looked up at Yu Jin and decided not to engage in a verbal battle with him.
She was very self-aware; when it came to verbal skills, she was probably no match for a villager.
"Boom! Boom!" Several blades of light accompanied by lightning flashed by, but unfortunately they were all neutralized by the embers.
The flashes of swords and fire in this space would likely lead an ordinary person to think that there was something wrong with the lighting, rather than that a battle was taking place.
A figure emerged from the flash of blades, and Ying shook her slightly numb arm. The person before her was even stronger than she had imagined; Ying couldn't remember the last time she had encountered such an impenetrable defense.
It seems that ever since she obtained the position of Demon God, any enemy would be cut down by her with a single slash before she could even defend herself.
Even if the first strike fails to kill, the second strike will surely reduce the enemy to ashes.
Looking at Ember, who wasn't even panting, the lightning on Shadow's body was stronger than ever before.
"Buzz!"
A deep purple spatial rift appeared in front of her, and without the slightest hesitation, she instantly dashed into the rift.
"Sususu!"
Her body was swallowed by the spatial rift, which then spewed out four sharp vertical waves.
The vertical waves spread outwards in a cross shape. Although they were aimed at the embers, the gaps between the vertical waves were too large, and the embers easily dodged them.
"Bah!"
The vertical waves spread to their end and exploded. Instead of dissipating into chaotic power, a shadowy figure emerged from the purple expanse.
Four vertical waves emerged, casting four shadows.
They formed a pincer movement, firmly gripping the embers from all sides.
"Clones? You can even do that?" Yu Jin was a little surprised when he saw the shadows surrounding him.
Someone as devoted to martial arts as Ying should be training himself to the limit, right? Why would he learn a technique like creating clones to disperse his power?
"Take this!" As expected, Yu Jin was talking to himself this time, and did not get any feedback from Ying.
Four figures appeared, two wielding katanas and two wielding naginatas. They surrounded him from all sides, forming pairs and completely sealing off any space for Yu Jin to dodge.
The clanging and banging sounds continued incessantly as Yu Jin swung his samurai sword, but he couldn't escape his fate of being covered in wounds.
As the saying goes, two fists can't beat four hands, but his situation was even more dangerous than the saying suggests, as he was facing eight hands with his own two fists.
"drink!"
Yu Jin abandoned his defense, crossed his arms in front of his chest, bent over, and then thrust upwards heavily.
"Boom!"
The space around the embers was instantly compressed into a layered pancake, with countless folds appearing around him and continuously expanding outwards.
Wrath of the Gods—the ancient prototype of the Force. It can unleash powerful shockwaves. Wrath of the Gods is a very long story, while The Force is a condensed version of it.
This is a story describing extreme anger, capable of causing immense damage with a shockwave.
The spatial anomaly caught the clones, who were frantically slashing around them, off guard, and they were thrown away by the surging shockwave.
Impacted by the wrath of the gods, the clones became somewhat more illusory. However, seeing that the clone technique was indeed effective, Shadow naturally wouldn't just watch them dissipate.
She channeled more of her power and will, and the previously somewhat illusory clone immediately solidified again.
The clone and the main body of the shadow quickly adjusted their posture in mid-air, landing steadily and warily watching the distorted and rippling space in the distance.
The shockwave subsided, and the distorted space gradually flattened. Then, the purple-red embers appeared before Shadow.
"Hiss... You guys really don't hold back at all." Ember scratched the knife marks on his armor with his hand, his fingers covered in extremely thick lightning elemental power.
That's where the purple color all over his body came from.
Not content with tearing Ember's armor to shreds, Shadow and her clones also left their elemental energy on the cuts, like a leech.
These elemental forces continuously eroded inward from the numerous knife wounds, seemingly attempting to invade the body of the embers.
