The Embers of King's Teyvat Journey

Although Jeberle said this, he couldn't hide the smile on his face, and his weathered face looked much younger because of the smile.
"Clap! Clap! Clap!"
"The touching father-daughter relationship almost brought me to tears."
Just as Jeberlele and Jade were chatting and laughing, a sarcastic exclamation came from the side.
"Who is it? I'm talking to my dad, what's it to you?"
"Jade! Come behind me!"
"Dad..."
Jade looked relaxed and at ease, but Jeberle was not. His smile vanished instantly, replaced by extreme vigilance and shock.
Jade had never seen her father show such an expression, not even when they were surrounded by monsters while escorting a caravan.
She silently retreated behind Jeberlele, saying nothing more. But if one looked closely, one would notice that the water in the blade in her hand was already surging.
“Zebler, old friend, is this how you treat me?” Samel walked over with his arms crossed, looked at the lion-like Zebler, and shook his head with a smile.
Looking up and seeing Jade, equally wary, behind Jeberle, Samel extended his arms and said in a gentle tone:
"Little Jade, come here and let your uncle see you. I held you when you were little!"
"Get out of my way, Samel! I've severed all ties with you! Don't bother me! Otherwise..."
Jeberlele pulled off his heavy axe, which was covered by a black cloth, and lightning crackled on it.
The tense atmosphere caused many diners to abandon their food and run out of the restaurant. The owner, behind the counter, crouched on the ground, his face filled with panic.
He glanced at their positions from time to time, the Void Terminal beside his ear flashing slightly.
"Don't be so nervous. Did I say I came here for the tribe and Thutmose?"
"Look, I didn't even bring any weapons. Don't mess with the thirty-man gang. I'm no big deal, but your dream of a peaceful life is going to be ruined."
Seeing Jeberlele, who looked like a lion with its mane bristling, Samel bent down, exposing his bare back.
"Dad... is he really your friend?" Jade clenched her fist even tighter when she saw the arrogant aura emanating from the man in front of her.
"Of course! If you think about it, it's been more than ten years since I last saw your father, hasn't it?"
Sammer straightened up and tossed a bag of Mora into the counter.
"Boss, I'll rent the second floor for a while. Don't let me see the group of thirty and other people come up here."
"otherwise……"
"boom!"
Sammer slammed his hand heavily on the table in front of him, the immense force instantly turning the solid wood dining table into countless flying fragments and wood chips.
"By the way, the money for this table is already in the bag I threw to you."
Samel glanced back at the wary Jeberle and the somewhat dazed Jade, then walked upstairs without looking back.
Inside the huge restaurant, only Jeberle and Jade, whose expressions were uncertain, and the owner, who occasionally peeked out from behind the counter.
"Dad, what do we do?" Jade stepped on the broken pieces of the table on the ground. This guy named "Samel" was not to be underestimated.
"Go up. If you're being targeted by a venomous snake in the desert, facing it head-on is the only way to solve the problem."
Jeberle sighed, slung his heavy axe over his shoulder, and led Jade up to the second floor.
……
"Squeak~, squeak~"
Heavy footsteps approached, each step accompanied by the creaking of the stairs as they slumped under the weight.
A burly figure gradually appeared in the direction of the corridor, and Zheberler walked up step by step.
"So many years of peaceful life have not diminished your skills, Jeberlele, that's rare."
Samel leaned against the window, looking completely nonchalant.
“Because I know there’s still this venomous snake like you that needs to be dealt with.” Jeberlele looked up at his former companion, now his enemy.
"Tsk, then you'll have to go to the desert. After all, the Order Council will investigate killing someone in Sumeru City, won't they?"
Samel responded to Zerberle's words with nothing but sneers and mockery. He and Zerberle were evenly matched in strength, and the reason he dared to meet Zerberle unarmed was because he knew Zerberle wanted a peaceful life.
“I have many ways to make you disappear without a trace.” Zeberlele casually pulled over a chair and sat down.
“Of course I know that, after all, you learned a lot from me. Come on, Jade, why are you standing? Sit down too.”
As Samel spoke, he warmly greeted Jade.
Jeberlele blocked the tea that Sammer was offering him, no longer wanting to engage in any pretense.
“Tell me, what do you want? If you want me to go back to the desert, then get lost!” With his eyes fixed on Samel, Jeberlele seemed to want to see right through him.
Unfortunately, Sammer's thoughts, hidden behind the mask and blindfold, were not so easily discerned. Jeberle's doubts only deepened.
"You still have the key from over a decade ago, don't you?"
"You want it? Take it."
Without saying a word, Jeberlele threw over a small triangular triangular gadget hanging from his waist.
“It seems you’ve really become much weaker since taking on responsibility.” Samel took the key and glanced at Jade beside Jeberle.
Hearing Samel's sarcasm and noticing his gaze, Jeberle did not refute, but simply said:
"That's usually the case, but don't push me to my limits. I assure you, my current limits are far beyond what I used to be."
“I know, I know,” Samel nodded in agreement.
"What else is there?" Jeberlele was already quite impatient.
“Recommend me a scholar, someone who is proficient in ancient civilizations’ symbols and scripts…” Sammer said bluntly. He paused for a moment, as if he had thought of something, and then continued:
"And some gossip about the Order of the Fathers, just a few words will do."

"A scholar? You haven't given up that pointless delusion yet?" Upon hearing this, Jeberle frowned and immediately prepared to leave with Jade.
He no longer wanted any connection with the Order of the Church or the Crimson King; his greatest ambition now was to live a quiet life in Sumeru City.
"Useless? But I've already made progress. With sufficient preparation, opening the Golden Dreamland is a piece of cake!"
"Besides, this seems to be both Yufei's and your own wish, right?"
Sammer's words were incredibly tempting, like honey drawing the mind. But Jeberle saw the venom beneath the sweetness. After taking a few deep breaths, he slowly said:
"Samel, if you don't want to be torn to pieces by me right now, you'd better get out of here!"
"Bah!"
Lightning from Jeberlele's heavy axe struck Samel in the face. He slammed his fist on the table, stood up, and pulled Jade along, preparing to leave.
However, before leaving, he did not forget the last request Samel made to him.
"The information you're looking for is all on the Order House's bulletin board! Go check it out yourself!"
"I've said everything I can say. Don't bother me anymore, or else..."
Jeberlele glanced back at the composed Samel, his sharp gaze causing the latter to stiffen.
"Squeak! Squeak!"
The dull footsteps faded into the distance, and Samel finally snapped out of his daze.
"Phew... Emotions... it seems they're not entirely useless after all..."
He recalled the look in Jeberlele's eyes when he left; it was a look he had never seen before.
Emotions can be transformed into power, and sometimes the limits they unleash are no less than those unleashed by the terror of life and death.
……
Stepping out of the restaurant, Jeberle led Jade through the spiderweb-like alleyways.
Jade followed Jeberleil for quite a while, but still saw no sign of her father stopping. So she used her strength to break free from Jeberleil's grasp.
"Dad, who exactly is he? Is he your old enemy?"
“An enemy…” Jeberlele stopped in his tracks when he saw the confusion and exhaustion on Jade’s face.
Jade's question made him lower his head and think for a moment, then he nodded.
"Yes, they are enemies. I broke ties with them more than ten years ago."
"Then what are we waiting for? No one wants a venomous snake following them, Dad, why don't we..."
"Jed, what did you say?" Jeberlele turned around in surprise upon hearing Jeed's words.
His expression of surprise and uncertainty was palpable; anyone who wasn't blind could see it.
"I say... why don't we find a chance to take care of that guy from earlier!"
Jade looked at the empty alley, leaned her head closer, and whispered.
"..."
After confirming that he hadn't misheard, Jeberlele began to carefully examine his daughter.
Her blue-purple twin ponytails, paired with the gold-embroidered red silk on her face, give her a quirky and unpredictable air.
The girl was beautiful and full of boundless energy, but her face revealed a fierceness that shouldn't be there for her age.
"Give me that fist blade." Without saying a word, Jeberle took the weapon from Jade's hand.
"Huh? Dad, what are you doing?" Jade looked at her empty hands and then looked at Jeberlele, who was packing up his fist blades, with a puzzled expression.
"Don't do anything. You're a girl. It's best to never get involved in fighting or killing."
"This set of weapons isn't quite right for you. I'll keep it for you for now and give it to you when you're a bit older."
After packing up the weapons, Jeberle wiped the sweat from his forehead with lingering fear.
The weapon he gave to Jade was infested with a spirit, although he had specifically chosen one that was relatively quiet.
