The British Spider-Man asked 2099.

"He's right, we are not strong enough yet, but our fight will not stop."

Spider-Man 2099 wasn't as angry as the British Spider-Man.

"We've gathered over twenty Spider-Men now, isn't that enough? We can still win without this arrogant guy."

The British Spider-Man felt that Peter really infuriated him.

Spider-Ham chimed in, "He's an oddball, and the kind that's hard to talk to, but I understand. Those arrogant guys always prefer to be alone."

Putting the hammer away, he said to the two Spider-Men, "Perhaps we should really contact the Spider-Man on Earth 616 first."

Spider-Man 2099 didn't speak. After a while, he turned his gaze to the British Spider-Man and asked, "Where's Maddie Parker?"

The Spider Girl, who came to Earth 65 with the three, was not present at this time.

"She went to find another Spider-Man."

The British Spider-Man suddenly remembered that there was another Spider-Woman in this world.

Perhaps we can recruit this Spider-Woman on our side.

Spider-Man 2099 on the other side suddenly felt a little regretful.

He shouldn't have come so hastily; he should have brought Spider-Woman Jessica, Silk, and Spider-Man Noir with him.

After all, these three Spider-Men had some connections with the other side.

Furthermore, Jessica has a good relationship with the Spider Woman of this world.

If these three had been sent to handle the situation, things might not have gone wrong like this.

"who are you?"

Gwen followed the trail of the suddenly appearing Spider Woman.

Finally, on the rooftop of an office building, Gwen caught up with him.

The other person was wearing a red and blue spider uniform, which perfectly accentuated their figure.

Especially the chest area, which is magnificent.

Even from a fleeting glance at the side, Gwen could still imagine how vast the other person was.

It even made her feel a little jealous.

Banishing the inappropriate thoughts from her mind, she asked the other person, "Why did you lead me here?"

"because."

Medea Parker turned around and slowly removed the mask from her head.

A girl's face with deep-set eyes and black hair appeared before Gwen.

"We need your help."

"you?!"

Gwen looked at the other person in surprise.

She never expected that the other person would lift their mask and reveal their true face right in front of her.

"I am Maddie Parker, Spider-Man from another dimension. We are calling upon Spider-Men from across the multiverse to confront the monsters that are slaughtering us."

Maddie Parker's face was filled with sadness. "We're losing ground, so we need to gather more Spider-Man."

Gwen looked at Medea Parker in front of her, somewhat bewildered. She hadn't expected the other woman to invite her so directly.

"We are experiencing a war."

She continued to tell Gwen, "Even though most of us have lost loved ones and homes, we will not give in."

"The heir?"

Gwen lowered her head and repeated the word.

She thought of Barton from the Spider Ogre universe who was killed, Sarah who was nearly killed, and the vicious Moron.

So, do you want me to join you?

Gwen was somewhat tempted.

She also hopes to help the Spider-Men who have been slaughtered.

She was powerless before because she had lost her superpowers, but now that she has regained them, she wants to help.

However, one cannot make decisions on one's own; one must also listen to Peter's advice.

Midtown High School.

After Gwen and the girl who called herself Maddie Parker separated, they went to school.

It was recess, and Gwen walked to a row of lockers, interrupting a group of girls huddled together.

Gwen stuffed her backpack into the locker and turned around.

Good morning, Gwen. You haven't been to school in a long time.

Looking at Glory standing behind her, Gwen smiled.

Glory was wearing glasses and holding a textbook.

The pages of the book were cut out, as if concealing a gun or—

“You have food hidden in your book, Gloria.”

Gwen said to her bandmates.

"what?"

Glory pretended not to understand, "No! No, uh, no?"

But she quickly smacked her lips. "Okay, I admit it, I'm eating Tarty cake, Gwen."

"Is this a bad thing? Why hide it?" Gwen asked, her face full of exasperation.

High-fructose corn syrup.

"I don't know what that is."

"Corn syrup."

"I still don't quite understand."

"We shouldn't eat unhealthy food, don't you agree?"

Gloria and Gwen walked toward the classroom together, "So I have to hide."

“Okay,” Gwen said thoughtfully, “of course, there’s a deal. You give me half, and I won’t tell the headmaster that you’re hiding those sugary foods in your textbooks.”

"Of course I won't tell him how crazy you are, haha, that you hollowed out a book to hide food."

Gwen and his good friend made a joke.

Glory had a nonchalant expression on her face. "Actually, I'm not afraid of the principal. I'm just influenced by the atmosphere. You don't know how many girls talk about losing weight every day. If I openly eat Taste of the Cake at school, it will cause a lot of gossip and trouble."

Gwen shrugged. "That's a bit distorted. I mean, a girl's health shouldn't be linked to things like dieting."

The two walked to the outside of a classroom, where people were shouting "English teacher!" Their voices were so loud.

The classroom walls were covered with posters of James Joyce and Mark Twain, as well as Stephen King and the Frog Kermit, reminding everyone to read more.

There was a pyramid on the blackboard labeled "Fletk Triangle".

On the table sits a wooden desk with artificial bite marks on it, resembling a fake apple.

Hey, Gwen.

Just as the two were about to part ways, Glory suddenly stopped and said hesitantly, "I don't think school is the right place for you."

"what?"

Gwen didn't quite understand why her friend said that.

"You mean I should attend more band rehearsals?"

"No, of course not, come with me."

Gloria pulled her along to a storage room and then they sat behind a table.

She then used a small key to open the drawer and pulled out a two-seater Victorian-style desk.

A bottle of GenZhi soda was hidden in the desk.

Glory took out a soft drink and a red plastic cup.

She separated the cup, turning one into two.

She tossed them onto the table, filled both glasses, and handed one to Gwen.

"This is my secret base, a place only I know about. I have the key to it."

Gwen took the glass in surprise, took a sip, and said, "Well, you're making me feel like we're drinking secretly, Gloria."

“Actually, I’m not a wine lover. People always say that you can taste some things in wine, like chocolate, pipe tobacco, fig, grass clippings, and the sweat of a nine-year-old Cuban boy who drifted at sea for two weeks on a raft made of banana crates. But I can only ever taste the flavor of ‘Angry Grapes’.”

Gwen started thinking about wine again.

Glory picked up his glass. "Gernough and wine are the same. They both taste good, delicious, and slightly acidic, just right."

"Alright, let's get down to business."

After taking a big gulp of Grindelwald soda, Gloria said, “I don’t think you should waste your time at school. Don’t look at me like that, Gwen. I know you’re an extraordinary girl, the kind of girl who will become a hero.”

Glory gave a wry smile. "I sensed it after that Bear Mountain car accident."

“I’m sorry,” Gwen said.

She didn't know what else to say besides that sentence.

She knew Gloria and that she might have long suspected her Spider-Woman identity.

The two had maintained this tacit understanding, and she never expected Gloria to say it now.

"Don't do that, okay? You should feel sorry, but only for lying to me."

Gloria chuckled and shook her head. "I already knew why you were so busy. You don't have to work so hard, Gwen."
