Manshu stepped forward and patted Fujimaru Ritsuka on the shoulder, taking the blame upon himself.
"You continue moving the grain, don't let these fools in the city throw you into chaos. Leave the rest to me."
"Please!"
Upon hearing Manju's words, Fujimaru Ritsuka immediately breathed a sigh of relief and unconditionally placed her trust in him.
"Hmm." 2
Manju nodded, his figure disappearing from their sight. He mounted his two-horned horse and galloped off in the direction the killing hunters had come from.
"This two-horned horse is utterly useless."3
As soon as Manju pressed down on his mount, the horse nearly collapsed, unable to withstand the strain.
"The Bahram created by Ahura, for the third time, transforms into a white steed with golden ears and a golden bridle, galloping towards Zoroaster."
Immediately, Manjushri opened his mouth and recited verses from the Avesta, calling upon the white horse, one of Bahram's ten incarnations, demanding that the gleaming steed appear on the two-horned horse beneath him. (Noon)
Following Manjus's call, a ray of sunlight pierced through the wind and snow and fell from the sky.
The sunlight transformed into a pure white steed, which flew through the air and collided head-on with Manju, merging into the horned horse beneath Manju's mount.
The ordinary two-horned horse instantly transformed into a magnificent and awe-inspiring divine steed, radiating a halo like the sun, and melting the ice and snow with its footsteps.
"A hostile reaction. They are rebels who defy the Tsar's authority. Leave no survivors, devour them all, leave no survivors, bury their corpses in the dust."
When Manju appeared before the Killer Hunters riding a white horse radiating a halo, the Killer Hunters naturally assumed that Manju was an enemy.
If an unfamiliar Servant appears here, what other identity could they have if they are not rebels against the Tsar's rule?
"A very good slogan, so I will grant you this ending. Come, not the wind I control, but Bahram created by Ahuram, for the first time transformed into a powerful gale created by Mazda, blowing towards Zoroaster."
Manju spoke again, this time invoking Bahram's first incarnation.
The already biting winds sweeping across the land were instantly transformed by magic into an even more terrifying gale, capable of tearing apart any enemy standing in the way of the Emperor.
The terrible storm howled in, blowing towards Manjustra's front and scattering the charging killing hunters. Hiss
However, these killing hunters seemed more tenacious than the last ones I'd seen; they appeared to have been newly created and dispatched from Moscow.
They seemed to have retained some strength, unlike the previously stationed killing hunters who had severely degenerated.
But this only allowed them to put up a slight resistance. Manju, commanding the storm and riding his white horse, moved back and forth among the surviving killing hunters.
The two-horned horse, imbued with Bahram's spirit, had become a ferocious beast capable of easily killing; merely approaching it could cause a burning sensation. (Save...)
Once hostility is unleashed, the burning sensation transforms into a real flame, directly igniting the body.
Between fire and wind, the newly arrived killing hunters were utterly scattered and crushed.
Manshu didn't even use all his strength to kill all the newly dispatched troops. Instead, he spent some time observing these killing hunters more closely.
However, the result was not very meaningful, as it did not seem to reveal the owner of this treasure.
Moreover, killing them all wouldn't be a good idea. The troops that were just sent in were completely wiped out, which probably means it was an operation to alert the enemy.
Manshu probably only killed about a third to half of them; the rest were just injured and buried in the snow by the gale.
Once the rebels in Smolensk had gradually withdrawn, Manshu abandoned the group of killing hunters and turned back.
"That kid Patzhi left on his own?"
Manjusaka was somewhat surprised to hear the news upon returning. Patzshi, as the first Yaga encountered by Chaldea, behaved quite differently from the usual Yaga.
If it weren't for this, it would have been impossible to reach a deal with Chaldea in the beginning, but unexpectedly, he suddenly left alone at this time.
“Partings are always inevitable on a journey. Although Patsch may seem to be going with the flow, he is indeed able to make choices based on his own will. Even though he is often confused, since it is his choice, we can only respect it.”
This is just a minor episode in the story; all the actions are still proceeding normally and nothing will change because of it.
The food in the city was transported back to the fortress by the rebels, where it was sorted and distributed.
Everything is proceeding in an orderly manner and looks quite promising.
Atalanta gathered important intelligence in Smolensk and, after making arrangements for important matters, came to Chaldea.
"There's something I'm sorry about, because you've only just returned... and you already have another mission."
Atalanta was somewhat embarrassed about this, but she still couldn't avoid mentioning it, just like this operation.
"I may have mentioned this before, the group of people who parted ways with the rebels, or who came on their own and then broke away."
They stormed into Tula, replaced the authorities, and appeared to have taken actual control of the town.
Although they haven't acted recklessly enough to anger Ivan the Terrible, unfortunately, the court magicians have already noticed and dispatched Servants and Slaughter Hunters, plunging the entire town into chaos.
However, the location is a bit far, and a large-scale troop deployment would be detected.
"So, we're going to Tula next?"
Manshu didn't mind such a task, after all, it wasn't as boring as distributing proclamations.
"I'll go this time too, since it involves fighting Servants."
Billy, who seemed interested in this as well, spoke up.
"By the way, Atalanta, do you know who the Servant was sent?"
"Well, after all, he gave his name openly. His name is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart."
"Why……!?"
"Amadeus...?"
The name is indeed quite impactful, after all, the other party doesn't seem like someone who would side with the Tsar.
Even in the First Singularity, Mozart, as a member of the Demon Pillar family, did not betray the Demon Pillar, but instead kept Andusias in check.
Chapter Seven: Servant
After a short rest overnight, the group immediately resumed their journey, heading towards Tula, a city located north of Moscow.
Before the group departed, Atalanta asked them to send out a proclamation if they were on their way.
From the rebel stronghold to Tula, which is roughly diagonally across the Russian outlaws' territory, there was indeed time to deliver some manifestos.
(9) Anyway, they would just help distribute the supplies when they encountered villages along the way. Based on the attitudes they had seen before, as long as the villages were not completely unconcerned about their survival, the Yaga people were not so tolerant of the Tsar's rule.
(iv) Smolensk was able to accept the Tsar's rule because of their favorable geographical environment. They had fixed hunting grounds that ensured they had enough to eat and wear, and even had a surplus after paying the Tsar's taxes.
There's not much to say about Lin's journey through the Russian Lostbelt; the only things along the way are snow-covered landscapes and monsters emerging from them.
(iv) The only thing that might be somewhat amusing is the largest magical beast living in this land, the Demon Throne.
3. It was an extremely large serpent that could bring terrible hail, but it was only slightly stronger than those roaring beasts and demonic boars.
⑤ After traveling for some time, a village appeared beside the road, and the group went in.
6. "Get out, Servants. Now, get out immediately."
(4) The village chief rebuked the outsiders without any politeness.
"What did you say?"
Although Yaga's attitude wasn't very good, Manshu was used to it and simply used his magic to knock all the Yaga standing around him to the ground.
"You non-old species monsters, if you really want anything, then take my life!"
But this time was different; Yaga, who was overwhelmed, did not succumb to the power.
Are you all so afraid of Ivan the Terrible?
Billy asked in confusion, "Normally, even if they would resist us, they wouldn't risk their lives like this."
The fact that the Yaga, creatures that subservient to the strong, still do not yield upon encountering power can only mean that what they subservient to at this moment is always stronger than the few people they currently see.
The village chief struggled to raise his head and asked:
Do your maps have markers for nearby villages?
Seeing that the other party could communicate normally, Manshu closed his demonic eye, and Fujimaru Ritsuka took out a map and handed it to Yaga, who was getting up from the ground in a disheveled state.
“You will understand once you go here, and you will understand what the great emperor’s warning is all about.”
The village chief pointed to a village marked between here and Tula on the map and whispered:
"As long as that 'si' still exists, any act of disobeying that 'big 4' will absolutely not be allowed."
"It seems we should go and check out that so-called Tsarist warning before spreading the proclamation. Apparently, there are many villages nearby, and things have changed quite a bit since then."
"Understood, let's go."
The others had no objection to this, and they left the village, heading towards the marked location.
"It is truly an astonishing sight, as if a natural disaster or a divine punishment from heaven has wiped this place away."
When they arrived at the location marked on the map as a warning from the Tsar, they were met with a completely destroyed village.
"What...is this?"
"Earthquake...tornado?"
"It wasn't a natural disaster; all the buildings here were crushed from top to bottom. It must have been a tremendous force that fell from the sky, like the Lion King's divine judgment, crushing this village."
Manshu wasn't too shocked by the sight. After his initial reaction, he immediately began to carefully observe what had happened.
"It seems that's true. The houses were completely crushed, and the impact hasn't even dissipated yet, leaving a huge crater on the ground. It looks like a meteorite fell here."
"It must be a Noble Phantasm possessed by Ivan the Terrible. It launched a sudden attack from Moscow, instantly wiping out the village and all life within it."
Such an attack was indeed enough to deter the nearby villages from even considering resistance. After all, how could they possibly resist a force capable of annihilating them instantly from such a distance?
As a result, this place will naturally fall into a situation similar to that of the Sixth Singularity.
People either flee to desperate places where they cannot survive, or they have no choice but to submit.
But even in dire circumstances where survival is impossible, one can find refuge because there is someone who can confront the person who launched such an attack.
When the balance was broken and the Lion King decided to launch an attack on Osmandis, the Mountain People were still not spared from being wiped out first.
"It seems that spreading the manifesto here is not an option. Let's head straight for the town where the target is located. Let's meet the follower who calls himself Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart."
Without seeing the scene here, no one thought the proclamation could still be sent out, so they stopped wasting time and headed straight for Tula.
After a little time, the group arrived in Tula without incident. The city didn't show many signs of damage, so it seemed that although there had been some trouble, it wasn't too serious.
After some disguise, the group entered the city, but at this point, a rather serious problem arose before them.
