At worst, we can just have Dolly change her wand!
"Hello, is this where new students at Hogwarts buy their wands?"
Just as Ollivander was pondering all of this, a female voice came from inside.
Ollivander looked up and saw a girl with brown hair, but her hair was messy.
A pair of bright, piercing eyes, a fearless voice, and even a hint of excessive pride.
All of this shows that the little girl who came was completely different in personality from Dolly who had just arrived.
"Welcome, miss. How may I help you?"
"According to my Hogwarts acceptance letter, I should buy a wand, but everyone on the street says you're the best wandmaker?"
Ollivander grinned and said, "That's true."
"Very good, so how should I choose a wand? Do these open boxes mean that customers can try them out themselves?"
"Oh no, no, miss, it is the wand that chooses the wizard, not the wizard that chooses the wand."
Ollivander quickly stopped Hermione from reaching for her wand and then began to scrutinize her figure.
At the same time, as if telling a story, he casually said, "Not everyone is as favored by wands as the young lady just now. For ordinary people, having a suitable wand is already a lucky thing."
These words, though spoken unintentionally, were taken to heart by Hermione, who immediately thought of the girl's back view from earlier.
At this moment, Hermione was still a proud top student, and her competitive spirit rose instantly. She asked, "Was it that blonde girl from earlier? Who is she? Is she very powerful?"
"She is Miss Dursley, and you will meet her soon at the freshman orientation."
Ollivander did not hide Dolly's surname, just as he said, the two of them would be classmates in a while, so there was no need to hide it.
They might even end up in the same college and live in the same dorm room.
"She's a Muggle like you, but she's also a smart and intelligent girl. I think you'll become good friends."
"Okay, I've remembered the name."
Hermione nodded, seemingly intending to befriend Dolly, but in her heart she was actually thinking of having a showdown with Dolly.
After all, they are both Muggle-born girls. She can't beat the wizard who has lived here since childhood, but beating Dolly shouldn't be a problem, right?
This is Hermione.
Pride was merely a protective shield for her; the true feelings she harbored were the inferiority and insecurity of being a Muggle.
While Hermione was memorizing Dolly's name, Dolly and a few others had already arrived at the Leaky Cauldron.
Aside from the wand, the remaining supplies consisted of textbooks and daily necessities.
Aside from the robes, which needed to be custom-made, everyone else wore the same robes.
The relevant stores had already prepared the sets; Dolly and Harry could simply go there, pay, take the items, and leave.
As for the idea of continuing to wander around, they did have it, but Hagrid, who was accompanying them, still needed to return to Hogwarts to feed the magical creatures in the Forbidden Forest.
Therefore, Hagrid had to take his leave, but before he did, he wanted to treat everyone to a drink at the Leaky Cauldron.
Even Harry could tell that Hagrid had something to say.
However, everyone waited for a long time, and they were almost full, but Hagrid still showed no intention of speaking.
Finally, Dolly said, "Hagrid, could you please take care of these fluffy things for us in a bit?"
"Oh, of course."
Hagrid snapped out of his daze and, seeing Vernon already packing his things, quickly said, "Harry and Dolly, there's something I want to remind you of."
Seeing the two men approaching, Hagrid said, "I hope you understand that not all wizards are good people."
"Of course, in this pub and Diagon Alley, and in Hogwarts, the vast majority of wizards are good people."
"But don't let your guard down around wizards, just like..."
Finally, Hagrid looked at Harry, but the name that was on the tip of his tongue was hard to say.
Chapter 23, the third update: a gift for Hermione.
It's not that Hagrid was afraid of Voldemort.
Rather, Voldemort had placed a curse on his name, so that anyone who uttered Voldemort's name might be detected by him.
Even though everyone now believes Voldemort is dead, it has become a consensus that Voldemort's name cannot be mentioned.
But Hagrid was a half-giant, and his resistance to magic was formidable.
In the end, he overcame his psychological trauma and uttered the name: "Voldemort."
Hagrid then recounted to Harry the general process by which Voldemort and the Death Eaters killed his parents.
Vernon and Penny, who were listening nearby, were terrified. Penny even covered her mouth and her face was covered in tears.
She reconciled with Lily in her heart and officially accepted Harry now.
Upon hearing the story of Lily's selfless sacrifice to protect Harry and the miracle she created, the emotions that had been suppressed for over a decade finally burst forth.
Even Vernon's eyes welled up with tears, grieving for his wife.
Of course, even now, Vernon couldn't possibly miss Harry's father.
"That's why you have a lightning bolt-shaped scar on your forehead. You're the only one who survived that curse, which is why you're known as the boy who miraculously survived."
Harry reached out and touched the scar on his forehead, but he didn't feel the grief one might expect.
He has virtually no memory of his parents, and he now has his own family.
He cared more about the person who killed his parents.
"So what about Voldemort? Is he dead? Will he come back to kill me?"
"Many people say he's dead, and the Ministry of Magic says so too."
Hagrid then gave a disdainful look and said, "But I think he's still alive. Voldemort isn't so easy to kill."
“If he really dies, Dumbledore won’t let you live in your… sister’s house. We can take you in and take care of you.”
Seeing the strange looks from Vernon and Penny, Hagrid knew he had almost said the wrong thing again.
After spending the day together, he realized that the Dursleys were now the most important people in Harry's heart.
He was at best a friend, and by using that friend's name to slander Harry's family, he naturally became disliked.
Hagrid understood this principle.
Hagrid quickly said, "After all, you are a wizard, and you would have a more suitable childhood living with us."
That makes perfect sense, and even Vernon nodded unconsciously.
Harry's magical outbursts caused him a lot of trouble, but if he had grown up in the wizarding world, he could have learned to control his magic from a young age.
"As for when he will come back... maybe soon, or maybe never."
"But Harry, you're the one who dealt him a heavy blow, so don't be surprised by your fame in the future."
Hagrid patted Harry heavily on the shoulder, bestowing upon him honor and courage.
Hagrid originally intended to use this method to boost Harry's confidence, but now, because of Harry's changed circumstances, these words have become purely a reminder for Harry to be careful.
But that's fine too; at least Hagrid feels he's accomplished his mission.
"Thank you, Hagrid."
"You're welcome, Harry. You can come find me at the cabin by the Forbidden Forest after school starts; I'll be there every day."
Hagrid and Harry shared a heartfelt hug, although it was a bit of a hassle for him to hug Harry given his size.
As for Dolly, he only shook hands politely, although Dolly could only hold two of his fingers.
"He's still a good person, isn't he?"
After Hagrid left, Harry instinctively spoke well of him.
He could tell that Dolly and Hagrid were still a long way from becoming friends.
Dolly shrugged and said, "He is indeed very friendly and kind, but he is destined not to be an ordinary human being, so it will be a little difficult to get along with him."
Dolly chose to remain neutral.
After all, she didn't want to go to Hagrid's hut in the future to help him deal with the Bombtails; she'd leave that kind of work to the tough-skinned Harry and Ron.
As for the fact that Hagrid's eight-eyed spider almost killed Harry, Dolly hasn't mentioned it yet, since such a thing might not happen in this timeline.
"Not an ordinary human?"
Harry didn't quite understand, but a voice came from afar.
"I think he must have giant blood. I just flipped through the textbook 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' and happened to come across this section."
The newcomer had messy hair but spoke in an arrogant tone, which made Harry frown immediately.
When Dolly saw who it was, her eyes lit up.
How could it be Hermione?
Dolly doesn't remember Harry meeting Hermione in Diagon Alley... Oh right, and today isn't July 31st.
In the original book, it was on Harry's birthday that Hagrid brought Harry to Diagon Alley, where they encountered Professor Quirrell, the villain from the first book, in a pub.
It makes perfect sense that Dolly and her group didn't encounter Professor Quirrell this time, but instead ran into Hermione.
Who are you? Do we know you?
Harry spoke, his tone somewhat unfriendly.
After all, Hermione's tone was too proud, and she was still talking about Hagrid, her first friend outside of her family.
"I'm just stating the facts; his height is clearly not that of an ordinary person."
Hermione raised an eyebrow, showing no sign of backing down because of Harry's tone.
After all, she wasn't there to see Harry.
She then went to Dolly's side and reached out her hand to her.
“I thought you were gone… Let me introduce myself, I’m Hermione Granger, a Hogwarts freshman from a Muggle family, just like you.”
