"Really? That's good." Frillie looked at the undisguised smile on Shichen's face and nodded.
Aren't you going to ask me how I acquired magic?
"No need, as long as you have magic, that's enough."
Frillie remembered the envious and forlorn expression on Shichen's face when he couldn't learn magic before, a stark contrast to his current smugness.
"I'm really strong now~ Aren't you curious?"
"I'm not curious, I'm hungry. Go and make me something delicious."
Frillie could naturally sense that the magical power contained within Shichen was far greater than hers, and she was definitely no match for him, but there was no need to compare, since she and he were not enemies.
"Damn it, am I not as tempting as food for you?" Shi Chen angrily reached out and rubbed his smooth face.
She was petite and delicate, with incredibly smooth skin. His hands easily covered her face, leaving only her eyes, nose, and mouth exposed.
Frillie ignored his wicked hands, calmly watching him until he rubbed her a few times, then asked, "Can you go make me something to eat now? Didn't you say you were going to make a big feast?"
"Alright, alright." Shi Chen reluctantly released her face, smiled at her, and walked towards the bungalow.
"By the way, is Master here?"
"She went out this morning."
"So, is she coming back today?"
"Come back, you've been with me lately."
"I understand, then I'll make a little more."
"Wait, there are no ingredients in the kitchen."
"Hmm?" Shi Chen paused and turned to look at her.
Frillie looked at him quietly as well.
"Then... what should I do?"
"That's a question for you to answer, or are you trying to lie to me?"
"Haha~ Just kidding, finding some ingredients isn't that hard."
Shi Chen walked back to her and said smugly, "I've got something good to show you."
After saying that, Shi Chen snapped his fingers, and immediately a magic circle appeared behind him. The magic circle slowly approached him and then engulfed him.
"I will be right back."
Along with the minor incident involving the magic circle, Shichen also disappeared, leaving only a single sentence behind.
For once, Frillie showed a look of surprise, staring blankly at the spot where Shichen had been standing. This was magic she didn't know, magic she had never seen before, magic she didn't understand.
Magic is truly incredible, so incredible that it makes people love it so much.
Frillie chuckled softly, amazed by the magic and by the fact that time truly possessed magic.

Shichen returned shortly after, carrying something quite extraordinary.
An animal that resembled a cow but wasn't quite a cow, at least three or four times his size, and most importantly, still alive, with grass in its mouth.
It was obvious that he caught them while they were grazing.
Besides the animal, there were also several kinds of vegetables that he used as ingredients.
Eating only meat can be a bit monotonous; you can't do it without vegetables.
"How about we eat this today?" Shichen patted the cow's head and asked Frilian.
Frillie glanced at the cow-like creature that was still nonchalantly chewing on grass and asked curiously, "Where did you catch it?"
"It's over there in the forest."
"This thing is so big, how are we going to finish eating it?"
"It's okay, we can eat it slowly if we can't finish it. We can save it for later and make meat soup tomorrow morning."
"Whatever you want, it's not my job anyway."
"Alright, then I'll take him to be slaughtered."
"Stay away, don't let the blood splatter around. I don't like the smell of blood."
"it is good."
Shichen left with the animal that resembled a cow but wasn't, and returned almost half an hour later.
However, the animal had already been dismembered into several pieces: limbs, head, and five equal parts of the body. It had also been roasted, and the meat was an enticing reddish-brown color, emitting a faint aroma.
He was perfectly clean, without a single trace of blood on him.
It wasn't that he drank it; he wouldn't drink animal blood, he wouldn't even consider it, unless it was a beast-eared girl, then he might be a little interested.
Frilian lost all interest in cultivation; in fact, ever since she returned at the appointed time, she had been unable to enter a meditative state.
"What are you going to do?" Frillie came up to him, sniffing the air, and asked, barely suppressing the urge to swallow.
"How about grilling them? The leg and ribs can be grilled directly, just sprinkle some seasoning on them."
"More barbecue? I'm an elf, eating barbecue every day... and can we even finish it all?" Frilian sighed, her cute, thick eyebrows furrowing.
"Well, there's no other way but to bake it. There aren't any other cooking methods, and the seasonings are so limited."
"Fine, do whatever you want." Frilian gave up.
"I wanted to cook something delicious for you in other ways, but unfortunately I forgot to bring some seasonings. I'll let you taste real food another time."
"What are you talking about?" Frillie asked, somewhat confused.
"Don't worry about it, I'll start grilling the meat."
Without explaining the time, he put most of the meat into the kitchen and started grilling it.
He didn't even use wood to start a fire; he simply controlled the meat to float in the air and then tossed a handful of golden flames onto it.
Amazingly, the golden flames seemed to have a mind of their own, completely enveloping the flesh without the flames moving.
Frillie watched this scene with curiosity, slowly walked to his side, and asked, "Is this flame also your magic?"
"Not this one."
This is the ability of his familiar, and he can borrow its power.
Why are flames golden?
"Because it is the sacred fire."
"Can't understand."
"It's okay if you don't understand. Just know that you'll be able to eat meat soon."
Using sacred fire to roast meat is a bit of a luxury, after all, this is no ordinary flame; it carries the breath of life and can burn away filth and evil.
But the purpose of ability is to make things convenient. Normally, grilling meat takes a long time, but with Sacred Fire, ten minutes is enough.
The aroma of meat began to fill the air, and the meat itself shone with a golden luster.
Frillie smelled the fragrance and finally couldn't help but swallow, her throat moving.
Gudong~
The sound was clearly audible, and Shi Chen looked at her with amusement.
"What are you looking at?" Frilian glanced at him sideways, looking unusually embarrassed.
Shi Chen smiled and shook his head: "It's nothing."
"Hurry up and bake it!"
"Good~"
The two stopped talking and watched the meat in the air gradually cook.
Ten minutes passed quickly, but just then, a mature voice with a hint of sarcasm came from behind.
"Oh~ what's with this smell? Frilian, you've finally learned to cook for yourself?"
Shi Chen looked toward the source of the sound and saw Vlamé, who looked much the same as when they first met. He waved excitedly.
"master!"
"Shichen, you're back." Fulame slowly walked to Shichen's side, looking at him with a gentle smile.
"Well, I'm back!"
"It's good that you're back, and your magic... it's amazing." Vlame couldn't help but exclaim, "I actually felt my master's aura from you."
"Master's master?" Shi Chen asked knowingly.
"Yes, she is a very powerful being, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say she's the strongest. She's an elf, just like Frilian," Vlame said with a smile.
"Oh." Frilian wasn't interested; her eyes were only on the roasted meat in the air.
"Hehe~" Vlame didn't mind. Following the aroma, she looked at the roasting meat in the air: "That flame?"
“The power of time,” Frilian explained.
"Really? Very good." Vlame patted Shichen on the shoulder in praise, as she could naturally sense the terrifying power contained within the flames.
"You flatter me, Master," Shi Chen replied shyly.
Vlamé gazed at the golden flames in the sky, her eyes reflecting the golden light, and said without blinking, "I knew you were extraordinary, but I didn't expect you to have such abilities."
"Master, please don't praise me anymore, I'm going to get arrogant."
"Haha, okay, enough praising. Let's eat first, I'm hungry too."
"Alright, let Master taste my cooking." Shi Chen withdrew the golden flames and, controlling the food, walked towards the bungalow first.
Frilian and Vlame followed him, one on each side.
"Hasn't that said a bit too much?" After sitting down at the table, Vlame looked at the table full of roasted meat and belatedly realized.
"It's alright, Frilian will definitely be able to finish it," Shichen said with a smile, sitting opposite her.
