"That's not right of you. Just because I'm in a pirate crew doesn't mean I'm necessarily a pirate, does it?"
A sly glint flashed in his eyes, as if he were deliberately teasing Smoker.
Smoker frowned, his gaze fixed on Fanny, a hint of suspicion in his voice.
"Then tell me, what are you? An undercover agent?"
He simply couldn't understand what this guy who suddenly appeared was up to.
"As expected of Professor Zephyr's student, he's got a sharp mind."
Fanny smiled and gave a thumbs-up, expressing his appreciation for Smoker's guess.
"Are you just playing around?"
"Fine, I'm going all out today. It's either me or you!"
Upon hearing that his most respected teacher had been mentioned by a pirate, Smoker was thoroughly enraged by Vannie's attitude.
He took a sudden step forward, and the power of his Smoke-Smoke Fruit began to surge within him.
The whole person seemed to be shrouded in a layer of black smoke, exuding a powerful sense of oppression.
"Don't be so negative, senior."
Van Nistelrooy continued speaking at his own unhurried pace, his smile unchanged.
"Who's your senior brother, you despicable pirate!"
Smoker roared angrily, his body trembling slightly with rage.
Seeing this, Fanny put away his smile and said in a serious tone.
"Let me reintroduce myself. My name is Fanny, a Saint Seiya searching for the Thousand Silks, and the last disciple of Master Zephyr."
"Don't give me that nonsense. Professor Zephyr hasn't taught classes for several years."
Smoker didn't believe Fanny's words at all; in his view, it was nothing more than a lie that Fanny had made up to buy time.
Fanny shook his head helplessly and said.
“My class is a one-on-one intensive course, and I’m the only one here. If you don’t believe me, you can call Teacher Zefa.”
A hint of confidence shone in his eyes, as if he had expected Smoker to react this way.
"Fine, you wait. If you try to lie to me, I'll fight you to the death!"
Smoker pulled a Den Den Mushi from his waist and pressed the dial button hard.
The Den Den Mushi emitted a sound that echoed "Brubrubru, brubrubru, brubrubru..." across the vast desert.
However, after a long while, there was still no response from the other end of the phone.
"Hey, why don't you try mine? Mine is the latest 188promix, it can do video calls."
Fanny took a strangely shaped Den Den Mushi from his pocket and handed it to Smoker.
Smoker hesitated for a moment, then took the Den Den Mushi and redialed Zephyr's number.
After a while, Zephyr's image appeared on the Den Den Mushi screen.
Zefa still had that serious look on his face, with the marks of time, but his eyes revealed a sense of authority.
"Hey, Fanny, huh? Wait, what are you doing hanging out with that good-for-nothing Smoker?"
Zephyr's voice came through the Den Den Mushi, tinged with surprise and displeasure.
“Um… Professor Zephyr…”
Smoker's voice trembled slightly, and his previous arrogance vanished instantly, like a child who had done something wrong.
"Shut up! How dare you call me your teacher? Why don't you just say you're my teacher?"
Zefa's tone was very stern.
"You've grown quite capable, haven't you? Have you practiced the Six Powers of the Navy? Have you mastered Armament Haki? Do you understand Observation Haki?"
"No, not yet."
Smoker kept his head down and spoke so softly that it was almost inaudible.
"You haven't started practicing yet? Wait till I tell you? Do you really think you're Borsalino?"
Zefa's voice rose a few decibels, filled with reproach.
"Um, teacher, I'm on a mission, yes, on a mission, right, Fanny?"
Smoker quickly looked at Fanny, hoping he could smooth things over for him.
"Ah, yes, yes."
Van Nistel nodded in agreement.
"Alright, I'll let it go today for Van Nistelrooy's sake."
Zefa's tone softened slightly.
"By the way, Fanny, what did you want to see me about? I'm pretty busy right now, my hands are cramping from counting money."
"It's nothing, it's just that when I discovered the power of activating my cosmos, the curse of the Devil Fruit stopped working."
Then Fanny said.
"What? That's amazing! You damn Smoker, look at him, and then look at yourself!"
Zephyr's voice was filled with surprise and admiration, but he didn't forget to criticize Smoker.
"What does it have to do with me?"
Smoker muttered to himself.
"What does it matter? Why learn bad things instead of good ones? Why learn from Borsalino (Kizaru)? What kind of future can you possibly have?"
"At least Kizaru has some martial arts and swordsmanship skills hidden behind him. What about you? You can only use a broken Jutsu to bully Devil Fruit users."
"By the way, Fanny, how did you find out? You didn't jump into the sea, did you?"
Seeing that Smoker had shrunk into the ground, Zephyr changed the subject and looked at Fanny, asking curiously.
"That's not true."
Fanny replied.
"That's good."
Zefa breathed a sigh of relief.
"I threw Luffy into the sea."
Van Nistel said with a relaxed expression.
"Who?"
A hint of doubt crept into Zefa's voice.
"Monkey D. Luffy is now the Pegasus Saint."
Van Nistel repeated it.
"Only that old bastard Garp went back, otherwise I'd give you a good beating."
Zefa shook his head helplessly.
"Alright, I'm busy here, I'm hanging up."
After saying that, the Den Den Mushi's screen went black.
"Do you believe me now?"
Van Nistel looked at Smoker with a smug smile on his face.
"Zeff's arm?"
Smoker suddenly remembered Zephyr's missing arm, and his mind was filled with doubt.
"Just consider it a gift from the goddess Athena."
"Fanny said mysteriously."
Can you say something I can understand?
Smoker said somewhat impatiently.
"Senior Smoker, do you want some credit?"
Fanny changed the subject, a sly smile appearing on his face.
"The Straw Hat Kid wouldn't let me catch him, so how can I claim credit?"
Smoker said irritably.
"What if I asked you to capture one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea?"
Fanny's eyes gleamed with excitement.
"Let me explain this in detail."
Smoker's eyes lit up immediately; his interest had been completely piqued.
He had long been annoyed by these seven unruly pirates, but firstly, headquarters wouldn't allow it, and secondly, he really couldn't defeat them.
"Tell me the location of your warship, and we'll talk on your ship."
Van Nistelrooy said.
"there."
Smoker pointed in a direction in the distance.
"Hold on tight, the experienced driver is about to start!"
As Fanny spoke, he suddenly reached out and grabbed Smoker, then his body instantly transformed into a blur, speeding towards the warship.
"Mist grass!"
Smoker screamed in terror, his eyes still lolling out of their sockets.
He hadn't expected Van Nistelrooy to be so fast, and he was quite startled.
