“That’s one way to understand it,” Sang Biao said. “But our physical bodies are finite; only by receiving more supplies can we continue to…”
"Okay, stop talking, I know what you mean." It's exhausting listening to you talk.
"So, your tribe only has less than a hundred zombies? It seems like there are more than a hundred behind you."
"We can only control a certain number of zombies; I'm behind them all."
"How much can you control?" Yang Yi asked.
"I am the strongest in our tribe. I can control more than ten thousand zombies," Zang Biao said. "So I am the boss!"
"Ten thousand?" Yang Yi was somewhat surprised. "Then wouldn't your people be able to control hundreds of thousands of zombies?"
“That’s how it is in theory,” Sang Biao said.
"Alright, I accept your defection," Yang Yi said. Come on, these are zombies that can dig and place blocks. With a little training, they'll definitely be experts at infrastructure.
"However, I have a few conditions."
“Please speak!” Sang Biao said.
"First, you cannot harm my friends." Yang Yi pointed to the "villa" not far away. "Two of my friends live there, and you absolutely cannot go near it."
“No problem!” Sang Biao said.
"Secondly, you must obey my orders," Yang Yi said. "You must do whatever I tell you to do."
“No problem! Your command is my will,” Sang Biao said.
“Third, you must keep it clean.” Yang Yi pointed to the rotting flesh on Sang Biao’s body. “I don’t want my world to become a garbage dump.”
“This is a bit difficult,” Sang Biao said. “Our bodies are zombies, and they will naturally rot.”
"Then try to keep it as clean as possible!" Yang Yi said. "At least don't let me see too much rotting flesh on you! If it's really necessary, these armors are for you to wear and cover up."
With a wave of his hand, Yang Yi caused a large pile of golden armor to fall in front of him.
“Okay, we’ll try our best,” Sang Biao said.
“Very good.” Yang Yi nodded. “Then, from now on, you are my subordinates.”
"Thank you, Master!" Sang Biao said.
"By the way, what do you usually eat?" Yang Yi asked.
“We can eat anything,” Sang Biao said, “including human food.”
"That's good," Yang Yi said. "I will provide you with food, so you don't need to worry about going hungry."
"Thank you, Master!" Sang Biao said again.
Looking at the zombie in front of him who obeyed his every word, Yang Yi couldn't help but feel a little smug.
"It seems that subduing these intelligent zombies is indeed a good choice," he thought. "With them, I can collect the energy points from the other world much faster."
Chapter 24 Rebuilding the Sky Island
Yang Yi took Sang Biao back to the vicinity of the villa.
Chen Ke and Anna had already come out of the villa. They were standing at the door, looking at Yang Yi and Sang Biao with curiosity.
"Boss, where did you catch this zombie from?" Chen Ke asked, pointing at Sang Biao.
“This is my new subordinate,” Yang Yi said with a smile. “His name is Sang Biao.”
"A subordinate?" Chen Ke's eyes widened. "Boss, are you sure this is a subordinate? Or some kind of monster?"
"Don't worry, he's very obedient," Yang Yi said. "He won't hurt you."
"But he looks so scary!"
"You'll get used to it," Yang Yi said.
"After working so hard, aren't you hungry?" Yang Yi clapped his hands and pulled out a bunch of food from the transfer table: roast chicken, bread, fruit, and even a few bottles of soda.
Chen's mouth was practically watering. He lunged forward, grabbed a chicken leg, and started gnawing on it: "I'm starving! Boss, this is like Doraemon's pocket!"
Anna timidly picked up a piece of bread and ate it in small bites, her eyes full of gratitude.
Yang Yi noticed Sang Biao standing to the side, staring longingly at the meat in their hands.
"Uh... what do you want to eat?" Yang Yi asked tentatively.
"Raw meat, cooked meat, any kind of meat is fine." Sang Biao's voice was hoarse, and he was practically drooling.
Yang Yi's lips twitched. He took out a large amount of raw meat from the transfer table and piled it into a mountain in front of him. "Enough for everyone."
Sang Biao's mouth immediately watered. Although he was extremely eager for the mountain of meat in front of him, in order to leave a good impression on the new boss, he still controlled a large number of zombies to carry away the raw meat and eat it on the side.
"By the way, Sang Biao, I have some 'good stuff' for you here." Yang Yi chuckled, took out a level 6 Karen Energy Crystal from the conversion table and filled it with EMC. "Take this energy and 'generate' a few more underlings."
Sang Biao felt the immense energy emanating from the sphere before him, his eyes practically glowing green, and he nodded repeatedly, "Thank you, Master!"
"From now on, you will take your people to the zombie world to help me farm energy from the other world." Yang Yi paused, then added, "If you encounter any special people, such as those with superpowers or those who are particularly lucky, remember to let me know."
"Understood, Master!" Sang Biao replied excitedly, leading his underlings in a grand procession through the portal.
"Phew, finally some peace and quiet." Yang Yi stretched. "By the way, that monster-spawning tower we built before is useless now, let's tear it down."
He turned to Chen Ke and Anna: "Next, we need to plan this floating island properly. What are your thoughts?"
"I want a big garden!" Chen Ke excitedly raised her hand.
“I want a quiet place to do experiments,” Anna whispered.
"No problem!" Yang Yi waved his hand. "Let's build a super-large floating island first, then create a few smaller islands around it and connect them together!"
Without hesitation, Yang Yi used mud and stones to build a giant floating island covering millions of square meters.
"Wow! This is huge!" Chen Ke exclaimed.
"Hehe, this is just the beginning." Yang Yi smiled smugly and built several smaller islands around the main island, connecting them with huge bridges.
"You two design the terrain of the main island," Yang Yi said to Chen Ke and Anna. "Do whatever you want!"
"As for the house..." Yang Yi rubbed his hands together, ready to make a big splash.
"Boss, stop trying to use your 'artistic talent' and just go to another world and bring over a few nice villas. That way you won't create any more 'outrageous' works." Chen Ke and Anna exchanged a glance and couldn't help but laugh.
Over the next few days, Yang Yi was extremely busy. He first decorated the old rail-painting machine to make it look more natural;
On another floating island, with Yang Yi's manipulation, a vibrant botanical and zoological garden rose from the ground. It contained various plants and animals unique to Minecraft.
Nearby, in a vast farm, golden waves of wheat rippled, and various vegetables and fruits emitted an enticing aroma.
"Hey bro, is this a zoo and a farm?" Chen Ke asked.
"Small-mindedness, that's art! Don't you understand?" Yang Yi rolled his eyes. "This is the obsession of Minecraft Skyblock players!"
Anna really liked it here. She carefully stroked a blooming flower, a happy smile on her face.
Immediately afterwards, Yang Yi led them to another floating island.
The scene takes a sudden turn here, with all sorts of bizarre machines piled up like mountains: towering chimneys, huge gears, and complex pipes, exuding the rugged atmosphere of the industrial age, but without any connection to energy sources—this is what we call "junk."
“These are all things I ‘picked up’ from the zombie world,” Yang Yi said, pointing to the “junk.”
"Although it's not of much use to me, Anna, you can look for something you can use. From now on, this island will be your laboratory."
Chen Ke sighed, "Boss, are you addicted to collecting junk? What's the point of putting these things here except to take up space?"
"You don't understand, this is called industrial aesthetics!" Yang Yi said seriously!
Finally, in a remote corner far from the main island, Yang Yi built a huge glass building.
From the outside, it looks like a giant beehive, with the inside divided into individual small rooms.
"This is my figurine shop."
"A figurine shop?" Chen Ke and Anna exchanged bewildered glances, wondering what Yang Yi was up to now.
Yang Yi led them into one of the rooms. Inside, the walls were covered with a thick layer of soil, and in the corners were piles of construction debris and dilapidated carriages brought from the zombie world, creating an atmosphere of a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
“These are ‘single rooms’ prepared for the zombies,” Yang Yi explained. “I specially arranged them a comfortable home according to their ‘aesthetics’.”
Looking at the room filled with "zombie aesthetics," Chen Ke couldn't help but shudder: "Dude, are you sure this is comfortable? I feel a chill run down my spine..."
“You don’t understand, this is called ambiance!” Yang Yi said, opening a portal to the zombie world and throwing all the zombies he had captured into it.
"From now on, you'll be living here. Don't wander off unless necessary, understand?" Yang Yi said to the zombies.
The zombies seemed to understand Yang Yi's words, and one by one they obediently went into their own "single rooms".
Yang Yi cleared his throat and mysteriously led Chen Ke and Anna to the next room.
Pushing open the door, a cold and damp atmosphere rushed out. The room was dimly lit, with a few pieces of rotten wood and scattered bones piled in the corner, and a faint earthy smell permeated the air.
In the center of the room, a zombie was wandering aimlessly, emitting a low growl. "This is the original stupid zombie's private room," Yang Yi introduced. "I specially prepared a 'luxury tomb style' for him."
Chen Ke's lips twitched: "Boss, are you sure this is luxurious? It looks like a freshly dug grave."
"You don't understand, this is called pristine! Zombies love this kind of dark and damp environment; it's like home for them here," Yang Yi explained.
Then, pointing to the few pieces of rotten wood in the corner, he said, "Look, I've even thoughtfully prepared 'high-class coffins' for them to rest in."
Anna cautiously surveyed the room and asked softly, "What are these bones?"
"Oh, don't be scared, those are beef bones from making beef bone soup. I brought them back from the station to add a touch of horror, which is perfect for zombies." (Definitely not a newbie's.)
Next, they went to the next room. This room was completely different from the zombie room. The floor was covered with white cow bone clubs, several tattered targets hung on the walls, and some arrows and broken bows were piled up in the corner.
A little white cat was leaning against the wall, looking bored, holding a bow and listlessly fiddling with it.
"This is Xiaobai's room. Don't worry, these bones on the ground aren't theirs. They're beef bones that were used to make soup. If you don't believe me, smell them; they even smell good!"
Seeing Anna trembling, Yang Yi quickly explained, even picking up a bone and holding it up to her so she could smell it, but Anna's face only turned paler.
Finally, they arrived at the last room.
Before even entering the door, Chen Ke and Anna felt a suffocating atmosphere wash over them, as if the air itself had become even more gloomy.
The room was pitch black; nothing could be seen except for a hissing sound coming from the corner, which sent chills down one's spine. "This room was prepared for you?" Anna's voice trembled slightly.
"Hehe, here comes the main event, this is Creeper's exclusive 'bomb room'!" Yang Yi smiled mysteriously and turned on the room's lights.
The room was instantly illuminated by a ghastly green light, and Chen Ke and Anna were able to see the entire room. They gasped in shock.
