At this time, the commercial district of Chaidar was sparsely populated, with most people staying at home, waiting for the war to end.
The once beautiful garden fountain is now deserted, with no one having the leisure to stop and admire it.
Except for Harvey, who is completely out of place.
He strolled leisurely through the sparsely populated commercial area, using his mind-capturing ability to extract memories from the tightly closed shop owners.
Searching for traces of Dr. Banner and his group of Earthlings.
The fact that a full 100,000 Earthlings are staying on Chaidar is bound to cause quite a stir.
Harvey discovered that, due to the large number of people, Dr. Banner could only purchase a piece of wasteland in a remote area of the civilian district to settle the 100,000 people he had brought from Earth.
After finding the clue, he decisively teleported away from the commercial area and arrived in a civilian area 7000 kilometers away.
Upon arriving here, Harvey immediately noticed buildings with a distinctly human style.
This is a group of square, temporary prefabricated buildings constructed using some kind of steel plate.
It stands in stark contrast to the diverse architectural styles of the high-rise buildings in the working-class district.
"It seems that Black Egg wants to leave the solar system and immigrate to another planet."
"Judging from these temporary buildings, Dr. Banner probably won't stay on Chaidar for long."
Harvey moved stealthily through the streets of the uniformly built prefabricated houses, continuing to use Legilimency to gather intelligence.
Before long, he found Dr. Banner's residence, a three-story villa built of cement.
As soon as he arrived at the villa's entrance, he saw Dr. Banner, wearing a white shirt with his sleeves rolled up, walking out the door with Clint.
The two were followed by about a dozen special agents and bodyguards.
"We have to get out of here right now, Ronan is after us!" Banner said as he got into an anti-gravity flying car.
"Are you sure that guy named Ronan is after the Tesseract?" Clint asked as he got into the car.
Dr. Banner waved for the driver to start the car and explained:
"Of course, I anticipated that someone might be targeting us when we were selling Rubik's Cube batteries on a large scale."
"So after I made enough money, I bought a report on habitable planets in the Milky Way and a large civilian transport ship."
"The Nova Corps may not be able to withstand the pressure. The high-ranking government officials on Chaidar want to hand us over to Ronan in exchange for our safety."
We need to get out of this galaxy right away!
Upon hearing this, Harvey forcibly invaded Hawkeye Clint's mind and successfully controlled him.
Clint asked casually, "The Tesseract was sent away ahead of schedule, right?"
The anti-gravity vehicle took off and headed towards the surface spaceship docking area on Chaidar.
Dr. Banner said without turning his head, "Yes, it was successfully sent to the Beta Galaxy, more than 20,000 light-years away. There is a habitable planet there that can support 200 billion people."
"That's humanity's new home. By the way, did you send your family there beforehand?"
Harvey fobbed off while simultaneously reviewing Clint's memories.
Clint replied, "Of course, I hope humanity can have a safe home, and war should not affect the innocent."
Dr. Banner became increasingly uneasy as he listened, and his expression changed drastically when he inadvertently noticed that the magic detection light on his wristwatch was red.
"Who...who are you? You're not Clint!"
Harvey, realizing he had been exposed, unleashed a psychic shockwave that stunned everyone on the anti-gravity flying car, which had just ascended to an altitude of two thousand meters.
Watching the anti-gravity flying car fall from the sky, he calmly waited until the car was about to hit the ground before using his telekinesis to create a buffer zone.
The anti-gravity flying car slowly descended. Harvey stepped forward and spent five minutes sorting through the memories in Dr. Banner's and Clint's minds.
With a spatial jump, it disappeared in front of the anti-gravity flying car.
This was a short jump.
Harvey appeared two light-years away from the Chaidar system, a place far from the war and unaffected by interstellar conflict.
He took the Dawn out of his space bag, set the course, and headed towards the Beta Galaxy, more than 2 light-years away.
More than an hour later, after more than two hundred wormhole jumps, Harvey finally arrived in the Beta Galaxy.
The stars in the Beta Galaxy are in their twilight years, with the hydrogen in their cores gradually being depleted and nuclear fusion potentially ceasing at any moment.
Once a beta star enters its red giant phase, its size will increase dramatically, potentially even engulfing the nearest planet.
Hundreds of years ago, the stars in the Beta Galaxy were still in their youth, that is, main sequence stars.
The Beta Star may enter the red giant phase at any time because its energy was overexploited by an advanced civilization.
However, this "at any time" is not necessarily true.
Based on the determination of advanced civilization, there should be about 2000 years left.
Compared to the billions of years of stellar evolution, the fact that it takes 2000 years to enter the next stage is indeed considered "anytime".
For humans with an average lifespan of less than 100 years, the Beta Galaxy is the ideal new home.
Although the number of planets in the entire star system is extremely small, it has been mined by advanced civilizations.
However, there was one planet with an environment similar to Earth that was deliberately preserved by an advanced civilization to be sold to unsuspecting people like humans.
Although all the rare metals on this planet have been mined out, it is now an environment with an extremely unstable food chain.
But for humans, that's enough.
Dr. Banner brought a complete swarm of species from Earth, and with the technology that humanity possesses, it is enough to sustain the planet's food chain for hundreds of years without it collapsing.
Now, this planet has been named "Hope" by the Avengers.
Five thousand people have already reached the surface, using the machinery they brought to build houses and farm.
Harvey had no interest in the fervent human colonization efforts; instead, he piloted his spaceship in search of possible secret bases within this 0.5 light-year-diameter galaxy.
He turned on the Dawn's quantum space detection radar to maximum power, and also released the mind detection function.
Chapter 165 Finally Encountering the Cosmic Cube
According to Dr. Banner's memory, Harvey learned that he hid the Tesseract inside a five-meter-sized miniature meteorite in the Beta Galaxy.
This meteorite orbits the star Beta in a fixed orbit, passing by Hope Star every five hundred Earth days.
Although Harvey knew nothing about astrophysics, he could obtain accurate coordinates simply by writing the meteorite's parameters into the Dawn's computer control system.
[Simulating real-time meteorite trajectory calculations...]
A simulated orbit of the Beta Galaxy was projected in front of Harvey, and the Dawn was flying toward the coordinates of the simulated meteorite.
Ten minutes later, Dawn and a five-meter-sized meteorite remained relatively stationary.
The sealed compartment at the bottom of the Dawn was opened.
A hissing sound rang out!
Through an alloy wall, Harvey skillfully used his telekinesis to drag the meteorite into the sealed chamber.
The outer hatch slowly closed.
The hissing sound rang out again.
Countless air particles filled the sealed chamber.
The inner compartment door opened, and Harvey entered the sealed chamber, crushing the meteorite with his telekinesis and retrieving a gray metal safe hidden in the middle of the meteorite.
"Open the Alaho hole!"
Use the unlocking spell to easily open the safe.
When he saw the cube emitting a blue light placed in the middle of the safe, Harvey felt as happy as if he had eaten honey.
"We followed the clues all the way down half the Milky Way, and finally succeeded!"
Harvey picked up the Tesseract, returned to the cockpit, and set the course back to Earth.
The Dawnship shot into the spatial rift with a whoosh.
After a two-hour wormhole jump, Harvey returned to the familiar solar system.
He took the Cosmic Cube with him, put the Dawn into his space bag, and teleported back to his New York manor.
In the living room on the first floor of the villa, Wanda was watching a soap opera on TV while sitting on the sofa.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Harvey walk into the living room carrying a blue-glowing cube, and asked curiously, "What's this?"
Harvey sat down next to Wanda, a broad smile on his face, and explained while putting his arm around the beautiful woman's shoulder:
"This is the Tesseract, also known as the Space Stone, one of the most precious treasures in the universe. I traveled across half the Milky Way to find it."
Wanda glanced at someone sideways, "You can say whatever you want, but first take your hands out of your collar!"
"Do you think it's pretty?" Harvey pretended not to hear and held the Tesseract in his palm to show it off.
Wanda keenly sensed the terrifying power hidden within this blue cube.
"I feel like I've seen this somewhere before?"
Harvey chuckled as he enjoyed the smooth, warm texture, "Have you forgotten? This thing was the culprit that caused the portal to open during the Battle of New York."
Wanda suddenly realized: "I remember now, the Tesseract was on the rooftop of Stark Tower... Why would it be on the other side of the Milky Way?"
The aroma of steak wafted from the kitchen as Harvey got up to eat dinner and explain everything that had happened that day.
The table was laden with delicious steaks and vegetable salad, and Harvey, his mouth watering, began to enjoy his dinner.
Hermione, Cho Chang, Wanda, and Lorna, who was staying temporarily, also picked up knives and forks to cut up the steak.
Lorna cooked this dinner, and it was really just so-so, but it was still much better than Wanda's disastrous cooking.
At the dinner table, Lorna asked about Professor X's situation.
Cho Chang, who has been in contact with Nick Fury, replied, "It seems that the teachers and students of Xavier's School have all moved to the Avengers Space Headquarters, and they seem to be making some big moves recently."
Harvey took a sip of red wine and continued, "The Avengers plan to relocate some of their elite humans out of the solar system and prepare to migrate to the Beta Galaxy, 3 light-years away!"
Hermione looked on in surprise and asked, "Immigrating to another planet? Does the Avengers have that kind of advanced technology now?"
Harvey replied, "Stark must have bought some large transport ships from Chaidar; he seems to have made a lot of money."
