Mariko explained, "He's not an outsider; he was a distinguished guest invited by my grandfather before his death, Mr. Harvey Ferguson."

"This is my half-brother, Kenichi Harada."

Seeing Mariko still intimately linked arm with this strange man, Kenichi Harada, consumed by jealousy and rage, coldly said:

“Regardless of whether he is a guest or not, no outsiders are allowed to be present today. Mr. Harvey, is that right? Please leave immediately.”

Harvey ignored the other person and walked confidently toward a magnificent coffin placed in the central hall.

Kenichi Harada, feeling ignored, grew even angrier. He beckoned over several bodyguards in black suits, pointed at Harvey, and said:

"Get this outsider out of here right now!"

Mariko and Yukio both knew Harvey's strength and had no intention of stopping him. Instead, they crossed their arms and watched the show.

"Sir, I'm sorry."

Five loyal bodyguards stepped forward and surrounded Harvey, preparing to forcibly take him away.

But Harvey had one thought.

A surge of powerful mental energy erupted instantly, forcefully dispersing the consciousness of the five bodyguards.

"Thump thump!"

After losing consciousness, the five bodyguards fell into a state of brain death, their bodies stiffening and lying straight on the ground.

Inside the main hall, many people who were taking turns to worship the coffin were in an uproar.

Shingen stood beside the coffin to greet each clansman who came forward to pay their respects.

Seeing the chaos in the corner of the hall, he frowned and waved to the bodyguards on either side, signaling them to resolve the issue.

After the smaller ones are dealt with, even more smaller ones appear.

Impatient Harvey cast his newly developed, half-finished spell, Fireball version 1.2.

Use your mental magic to communicate with the fire element.

Within two seconds, fist-sized fireballs condensed in the void and flew towards the dozen or so bodyguards who had surrounded them.

"Bang bang bang!"

The fireball, traveling at nearly twice the speed of sound, struck its target and instantly burst into an even larger flame, burning the bodyguard's entire body to a charred pile within a few breaths.

"Ah! A superhuman? By the Emperor, please don't kill me..."

Inside the main hall, many cowardly relatives of the Yashida family, witnessing this supernatural phenomenon, were terrified and immediately shoved each other out of the hall.

When Shingen saw this scene, a bead of cold sweat appeared on his forehead. He wasn't a savage; he had naturally heard the big news about the Avengers saving the world in the Battle of New York.

He knew that no superhuman was someone an ordinary person could easily mess with.

Shingen immediately humbled himself and bowed respectfully, saying, "I'm sorry, sir, please forgive my mistake."

Kenichi Harada was stunned. He had messed with a tough opponent. Was he going to be killed off easily?

But young people are proud, and it's impossible for him to apologize as humbly as his father, Shingen.

Harada Kenichi slowly retreated, then suddenly turned and ran wildly towards the palace gate.

Harvey originally intended to fire another fireball to send Harada Kenichi to meet his maker.

But Mariko shook her head imperceptibly, stepped forward, and asked Shingen frankly, "Father, is Grandpa really dead?"

"Baka! How dare you talk like that? Do you think I would joke about something like this?"

Having just scolded his daughter, Shingen realized that his tone had been a bit too harsh.

He glanced at Harvey's face and guessed that his daughter probably had some kind of special relationship with this superhuman, which made him feel a little more at ease.

Mariko persisted, "What about Grandpa's will? Why hasn't it been made public? You wouldn't be thinking of secretly altering it, would you?"

"How dare you speak like that?" Shingen's anger was palpable.

Mariko, relying on the powerful backer she had found, laid her cards on the table and said, "Stop talking nonsense and hand over the will, or don't blame me for disowning you as my father!"

Shingen was so enraged that he almost died from his daughter's filial piety.

"You...you scoundrel! Is this your kind of upbringing?"

Harvey found the scene of the father and daughter killing each other quite amusing.

In the struggle for inheritance, once a powerful family breaks ties with another, there's no such thing as family anymore.

After all, the right of inheritance is unique, and anyone who wants to compete for it is a mortal enemy to them.

At this moment, Mariko paid no attention to her father's insults. A mocking glint appeared in her eyes as she said sarcastically:

“Father, don’t think no one has discovered that you’re secretly transferring the group’s funds.”

"Grandpa just died, and you can't wait to plunder things that don't belong to you. You're really filial."

Upon hearing that his secret transfer of group funds had been exposed, Shingen felt somewhat guilty, but outwardly remained firm and said:

"After the death of the former head of the family, I am the only legitimate heir. No one is more qualified than me to be the new head of the family."

"Besides, you're just a woman, and you'll eventually marry someone else. Do you really want to break the rules and steal the inheritance?"

Mariko immediately retorted.

"Whose rule doesn't allow women inheritance rights? Tell me..."

The argument between the two grew louder and louder.

Harvey grew tired of listening and turned to walk out of the hall to get some fresh air.

Yukio remained indifferent, protecting Mariko. She didn't care about their argument; she just wanted to prevent Shingen from making a desperate move.

"Baka, I don't have a daughter like you..."

"Do you think you've been a very responsible father?"

The sound of their argument drifted out of the main hall.

Chapter 100 Undercurrent

Even Harvey, who was outside the door, could hear Mariko and Shingen yelling at each other.

"Power and money can turn a father and daughter against each other. If it were something more important like lifespan or health, no wonder that old man Yashida would go to such lengths to do anything."

I have some thoughts to share.

Just as Harvey was about to enter the main hall to deal with the noisy Xin Xuan, a familiar magical fluctuation appeared.

He looked up in surprise, towards the direction of the Three Gates of Liberation at Zojoji Temple.

Even during the day, the dazzling red light turned half the sky blood red.

The screams and booming sounds coming from afar clearly indicated that a battle was taking place over there.

"Hermione got into a fight?"

Curious Harvey floated up and flew towards the battlefield.

In just a few seconds, he traversed over 500 meters to reach the scene, where he saw Hermione fighting against some ninjas wielding daggers and short blades.

Nearby were Wanda, Cho Chang, and Logan, who was slicing an enemy's throat with his adamant claws.

Hermione's fighting style is relatively traditional. She first creates distance, and then uses offensive spells such as Thunder Explosion, Divine Strike, and Blazing Flames to kill her enemies.

Logan's fighting style is rather brutal; relying on his rapid regeneration ability, he doesn't dodge enemy attacks at all.

They fought desperately, risking injury to save their lives.

Using his superior close-combat skills, he relentlessly slaughtered enemies dressed in ninja outfits.

The extremely cruel scene made Wanda and Cho Chang feel uncomfortable, and the strong smell of blood was nauseating.

There were about a hundred ninjas on the field. Although they outnumbered Hermione and Logan, they did not pose a significant threat.

Within minutes, most of the ninjas had died, and the remaining dozen or so ninjas saw that the situation was hopeless.

More than twenty thumb-sized black beads were thrown out.

"Bang bang bang..."

Hermione thought the enemy had thrown an explosive device similar to a grenade, and was so frightened that she quickly activated her armor for protection.

But after the black bead exploded, thick black mist surged out and quickly spread throughout the entire battlefield, obscuring everyone's vision.

It turns out this was just a smokescreen.

Hermione, relieved, waved her wand.

"Whirlwind Attack!"

A powerful hurricane shot out from the tip of the wand.

It swept all the black mist up into the sky.

Soon, everyone's vision was restored.

Two ninjas could be vaguely seen scaling the ancient blue brick wall at the rear.

Clearly, these ninjas were unable to win and were preparing to retreat.

Seeing this, Harvey had no intention of letting them go. With a thought, thirteen green lights chased after them.

The green light representing Avada Kedavra arrived later.

After accurately hitting each ninja, it silently erased their souls.

"Thump thump thump..."

The dull thud of a heavy object falling meant that the dozen or so ninjas who had tried to escape had all been killed.

"Honey, how did you end up fighting with these Hand ninjas?"

Harvey flew to Hermione and the others.

Hermione pointed at Logan and said, "These enemies were all here to cause him trouble. We just happened to be passing by, so we helped them out."

Logan was now panting heavily, covered in blood, and the ferocity in his eyes was gradually fading.

He looked up at Hermione and said, "Thank you."
