Chapter 5 Xun Yu of the Three Kingdoms
That evening, after having dinner, Xun Yu and Tang Yu returned to their own courtyard and then went to Xun Yu's study.
Xun Yu's request was quite simple: he wanted to paint a picture for her.
Tang Yu would naturally not refuse such a request, but the key question is why Xun Yu blushed?
"Wenruo, have you never painted for anyone else before?"
As Xun Yu arranged his painting tools, he smiled and took Tang Yu's hand.
"I've only ever painted landscapes before, so my paintings may not be able to capture even a fraction of Jiaojiao's beauty. I hope Jiaojiao won't be angry then."
"If you draw it ugly, I will definitely be angry."
Tang Yu chuckled and snorted. Xun Yu noticed the teasing in his tone and clenched his fist and laughed.
"Then you can punish me when the time comes."
"Hmph... I'm afraid you won't be able to handle being punished."
These words instantly made Xun Yu blush. He couldn't help but turn to the side and hug the person next to him, then leaned forward and kissed him.
Seeing the other person blush, Tang Yu's wicked thoughts grew stronger.
She reached out and hooked her arms around his neck, then kissed the side of his neck, where she took his red earlobe into her mouth, and then asked him with a smile.
"Does Wenruo like this kind of punishment?"
Xun Yu's hand, which was wrapped around the slender waist, tightened instantly, and he let out a difficult breath.
"Jiaojiao, may I start painting first?"
"So what kind of scene do you want to paint? I suggest you paint a picture of a beautiful woman sleeping in spring tonight."
These teasing words made Xun Yu clench his fists; Tang Yu loved to tease the other person until they lost control.
After saying this, she turned back and gently kissed her from the side of her neck to her chin, then kissed her little by little upwards until she reached the corner of her lips.
Xun Yu felt like he was about to explode; the woman's sweet fragrance was so enveloping him that it was impossible for him to control himself.
With a burst of effort, Xun Yu had already forgotten what he was supposed to do.
He rolled over and pinned the person next to him down, then embraced their soft body and lowered his head to kiss and nibble at them wantonly.
Seeing the other person lose control, Tang Yu couldn't stop smiling.
Xun Yu looked at his little wife with red eyes, then bit her hard. Tang Yu gasped and cried out.
"Wen...Ruo, aren't you going to...paint anymore?"
The trembling voice made Xun Yu laugh. He buried his head in Tang Yu's soft, fragrant body and kissed her passionately.
"Jiaojiao, I'm a normal man too, I also have fantasies..."
"What kind of...delusion?"
Tang Yu gazed indulgently at the person before her, her hazy eyes filled with alluring charm.
Xun Yu extended his slender fingers and pulled the jade hairpin from Tang Yu's head, causing her long hair to fall out instantly.
Then, Xun Yu leaned close to Tang Yu's ear and spoke in a low voice.
"I was worried that Jiaojiao was too delicate and couldn't handle it, but now it seems that I misunderstood Madam."
Tang Yu instantly showed a surprised expression; those eyes were so beautiful, so alluring, they could drive anyone crazy.
Xun Yu chuckled softly, then leaned close to Ru Yu's ear and began to suckle.
"Jiaojiao enjoys teasing me so much, she must be able to tolerate her husband's unruliness and frivolity."
After saying this, Xun Yu could no longer restrain himself and immediately covered her up, then began to act boldly and recklessly.
After a passionate encounter, Tang Yu's limbs trembled uncontrollably.
Tang Yu couldn't help but blush slightly, not expecting to drive Xun Yu to such a frenzy tonight.
Xun Yu chuckled softly afterward.
"So Jiaojiao likes me this way, it really makes me happy..."
Tang Yu bit the other person directly.
"Don't talk nonsense, it's clearly you who likes it!"
Xun Yu looked at the woman beneath him, her face flushed with desire, her appearance alluring and captivating.
I just felt that my wife's voice was so soft and sweet.
“It doesn’t matter if Jiaojiao doesn’t admit it, but I like Jiaojiao’s passionate and romantic side. Now is the perfect time to paint her.”
As he spoke, Xun Yu picked up a piece of clothing and draped it over Tang Yu's shoulders, then unfolded the painting tools he had just laid out to prepare to paint.
Tang Yu rested her hands on the blanket, then turned to look at the person in front of her with a smile on her face.
"Do you want to paint this and have someone admire it quietly?"
Xun Yu chuckled softly. "You can't possibly show this painting to anyone else, can you?"
"Actually, last night, there were several times when I wanted to paint Jiaojiao."
Tang Yu was amused by the other party's honest words and burst out laughing.
"Wenruo, are you still a gentleman?"
Xun Yu's answer was without the slightest hesitation.
"The act of conjugal relations between husband and wife is a natural and proper thing. If the couple can live in harmony, a little bit of romance in the bedroom can make their love even stronger. Wouldn't that be the icing on the cake?"
These words suddenly reminded Tang Yu of something, and she laughed out loud.
When cultured people describe marital relations, it sounds romantic and charming; but if uncultured people describe it, it might sound vulgar.
"Can Wenruo play the zither?"
Xun Yu nodded as he painted.
“I see that Jiaojiao has calluses on her hands. Does she want to play the zither? I can take my zither out.”
"No, I don't want to play the zither right now. I'd rather play the flute. Husband, go and get it for me..."
Tang Yu told Xun Yu where his musical instruments were, and Xun Yu turned around and went to the next room to get something.
When he came back again, he spoke with some surprise.
"Jiaojiao brought many kinds of musical instruments. I didn't know that Jiaojiao loved music so much."
"Wenruo doesn't like it?"
"Compared to your wife, I wouldn't call this affection."
"It's alright. Wenruo will probably enjoy listening to me play more in the future. I like to play a tune in my spare time. If you are painting today, I will play a tune for you."
Tang Yu took the flute and played a very lively tune.
This is indeed a piece of music she composed herself. It feels as if you are in a mountain spring and a sea of flowers, with a lively and natural feeling.
The musical notes are like a mountain stream, flowing gently through the crevices of rocks, or like a soft breeze caressing delicate flower petals, making them sway gracefully.
Each melody is lively and melodious, making one feel as if they are immersed in the beauty of spring flowers and warm sunshine.
Xun Yu couldn't help but smile as he listened; it was indeed a light and cheerful tune.
It instantly makes one feel as if they are surrounded by the fragrance of flowers and the warm sunshine, and it's as if they can hear the tinkling sound of spring water again.
"Is this piece famous? Who composed it?"
"Let's call it 'Peach Blossoms,' a piece I composed myself. Do you like it?"
Xun Yu showed a look of admiration.
"Jiaojiao's talent in music is truly amazing. This piece is like heavenly music. No wonder Jiaojiao said that she would like to hear your performances more often in the future."
Such moving music is truly captivating, making it difficult to tear oneself away.
Tang Yu beamed with joy at the praise from the person in front of her; who doesn't like being praised?
So she played some more tunes, and the two of them, one painting and the other playing the flute, were quite happy together.
For the next month, Xun Yu took Tang Yu to familiarize herself with the surrounding environment and get to know her family members.
A month later, the two finally decided to return to the Tang family home to visit their son-in-law.
Chapter 6 Xun Yu of the Three Kingdoms
The Tang family lived in Yanxian County, Yingchuan, while the Xun family lived in Yingyin County, Yingchuan. The distance between the two was more than 100 kilometers, and it would take three or four days to travel there by oxcart at a slow pace.
Of course, we had to stop and rest at nearby post stations along the way, which later became inns and, many years later, hotels.
However, the post stations were built by the government and were mainly used for officials to rest. People without status had to pay money to rest when passing through the post stations.
That evening, the group arrived at the inn before dark.
The servants were tidying up the house, while Tang Yu and Xun Yu watched outside the inn as a Taoist priest performed a ritual to save people.
The person dressed as a Taoist priest burned the drawn talisman and put it into the water, then gave it to the person kneeling on the ground to drink.
The person kneeling on the ground was emaciated. He kept recounting his sins and repenting for his past life.
Only after receiving the talisman water did he wear a grateful smile on his face, and then he drank the boiled talisman water in one gulp.
The Taoist priest continued chanting incantations beside him.
Then another group of people knelt down and begged for the talisman water, while many onlookers gathered around.
Tang Yu stared in astonishment for a long time, then dragged Xun Yu to a secluded spot to talk.
"What kind of Taoist sect is that? Such a low-level scam, yet so many people seem to believe it. How is that possible?"
Although ancient times were indeed filled with feudal superstition, I couldn't see anything particularly special about that Taoist priest, yet it seemed that many people believed in his abilities.
