That night, Lü Yao taught the two the Nuwa Scripture. This scripture was moderate and peaceful, unlike the Western Emperor and Hengyu scriptures which could not be passed on indiscriminately, and unlike the Taoist scriptures which were incomplete. It was just right for the two elders.

The next day, Lü Yao went to the Ye family's house in the same neighborhood and met Ye Fan's parents.

Sure enough, Ye's mother was not in good spirits; her hair was disheveled, her face was pale, and she looked rather haggard.

On the contrary, Ye's father, perhaps because of Lu's father's daily persuasion and fishing, was in good spirits, waiting for his son to return.

When Lü Yao appeared, the old couple were startled, but when he brought news of Ye Fan, saying that Ye Fan would return in twenty or thirty years and that he would first lead them on the path of cultivation, the two immediately agreed.

Lu Yao used his primordial magic to nourish Ye Mu, healing her mental trauma. Afterwards, he passed on to the two of them the Nuwa Scripture.

After he left, he didn't see the demon god from the Pang family, but Pang Bo's parents were in good spirits, accompanied by their "son".

He did not show himself. The great demon had no ill intentions and treated the two old people quite well, even guiding them onto the path of cultivation, though the techniques were not very good.

Lu Yao used his Taoist magic to enter their dreams and impart to them an ancient scripture of a demon saint. Pang Bo's bloodline was passed down from the two of them.

Without Yan Ruyu's permission, the Demon Emperor Jiu Zhan was unwilling to spread the teachings indiscriminately; the scriptures of the Great Sage of the Demon Clan were sufficient.

He left, but instead of going home, he went straight to Lingbao Sect.

There are many branches of Taoism, including the Shangqing School, Lingbao School, Taiyi School, Shenxiao School, and Louguan Taoism, among dozens of other schools. All of them have very powerful lineages, and some even trace their origins directly back to the level of the Great Emperor.

Louguan Taoism, one of its schools, is a lineage left by Yin Xi, and it reveres Laozi as its patriarch.

Two thousand years ago, Yin Xi first discovered the God-Slaying Whip, then the Nuwa Cave, and was willing to leave behind divine maps to guide future generations. He was a figure like a patriarch of the human race.

Jiangxi, on the other hand, was the stronghold of the Lingbao School.

The western extension of the Wuyi Mountains stretches for over two hundred miles, with ancient bamboo groves, winding peaks and ridges, and beautiful scenery. This is where Gezao Mountain is located.

Lu Yao came all the way from the north, hiding in the shadows. He saw many Taoist and Buddhist traditions, all in very secluded places. These major religions basically had their own secret grottoes for cultivation, so that they would not be tainted by worldly affairs and could focus on their cultivation.

However, he placed great hopes on the Lingbao Sect of Gezao Mountain, hoping to obtain the Lingbao Sutra there, or at least find out its whereabouts.

Ripples spread through the void as Lü Yao stepped out, stood atop a cloud, and looked down.

Ge Hong, author of "Baopuzi," was a leader of Taoism in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. He was exceptionally talented and mentioned the Nine Secrets in his work.

In reality, his great-uncle Ge Xuan was also a great supernatural being, a quasi-emperor, who received the complete Lingbao inheritance, including the Lingbao main scripture, the Lingbao Salvation Scripture, and the secret of character formation, etc.

He then founded the Lingbao School and passed on the Lingbao Sutra and the secrets of character formation to several disciples.

Ye Fan once encountered the remnant soul of Ge Xuan on Flying Immortal Star. Unfortunately, those Qi cultivators had their true spirits disturbed by the sealed land of Flying Immortal Star and perished there.

Gezao Mountain is shrouded in mist and clouds, with flowing springs and waterfalls, verdant peaks and elegant scenery, and a serene and understated charm.

Because it is located in the south, it is still quite hot even in autumn, but that does not stop the enthusiastic tourists from climbing the steps to appreciate the beautiful mountains and rivers and savor the charm of Taoism.

But this was irrelevant to him. He had come only to meet the leader of the Lingbao Sect, learn about some past events, and then enter the Lingbao Secret Land to see if there were any clues left by Ge Xuan and Ge Hong.

He took a step and disappeared into the clouds. When he reappeared, he was already deep in the mountains of Gezao.

This is a green mountain, with swirling clouds and mist in front of it, which turns out to be a cliff.

But on this cliff, there are many Taoist priests dressed in robes, of varying ages.

"Senior brother, I felt a flash before my eyes, as if something had passed by?" The young Taoist rubbed his eyes and tugged at the sleeve of the old Taoist beside him.

The old Taoist tilted his head, following his gaze, and saw only cliffs shrouded in mist. He chuckled, "Did you skip your cultivation last night and sneak down the mountain to go online? Otherwise, why are your eyes so blurry?"

The young Taoist priest muttered, "You're so old, and you've only just reached the Divine Bridge. When will you be able to attain immortality...?"

He spoke very softly; otherwise, his senior brother would probably have punished him by making him stand facing the wall for a whole month. Not being able to enter an internet cafe for so long would be a real disaster.

Ignoring the chatter of the minor cultivators, Lü Yao appeared directly in a strange environment. White clouds swirled around the area, and several broken mountains stood side by side, creating a vast landscape with numerous Taoist temples on them.

The Taoists outside are all mortals, but the Taoists here all possess cultivation, most of them at the Sea of Wheels Secret Realm, and a few at the Dao Palace.

"Who are you?" a stern voice rang out from behind.

Lü Yao appeared in an unfortunate place; there happened to be a Taoist priest behind him.

The Taoist's eyes blurred, and a young man appeared before him, dressed in strange ancient clothing, clearly not an outer disciple of the Lingbao Sect.

“A seeker of the Dao,” Lü Yao said kindly.

"Fellow Daoist, this is an important area of the Lingbao Sect and is not open to the public. Please leave."

Seeing that Lü Yao could communicate and that his tone was not bad, the Taoist priest knew that Lü Yao was not there to cause trouble, and he breathed a sigh of relief, assuming that he had simply gone to the wrong place.

After all, this is only where the outer disciples are located, and the security is not as strict as in the depths of the secret realm. It is not difficult for some experts to get in.

To everyone's surprise, Lü Yao shook his head and said, "I hope you will inform your sect leader that Lü Yao has come to visit."

"Lü Yao? Never heard of him... Sigh... Where is he?" The Taoist was about to speak when the person in front of him suddenly disappeared. His eyes couldn't keep up with the speed of the other person at all.

"Quickly go and inform the elder, for we do not know whether he is a friend or foe." The Taoist priest rode on auspicious clouds, floated into the air, and headed towards the Taoist temple on Broken Mountain.

When Lü Yao reached the thirty-third step, there were several ancient pine trees on both sides, like coiled dragons, standing tall at the foot of the mountain. It is said that they were planted by Ge Hong himself.

He climbed the steps, which were set up in ancient times to test disciples, but now only the older generation can complete them.

He wasn't interested in the test itself, but rather he didn't want to miss any clues, fearing he might miss the legacy left behind by the sages of Lingbao.

As Lü Yao walked, a golden ear grew from below each of his ears. Unlike human ears, it was covered in golden hair, resembling an ape's ear.

This is the Sage's Listening Technique obtained in the Bright Valley of Qishi Mansion, which allows one to hear the Great Dao of Heaven and Earth.

The two golden ears kept twitching, trying to listen to the imprint of heaven and earth here, but even after Lü Yao climbed the thirty-three steps, he still found nothing.

Lu Yao consoled himself, sighing, "The law should not be passed on lightly; it's normal that we can't find it."

However, several Taoist priests nearby looked as if they had seen a ghost, staring in disbelief.

"Quick...quick...senior master, go and pay your respects..." The person next to them tugged at them, and the other two woke up. The three of them rushed over, their faces flushed, extremely excited.

This person is strolling leisurely up the ladder; he must be a leader of some sect, perhaps invited by someone from within to exchange ideas?

The three of them guessed what was going on in their minds, but their behavior was extremely respectful: "Greetings, senior."

But before Lü Yao could speak, more than a dozen streaks of light flew in from afar, all of them old Taoist priests.

They were somewhat taken aback as they watched Lü Yao standing on the thirty-third step.

"Senior...could we go through it again?" an old Taoist priest asked respectfully.

Lu Yao did not leave. He unleashed his aura, which instantly swept across several broken mountains.

Instantly, the world here was filled with turbulent winds and clouds, and the celestial phenomena changed. Ninety-nine auspicious beasts, including dragons, phoenixes, qilin, white tigers, and black turtles, came stepping through the void. Golden lotuses were born, sweet rain fell from the sky, and spiritual springs gushed from the earth.

Although Lü Yao was not a saint at this time, his abilities were no less than those of a saint. Apart from his saintly power, he was no different from others. A single drop of his blood could destroy the mountains, rivers, and all things here.

With its primordial chaos, the laws of this place obey its commands, making it incredibly easy for it to create strange phenomena.

A dozen or so old Taoist priests, along with many middle-aged and young Taoist priests, trembled all over, struggling to breathe, and knelt on the ground, offering their deepest respects.

Lu Yao withdrew his imposing aura, but the extraordinary phenomena of heaven and earth remained, making this place seem like a sacred fairyland.

"Stand up and answer," Lü Yao's voice rang out.

"Yes!"

A dozen or so old Taoist priests stood up, looking at each other with unease. Such a powerful and mysterious person was unheard of in the world. How could he suddenly descend upon the Lingbao Sect?

Who is the leader?

"The sect leader is in the secret place... Senior's presence is overwhelming, the sect leader, protectors, and supreme elders should arrive soon."

An old Taoist priest stepped forward and respectfully replied.

Sure enough, just as he finished speaking, several people rushed over from the depths and landed in front of Lü Yao.

"I have met you before, senior. I was unaware of your presence and have failed to greet you properly."

Chapter 290 Reopening the Pure Land

"Please, senior, move in. We have some fragrant tea to offer." This old Taoist priest was the current head of the Lingbao School.

Despite his noble status, he was unusually humble at this moment, bowing low and performing a grand ceremony despite his advanced age.

If this were in the Big Dipper constellation, a cultivator with such an aged appearance would surely look up at you and scold you for being too young and ignorant.

However, after witnessing the scene of the heavens and earth changing and all the paths of the divine power subdued, the Lingbao Sect members were willing to submit.

Whether old or young, everyone was deeply moved and stood respectfully by his side.

"Sect Leader, there's no need for such formalities. May I have the honor of visiting the Spirit Treasure Secret Realm?" Lü Yao asked, then added, "I can preach for you fellow practitioners for a month."

The sect leader was overjoyed to hear this.

After the Nine Dragons Pulling the Coffin incident, an old Taoist priest emerged from Longhu Mountain. He was an ancient Dao-slaying king who had survived.

The Lingbao Sect Leader had the good fortune to witness the great battle between the old Taoist priest of Longhu Mountain and the Western cultivators from afar, and knew how terrifying the realm beyond the Dao-Slaying stage was.

To be honest, the old Taoist priest from Longhu Mountain was far less imposing than the senior before him.

The person before me may very well be a master of the art, or even...

Before the Song Dynasty, such a person would be considered a person of great supernatural power, able to preach for a month, which would be an extraordinary blessing.

The Lingbao Sect Leader immediately agreed, excitedly saying, "This junior will now introduce you to every plant and tree in the secret realm."

In fact, these broken mountains are already part of the Lingbao Secret Land, but they are only used for outer disciples to cultivate.

Previously, this was a secluded retreat for retired sect leaders and supreme protectors, and ordinary disciples were not allowed to enter.

Of course, things have changed now. There are no good conditions for cultivation on Earth. Only in secret places can there be an overflow of vital energy. So, in order to ensure the continuity of the lineage, core members can all cultivate in Broken Mountain.

Beside Lü Yao were the Lingbao Sect Leader and three old Taoist priests, all of whom were Four Extremes cultivators and could be considered experts on Earth.

Even on the ancient star of the Big Dipper, some sect leaders of grotto-heavens only have this level of cultivation.

The Lingbao Sect Leader has even taken one foot into the Dragon Transformation realm.

He carefully introduced every plant, tree, flower, and stone to Lü Yao. At each place, Lü Yao would use his listening technique to seek out the ancient sounds of the Dao.

There are traces of the Dao left by ancient powerful beings in the world. Perhaps they are traces of cultivation, perhaps they are traces of preaching, perhaps they are traces of enlightenment. Under the guidance of Lu Yao's secret technique, many lost classics were indeed found.

He didn't hold back, and readily passed it on to the old Taoist priests beside him, causing their white beards to tremble, their faces to flush, and their voices to tremble.

"This is a scripture forged by the sixteenth generation ancestor, and it has actually been completed..." an old Taoist priest lamented. He mainly practiced the methods of this ancestor, but he had been trapped by the incompleteness for a long time.
