Chapter 322 The Battle Ends Abruptly, the Aftermath of the Naval Headquarters

"What a monster! Mr. Garp, how did you raise him?" Aokiji exclaimed sincerely.

He felt like he was facing one of the Four Emperors, a force that even the Navy couldn't handle.

The immortal governor, Kaido of the Beasts!

"It's not over yet!"

Luffy roared, completely ignoring the injuries on his body.

The next moment, an even more terrifying scene unfolded.

The materialized Conqueror's Haki was no longer just a torrent, but rather vaguely coalesced into a blurry humanoid phantom behind him.

Red and black lightning coiled around the phantom and Luffy's real body like a spider web, making his face and figure somewhat blurry in the violent energy.

"You've drained me dry!"

"Stop inhaling! Stop inhaling!"

"Damn it! I xxx..."

Deep within her consciousness, Nika screamed in a voice filled with exasperation and a hint of terror.

She felt her power being frantically drained by Luffy in an almost predatory manner.

He rolled his eyes.

But Luffy couldn't care less about any of that.

He cannot fall here, he cannot be imprisoned in Impel Down.

Our comrades are still missing, how can we fall here!

Aokiji and Garp both wore expressions of unprecedented seriousness.

Luffy's current state is no longer one of fighting, but one of risking his life.

Burn everything you have!

The overwhelming and illogical domineering aura, the eerie drumbeats and phantom images darkened the entire sky.

"Does it really have to come to this?"

Aokiji looked at Garp with a questioning look in his eyes.

If the pressure continues, the likely outcome will not be arrests, but rather the complete collapse of one side.

Garp clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white, his face filled with struggle and hesitation.

The scene he least wanted to face was driving his grandson to the brink of despair.

but,

Just as the atmosphere was about to freeze.

Abruptly,

A tall figure appeared without warning between Luffy and the two powerful Marines, like a ghost.

He was dressed in a black priest's robe and wore a bear-eared hat. He was as big as a mountain and had no expression on his face.

Bartholomew Bear!

"Big Bear?"

Aokiji and Garp were both startled, their movements instinctively halting.

Shouldn't he be on a mission elsewhere, or dealing with other supernovas?

How did they suddenly appear here?

"Report: The primary objective is to eliminate the Straw Hat crew."

Kuma stared at Luffy and slowly said, "Secondary mission, Glutton Bonney, confirmed to be eliminated."

These words acted as the final fuse, instantly igniting Luffy's last remaining rationality.

"What did you do to them?!"

Luffy's eyes snapped open, and he roared like a wild beast, "Kuma!"

The domineering phantom behind him churned violently, and the demonic black blade in his hand hummed, about to slash down at the bear without regard for anything else.

If this strike were to land, its power would be unimaginable.

But after the outburst, reason briefly returned.

Several images and pieces of information flashed through Luffy's mind like lightning.

Bonnie is Big Bear's daughter.

On Thriller Bark, Kuma made a deal with him, exchanging information about Ace for his care of Bonney!

How could Big Bear possibly kill Bonnie when he cares about her so much?

Furthermore, Robin and Vivi had researched information about the Seven Warlords of the Sea and mentioned Kuma's bizarre ability to send people flying.

In an instant, all the clues came together!

Considering the current situation, the companions are all too far apart, Bonnie is on the list, and the bear's abilities...

This is not an erasure.

It is not about saving.

It was Kuma who, using his unique abilities, managed to send all his companions, including Bonney, away from this perilous place, despite the Navy's tight net!

The next thing to do is...

Just as Luffy figured all this out, Kuma leaned down slightly and said in a voice only the two of them could hear:

"Believe me, live on..."

"Hey, Big Bear, what are you doing?!"

Aokiji, who was not far away, seemed to understand something instantly. His expression changed drastically, and a chilling aura erupted from his body once again.

"Don't tell me..."

He hadn't finished speaking!

The bear's enormous, fleshy paw slammed down on Luffy with lightning speed.

There was a soft "pop" sound, like a bubble being popped.

Luffy, along with the terrifying, domineering phantom behind him, vanished without a trace in an instant.

The long and intense battle ended abruptly in this almost absurd scene.

Stopped abruptly.

On the battlefield, only shattered earth, pervasive cold, scattered ice crystals, and deathly silence remained.

"so,"

Kizaru adjusted his askew sunglasses, looking at Bartholomew Kuma, who stood silently like an iron tower. "Your mission is to knock them all away and end all this?"

Kuma slowly turned around, facing Kizaru and Aokiji, his massive body standing tall, repeating that cold sentence:

"Just carrying out a mission."

"To carry out a mission?"

Kizaru's glasses reflected a white light, obscuring his eyes, but his voice turned cold. "Are you prepared to explain this to your superiors, Kuma? This is a very serious matter."

Big Bear remained silent.

"Mr. Garp, where are you going?"

Aokiji noticed that after Luffy disappeared, Garp only gave Kuma a deep look before turning around without hesitation and walking out of the battlefield.

"My mission is simply to capture Straw Hat Boy."

Garp didn't turn around, he just waved his hand, his back looking somewhat hunched and tired. "Now that he's been eliminated, hasn't my mission been completed?"

Aokiji opened his mouth, as if to say something.

If Luffy were really killed, would Mr. Garp still look so relieved and rushing away?

Given his temper, it would be strange if he didn't tear the bear apart.

However, while Kuma's sudden betrayal disrupted all plans and caused the operation to fail in the end, from another perspective, it also helped them.

In particular, it helped Garp out of a predicament.

If the fight continues, it will force Garp to take matters into his own hands.

Aokiji couldn't imagine the consequences.

Especially as that great war was about to begin.

That's good, at least we won't have to see Luffy in the next war.

This kid is a huge problem now, both in terms of ability and background.

"Sigh, this is really a headache," Aokiji scratched his curly hair, bent down to pick up his jacket that was lying to the side, dusted it off, and followed Garp. "It's just that this report is a bit difficult to write. Kizaru-kun, can you handle the follow-up here?"

Aokiji and Garp were called in halfway through the mission; Kizaru was the primary person in charge of carrying it out.

"Hey, hey, hey,"

Looking dejected, Kizaru watched the two who were about to slip away and couldn't help but complain, "There's the legendary pirate Rayleigh here, and you're just leaving everything to me? That's so irresponsible!"

"Hahaha."

Seeing this, Rayleigh laughed loudly and put his longsword back into the scabbard he had picked up sometime earlier. "Isn't this enough? Hasn't your navy already achieved its strategic objective? Just let this retired veteran who just wants to live out his retirement in peace go."

Kizaru stared expressionlessly at Rayleigh as he sheathed his sword.

He glanced at the silent, mountain-like Kuma, then at the backs of Garp and Aokiji as they left without a trace of regret, and finally sighed deeply, his face filled with utter despair.

"Where is this achieved? They really don't care about the elderly at all."

Kizaru muttered to himself, "When I get back, I'm afraid I'll get a real dressing down from above."
