Luffy, how can you become the Pirate King if you don't work hard!

"Heh, you probably haven't heard of this man's name, Rocks D. Giebeck."

Rayleigh paused, then looked at Luffy and Perona, "Before Roger's era, this man was the most powerful pirate on this sea."

Rocks D. Giebeck!

This strength lies not only in raw power, but also in the Rocks Pirates under Rocks' leadership.

You can tell just by the names of his crew members.

Without special circumstances, it's hard to imagine that such a pirate crew would fall apart.

Perona's hand had unconsciously landed on Luffy's shoulder; it was the first time she had ever heard the name of this pirate crew.

And this person,

"Lox?"

Perona was puzzled. "Why have I never heard of this name before? If he were such a powerful pirate, he should be known all over the world like Roger."

"Because the World Government erased everything about him."

Rayleigh said calmly, "It's like the prison in Impel Down Level 6, where legendary pirates were imprisoned. Their names and deeds have been erased from history. The World Government has wiped all traces of Rocks."

He squinted.

If Roger hadn't had such a huge influence that spread throughout the world, his fate would probably have been the same as Rocks'.

Nothing will be left behind; once a generation dies and forgets it, it will be completely forgotten.

This is what makes world governments so terrifying.

They can make someone whose fame has spread throughout the world disappear without a trace.

If you want to completely wipe out a country at sea, you might be able to do it.

After all, transportation and information access to this sea area are extremely limited.

A world government that controls both public opinion and the weapons of violence has enclosed the entire world in a giant prison.

"Lox?"

Luffy suddenly spoke up: "I think I've heard of it before."

Because he has a photographic memory, he can quickly recall any combination of those words that comes to mind.

"Ok?"

The golden lion was clearly taken aback.

How did this kid know?

Golden Lion looked at Luffy, "Where did you hear that from?"

There was a pause.

"history,"

Luffy said, "I often learn about this from Robin, and I've heard of the Rocks Pirates. But I only know the name; I know nothing else about them."

As an archaeologist, Robin has been studying the Void Century, and naturally comes into contact with those historical fragments that were erased by the World Government.

Although the Rocks Pirates were completely wiped out, some clues always remain in ancient books or ruins.

"Were you really studying?" Perona couldn't help but ask.

She always thought that Luffy and Hancock had been doing *that* kind of thing while locked in the room for so long.

Now that they heard he actually knew how to study, even the ghosts beside her showed expressions of surprise.

Luffy rolled his eyes. "How do you think I've managed to get through the past year?"

The One Piece training program includes courses in physical fitness, Haki, Devil Fruit abilities, and academic subjects.

Mathematics, physics, chemistry, geography, history... none of them are missing.

Thinking about this, Luffy's expression became somewhat constipated.

Those things were forcibly crammed into his head.

Perona: "......"

She suddenly felt a little sorry for Luffy.

"A historian? Straw Hat, you're really something else, learning everything!" Shiki laughed heartily.

Although the World Government tried every means to erase Rocks' existence, some clues would always be left behind.

Historians excel at deducing past events from subtle clues.

So it's normal that the other party would know some things about Rocks.

Golden Lion's face lit up with interest as he sat down and asked, "What do you know about the Rocks Pirates?"

He also had many feelings when talking about this name.

That was a long time ago, so long ago that many details have become blurred, but some things will never be forgotten.

"A powerful pirate crew that once gave the World Government a headache."

Luffy thought for a moment and continued, "But then I don't know what happened, they suddenly disappeared. I only know that there was a person named Rocks and a pirate crew. If you hadn't just said that, I wouldn't have known that Whitebeard and you guys were from that pirate crew."

He couldn't help but feel a little emotional.

Even Shiki the Golden Lion, Whitebeard, and the two current Four Emperors were once members of the Rocks Pirates, so it's no wonder that the Rocks Pirates suppressed an era.

Even he didn't have the confidence to take on four Emperors at once.

However, according to Shiki, they are allies, so Rocks doesn't need to fight all four Yonko at once. He just needs to have enough strength and charisma to suppress these guys.

In a sense, the forces that Luffy is currently surrounded by are very similar to this.

No wonder the World Government intervened personally during the Impel Down incident.

The admirals and fleet commanders of the Navy are, in the end, nothing more than henchmen of the World Government.

There are many other departments like the Navy in the world government.

Therefore, it is not difficult to carry out the task of erasing someone's deeds.

"Haha, it seems the World Government has put a lot of effort into eliminating Rocks."

Golden Lion said with a hint of sarcasm, "No wonder pirates these days only know Roger. Rocks' era was earlier and more chaotic than Roger's."

Luffy's curiosity was completely piqued.

"What exactly happened back then that forced the World Government to take action and erase the traces of such an influential pirate crew?"

He thought about it and made a guess.

Could it be that these guys went to attack Mary Geoise, the holy land of the Celestial Dragons?

I just asked the Golden Lion how to get to the New World, and he said to just fly there.

Using the power of the Float-Float Fruit, the ship flew across the Red Line.

With Shiki in charge, those lunatics in the Rocks Pirates might actually do something like attacking Mary Geoise if they really got carried away.

"This is a long story."

Golden Lion looked at Rayleigh with a complicated expression. "Speaking of which, there were quite a few people involved in that matter, not just the Rocks Pirates, but also the Roger Pirates and your grandfather Garp."

grandfather?

Luffy was clearly stunned when he heard Shiki mention Garp.

Is it a battle between pirates and the navy?

"If you're interested, I can tell you about the God Valley Incident that changed the world. It even involved those Celestial Dragons. Are you ready?"

"Prepare?"

Perona asked, "What preparations?"

"Hehehe, knowing these beings is like having a blank history of a hundred years; they can be erased by those beings at any time."

"exist?"

Luffy narrowed his eyes and grinned, "An existence other than the Five Elders?"

The Knights of God.

The Five Elders.

During this period, Luffy was constantly exposed to these characters in the World Government's news.

The golden lion laughed loudly, "And then there's the world!"

Golden Lion had contact with both the Knights of God and the Five Elders, but he was unaware of matters at a higher level.

However, after God Valley, whenever he recalled the past, Golden Lion would always remember the two words that Rocks repeatedly mentioned at the banquet after drinking.

world!

"The world?"

"Yes, the Celestial Dragons who represent this world. It all started at God Valley."

Celestial Dragons and God Valley.

Upon hearing this, Luffy vaguely realized the reason behind it.

Given his past behavior with the Celestial Dragons he encountered in the Sabaody Archipelago, this story was bound to be unsettling.

"Is God Valley the lair of the Celestial Dragons?" Luffy asked.

Just like Mary Geoise, it is inhabited by Celestial Dragons, which seems to explain why Garp was involved.

It sounds reasonable for naval heroes to protect the Celestial Dragons.

"No, that's not Celestial Dragon territory."

Golden Lion sneered, "If we are pirates, then those Celestial Dragons are a bunch of bandits. Not just any bandits, but notorious ones at that."

He paused, his disgust undisguised.
