Coincidence Or Fate

Its been 3 months since I decided to moved back to England with the support of Ma. I did not inform anyone else that I've moved back to England. I have taken up culinary and at the same time working at the local bar at night so I can help support myself as well. At the same time I continued all the lesson I started when I was young. This time I was more determined to accomplish all what I have started before. When I was young I took up martial arts, music lessons and cooking. But before I did it because my parents told me too. This time I did everything because it made me happy.

As I arrived at the local bar I was working at. I notice that the manager and staff were all flustered and busy. The manager was on the phone calling someone with a depress look on his face, while the staff was gossiping with each other.

"Emily, is something wrong." I said while putting my things away.

"Well, you know the person that normally sings in the bar. He got hit by a car and now his in the hospital. So right now the manager is freaking out on us since we don't have any entertainment tonight."

"Oh, I see... Well I'll go ahead and clear the back. Good luck!"

"Yeah, thank..."

I ignored what was happening in the front and went in the back for the kitchen. I changed my cloths and put on my chef jacket and apron. I washed my hands and bump into Boss Mike.

"Boss Mike, Sup?" I said while giving him a high five.

"Seem like trouble in the front." he said

"Yeah, they said the singer got hit by a car."

"Bloody hell, is he alright?"

"Dunno?"

"So... did they get a replacement?"

"Dunno, when I arrived the boss was already on the phone."

"Y'all were all doom..." yelled the man as he enter the kitchen in frustration.

"Boss, whats wrong?" I asked as I hand him a glass of water.

"That idiot Steven, got drunk while heading to work because his b*tch cheated on him and now was too drunk to notice the car while crossing the road."

We were all silence from what we heard. I was even more shock hearing the reason why he got hurt. That fool! I said to myself. I was there so I know how Steven felt but still he was a fool to me.

"Now we have no replacement at all..." he continued on talking at the same time feeling depress and his eye starred to redden.

"Boss don't be upset already." Boss mike said

"F*ck you, how can I not be upset, unlike you who hides back here. What am I gonna f*cking do in the front"

"Yo dude chill..."

While both of them continued on quarreling at each other. I started preparing all the ingredients that needs to be prepared for tonights meals. I started washing and slicing all the necessary ingredients. As I finished preparing all the ingredients I went to the back for some fresh air. I was already very cold outside and I did not bring a coat with me. I sat down on the floor and started humming to myself to calm me down.


Inside the kitchen

"Come on Boss... I'm sure you have loads of replacement." he said

"But they aren't that good."

"Hey, how about that couple that sung here last time."

"Thats the most horrible, stupidist idea I've heard..."

"How come?"

"That so called couple, that b*tch was Steven girlfriend."

"Bloody hell! Really? Sh*t!"

"Yeah you idiot..." I was so frustrated and depress that I really didn't know what to do anymore. But then I heard a sweet hum in the air. "Do you hear that?"

"Hear what?"

"That!"

"That? Huh?"

"Someone is singing..."

"Who?"

" Lets go find out."

We followed the sound of the hum and found ourselves at the back of the bar. Outside we saw Ange humming to herself at the same time singing some melodies of different songs. I did not make a sound first and continued listening to her voice to and was amazed by her talent. To think she was already a great chef but she also has a hidden talent.
