191. Being Tired Is Not a Reason

Translator: Ahve

“I’m not talking nonsense,” Yan Chuyang gnashed his teeth, “Being tired is not a reason. I’m also tired from studying and drawing every day, but I never neglect you. Whenever it is and whatever I do, I still want to be with you, talk to you, and get close to you. What about you then? Wei Qing, are you tired of it? Is it annoying that I’m being such a freeloader in your place?”

Wei Qing looked a bit displeased, “I’ve never thought of it that way. Is that all in your mind every day?”

Yan Chuyang looked down, whispering, “You didn’t say it, but that’s the truth. Honestly, from deep inside, if it wasn’t for how much I loved you, I would’ve left long ago.”

He also had dignity. However, in his current situation, he had no money and no power. Wei Qing was the only one he could rely on and gave him everything he had now. Yet Yan Chuyang was also a man who wanted be respected, and how could he ever feel free to live such a life with the man?

Wei Qing frowned, “What do you mean?”

Yan Chuyang raised his head, “I mean, I feel myself a toy boy. Like Lu Haolin said, I’m just a kept man.”

“Yan Chuyang!” Wei Qing yelled sullenly, “How could you say such words to humiliate yourself? Is it because you think I don’t dare to hurt you?”

The boy snorted, “You don’t dare to hurt me? You pushed me down to the ground just now! Remember?”

Wei Qing suppressed his anger, his voice cold, “I told you I didn’t mean it.”

Yan Chuyang looked straight into his eyes, “Really? I just wanted you to feel the sweat on my belly. Then why did you overreact that way? Wei Qing, it feels like you hate it when I want to get close to you. ”

“It’s nothing like that!”

Yan Chuyang suddenly leaned forward. He grabbed the man by the collar and was to kiss his chin.

Wei Qing’s back stiffened as he took a big step back subconsciously.

Yan Chuyang froze in embarrassment.

Kissing used to be the most common thing between them two.

Wei Qing liked kissing him very much. They kissed when they got up in the morning and went to sleep at night. They kissed when they were right next to each other. They kissed when watching TV and playing on the phone. Even when the man was wading through the paperwork, he would kiss the boy as long as he was free.

Yan Chuyang had long been used to it.

But now, Wei Qing was unwilling to let him kiss him.

Yan Chuyang could tell from the look in the man’s eyes that he was obviously refusing it.

And he couldn’t keep fooling himself anymore though the truth always hurt so much.

“Why… Why are you refusing my touch?” The boy clenched his fists, his voice trembling, “I just wanted to kiss you.”

Wei Qing turned away and said in a flat voice, “Go upstairs and get some rest first. I’ll go to the kitchen to cook something for you.”

As he spoke, the man was walking away.

Yan Chuyang grabbed his wrist and stared into his eyes, “I don’t want to eat now. I just want a kiss.”

Wei Qing’s heart trembled. If it had been in the past, he would have pulled the boy closer and kissed him affectionately without any hesitation. But now, there was more fear and uncontrollable  coldness deep in his heart.

He couldn’t figure out who the boy wanted to kiss indeed.

And what was the boy thinking while hugging him? Was it because of love or simply gratefulness?

Was the boy deeply touched by the generous guy who willingly offered him money or the man with him right now who he had only known for only four months?

Wei Qing wasn’t sure at all, nor did he dare to think about it for even one more minute.

Some things were meant to hurt him when being revealed.

“Talk to me.” Seeing the man silent, Yan Chuyang pulled his arm, “Don’t you want to talk to me now?”

Wei Qing stood there still, expressionless.

Yan Chuyang gritted his teeth, “Okay, I’ll take it as your consent. I’m going to kiss you now!”

“Stop it.” Wei Qing got rid of his hand and sighed, “Go upstairs and have a rest.”

“I’m not leaving.”

“Yan Chuyang!”

“I want to kiss you!”

“Do you know who you really want to kiss?” Wei Qing suddenly turned his head and roared in rage.

Yan Chuyang was so frightened that he turned pale. He hesitated, “What… What are you talking about?”

Seeing the boy’s face pale from fear, Wei Qing felt his heart ached. He couldn’t help but hold him close, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to yell at you. Don’t be afraid.”

Yan Chuyang quickly seized the opportunity to cling to Wei Qing’s waist tightly, “What happened to you? Tell me about it.”

Wei Qing remained silent for a while before he pushed the boy away. He pinched the boy’s chin, forcing him to look up at him.

“Yan Chuyang,” Wei Qing said softly, “Why do you like me?”

“I said it before,” the boy blinked. “Because you’re so very handsome.”

Wei Qing gritted his teeth, “But Wei Yuan is also good-looking, and so is Shen Shimin. Song Huaiqi looks fine too. Why am I the one you’re in love with when you have so many other choices?”

Yan Chuyang was stunned and said after a long silence, “But none of them are as good-looking as you.”

Wei Qing pushed the boy away and took a deep breath. He tried hard to suppress his anger and added, “But is there anything else attractive about me?”

“Of course,” Yan Chuyang said hurriedly.

Wei Qing’s eyes lit up as he stared at the boy like an eagle, “What is it?”

“You are very kind,” the boy pursed his lips and said firmly, “You don’t look so nice, but I know from the bottom of my heart that you’re kind and willing to help others.”

Yet the man wasn’t a bit pleased with what he said, looking as cold as marble.

He was kind? Not surprisingly, he knew the boy loved the guy who had helped him before, who was Song Huaiqi exactly.

“No. You’re wrong,” the man said in a gloomy voice. “I’m never kind. And I’m never willing to help others for nothing.”
