Crimson's Revenge

Reen smiled sadly while looking at him, he noticed her hand was shaking. He slowly reached out and grabbed her hand instinctively which made her let go of the box by accident.

The box fell on the ground spewing its content. Reen stood up abruptly and gathered the box and its contents hurriedly. Sae did the same. They did this silently; Reen held the box with and its cover while Sae had the chain, both then stood up.

Sae's phone buzzed. He took out his cell phone and look at the caller ID, it was Meera.

Reen subtly saw who it was, she inhaled deeply; she was doing it a lot this day she thought. She forced a smiled yet again.

"Well, let's not keep Meera waiting. Shall we?"

Reen walked passed Sae without looking back. Sae was dumfounded,

"Is that it? Will she not explain herself anymore? Why wasn't she angry? Why didn't she yell at me or even slapped me?"

He openly flirted with Meera in front her. So many questions circled his mind. He ran to catch up to her and pulled her hand.

"Wait-"

She turned and Sae saw a tear fell from her eyes. This was the first time he saw her cry, she was always a happy go lucky girl even when she was angry or sad she would never cry. He was speechless; all the words he wanted to say got struck on his throat.

She bit her lips trying hard to stop her tears from falling. She felt suffocated and as though something wanted to come out from her throat. She swallowed whatever it was back and whispered softly.

"Goodbye Sae."

His hands grip loosened and Reen took the opportunity to walked hurriedly leaving Sae staring at her retreating back.

Reen continued to walked then eventually run till she couldn't run no more. She vaguely noticed a peculiar couple near the aquarium fountain. She couldn't help but take a second look; there was a middle age man who held hands with a somewhat young woman. Their interaction was too intimate for a father and daughter relationship.

As she was thinking what made them looked peculiar in her eyes, her head started hurting and the feeling of something being lodged on her throat came back.

She held her head while something drip out from the corner of her mouth. Wiping it with the back of her hand, what she saw astonished her. It was actually blood.

She dazedly looked at it for a few more seconds and lifelessly continued walking, thoughts of trying to decipher this temporary situation completely disappeared. Her head hurting and mind wandering, she continued to aimlessly walk. As though unconsciously or embedded into her body, she started singing in a small voice.

♪While I'm walking all alone

On the sidewalk made of stone

The calmness of the night

That's been illuminated by the dim lights

Of the street lamps nearby

While few cars passes by♪

♪ The music that comes through the phone

Which is connected by an earphone

Surrounds me as I'm walking

And I sing along by humming ♪
