Crimson's Revenge

When Seth and Lilith found out that Reen was still alive they were seriously scared. The mercenary they had ordered to spearhead this investigation had brought them this piece of shocking news but before he could continue, Seth hurriedly reacted.

"D-ear what are we going to do? Though she's still a child as she's the only one who witnessed the whole scene with her testimony we will surely be caught!" He said anxiously

Not finding any reaction form Lilith, Seth thought she already had an idea as to what their next step is. He believes this woman who had orchestra that murder had a brilliant mind so he exhaled but he still feelt a bit nervous.

"I wanted to give you the chance to die together but since you didn't accept my good grace, don't blame me for being ruthless." She cursed through gritted teeth completely ignoring Seth.

Seth became nervous again. He didn't want to go to jail. He started to panic once more.

"Cough! Uhm… Madam, Master actually…" The ignored guard coughed to get their attention.

Two pairs of eyes stared at him. One was highly anxious while the other filled with viciousness.

Seeing this, the man could not help but shiver as he continued.

"Based on our men's investigation, they found out that because of the traumatic experience the young miss-the brat"

Gaining another deadly gaze that could kill from Lilith he changed the way he addressed Reen lessening the threat filled gaze from her. His back was covered in sweat at the continual high strung atmosphere.

"I fail as a mercenary." He could not help but bitterly thought.

He could not really be blamed by this reaction as unlike Lilith who without mercy murdered Reen's family he was still a newbie and was merely assigned as the head of the investigation team for his first mission.

"-the brat had forgotten who she was and all the memories she has before she woke up." He finally said, releasing the breath he himself didn't even know that he was holding.

"W-what?! Is that information accurate?" Seth hurriedly asked

The man nodded in affirmation. Lilith who was sitting in front of him, a desk between them while Seth who stood beside her. She without regards to her subordinate threw the nearest thing on the desk to the man which was unfortunately her phone.

"You imbecile! You should have said that before anything else!" She yelled at him as her face distorted in anger making her average looks quite ugly.

The man did not know whether to laugh or cry.

"I was still not done reporting and yet you already jumped into your on conclusion, can you even blame this on me."

He lamented his unfortunate self but wisely did not say anything as he bowed his head while blood drip at the right side of his forehead where the phone had hit him.

"Why didn't you throw the journal beside you or the lamp it would have been cheaper." He could not help sigh in agony.
