Shen Bai watched as Shen Lingxin sucked up to Shen Xia, causing her anger to well up to its breaking point! "Shen Lingxin, get over here now while I am still being nice!"

Hearing this caused Shen Xia's eyes to turn cold as she pulled Shen Lingxin behind her. "Or you will what!? Shen Bai, I may have never been one to stand up for myself, but you have to remember she is not only your blood related sister, but she is also only fourteen. If you wish to get violent with her, I do not mind beating you up here and now."

Seeing that cold look in Shen Xia's eyes that looked at her as if she was ready to kill, caused Shen Bai to shrink back. "Yo-You, what do you care what I do to my little sister!?"

"What, she was actually going to beat up her little sister!?"

"What do you expect from a girl who whores herself out just to scheme against her cousin."

"And to think I thought she was some kind of angel."

Hearing the words of the crowd caused Shen Bai's eyes to water up. She stared daggers at Shen Xia as she cried out pitifully: "You all have no clue!" Before running off into the school with tears in her eyes.

"Xiaxia, we should probably head to see my grandfather and let him know what is going on. This way, if your uncle shows, he will be ready." Quan Xinya suggested.

"Mmm... Let's bring Lingxin with us. I do not trust Shen Bai near her for the time being." Shen Xia turned and looked at Shen Lingxin and smiled. "Thank you for your words just now."

"No… It is something I have been harboring for many years now after I found out the truth. Xiaxia, I have something important to tell you later. But I would prefer to say it while grandmother and grandfather are together. " Shen Lingxin said in a low voice.

"Mmmm... After school, you will come home with me. That should be fine, right, Xinya?" Shen Xia asked. She couldn't leave Shen Lingxin alone.

"Why not? Having an extra for our slumber party will be fine, but I umm..." Quan Xinya realized that Shen Xia was not thinking about her current condition.

"It will be fine." Lilith could see the issue here and reassured everyone. Even without being turned, Lilith can hypnotize Shen Lingxin into forgetting anything that dealt with Shen Xia's ears and tail.

Shen Xia smiled and nodded her head. She did not forget about her condition, but she figured that with both Quan Xinya and Lilith there something could be done to fix the situation and also get to the bottom of Shen Lingxin's real motive. She did not wish to suspect the young girl, but everyone in the Shen family besides her grandparents could not be trusted. Shen Xia leaned over and whispered softly to Lilith, who nodded her head. "Then it is settled. Xin'er can come stay at my house for the time being."

"Wait, I can!?" Shen Lingxin thought she was going to have to beg! She had no place to go, and now after showing her true colors to Shen Bai, there was no way she was going to be able to go home!

"Mmm! You get to join the cute girl club! You can be our mascot!" Shen Xia teased as she pinched Shen Lingxin's nose.

Shen Linxin blushed and lowered her head. She had never been treated like this since her own sister didn't pay any attention to her, she only cared about herself. She didn't have a bad life, but there was no familial love either. She yearned for a family like the one her best friends had, where everyone cared and loved each other as family.

"See, she is so cute that it would be a shame not to make her our poster girl!" Shen Xia said jokingly. She always wanted a little sister, so she hoped that Shen Lingxin had no ulterior motives.

A few minutes later, they were standing in front of Quan He, Quan Xinya's grandfather and Principle of the school. "It's good that you came. I just got a call from the Shen family, namely your uncle Shen Xu. He should be here soon. I have already sent someone to drag Shen Bai here."

Shen Lingxin began to shake. She was scared of her father and did not want to be dragged back home. Shen Xia reached out and pulled Shen Lingxin into a hug after sensing her fear. "You will be fine. No one will be forcing you to go anywhere you do not want to go."

Shen Xia's words and warm embrace seemed to have worked because Shen Lingxin began to calm down. "Hah! Look at you two. I would like to know how you brainwashed my sister."

"Shen Bai, I'd shut up if I were you. My fists seem to be itching to hit things of late. I would hate for you to be accidentally hit because of your trashy mouth." Quan Xinya threatened with a smile as she began to shadowbox right next to her. Shen Bai gritted her teeth but didn't say anything. She would wait for her father to arrive.

Fifteen minutes later a middle aged man walked into the office wearing a grey suit. He looked at Shen Bai and then at Shen Xia and his other daughter Shen Lingxin. Seeing her hiding behind Shen Xia like she was, made him snort in anger. "Xin'er get over here now."

Shen Lingxin was about to go but was quickly stopped by Shen Xia. "Uncle, before you start scolding an innocent child I think you she hear what your good daughter Shen Bai had done."

"And why should I listen to an orphan child who has no status?" Shen Xu asked. He did not even try to hide the hostility in his voice.

"Shen Xu, you ungrateful bastard of a son! Is this how I raised you!?" An old man's voice could be heard coming from outside the door causing Shen Xu's face to turn black.
