Diary Of A Bitch

I woke up on my bed, it took two minutes to get my brain working properly. When I remembered the real life drama that happened moments ago, I started to panic. What did she mean by prepare?, what should I prepare for? and why did Mr. Gorgeous proclaim his love for me?, will he expect me to love him back?, or was it a ploy to get me back?. I sighed heavily and tapped around for my phone, as it was already really dark.

My hand landed on a hand at the edge of my bed and I screamed in fright. Well, I wasn't the only one screaming, whosoever sneaked up on me was also shouting. Within seconds the lights were turned on. I could see the disheveled look on Mr. Gorgeous' face, he was sitting by my bed and might have probably slept off, I wondered why he was screaming.

"Why were you screaming?". He asked hurriedly, trying without succeeding to adjust his signature expression back on his face.

" Why were you screaming? ". I asked curiously too, he looked away like a kid hiding a secret for fear of punishment.

" I asked first". He mumbled in a cute way that made me burst out laughing, the Almighty Mr. Gorgeous was afraid of the dark.

"You're scared of darkness, right?". My eyes wet with laughter.

" Of course not, I screamed because you screamed. Now tell me why you screamed, is it the nightmare again? ". Hint of worry and concern flashed in his eyes, maybe he's really in love with me, but do I want that love?.

" Vee?". He placed his hands on mine, somehow it felt good but I didn't want him getting ideas so I quickly withdrew my hands and played with my hair.

"I'm fine, I just got startled by another person's presence on my bed, that's all". He smiled sadly, I couldn't figure out why.

" I'm sorry about that, I was just really worried about you and I promised grandfather that I'll look after you, I must have slept off ". He explained with a serious expression on his face.

"So you were sleeping on duty young man, how should I punish you?....lemme see, I could make you lose your job in just a phone call". I teased as I wanted to lighten up the mood and divert the topic away from the topic the previous conversation was headed. He laughed briefly and turned serious again.

" I'm sorry Vee ". Oh here it comes, I dreaded him telling me 'I love you' to my face, that shit always weakens me

"You said that already right, I'd like to eat some cake. Let me go downstairs to get some, should I get for you too?". I didn't wait for his answer, I jumped out of the bed and made my to the entrance but something, no someone stopped me with a grab of my hand. Sparks flew as our skins came in contact, 'oh dear!, there's no escaping this'. I turned around to meet his sad, almost tearful eyes.

" I know you're trying to avoid the topic, but I should really apologize for starting up this mess, I should have stayed away, I shouldn't have gotten you into this family/friend thingy, I was selfish. I wanted you to help me selflessly just because I saved your life?, I'm sorry for dragging you into my family drama, I'm sorry for calling you a scheming gold digger, I'm sorry for reading your diary in short, I'm sorry for everything. My crimes are innumerable and I hope you forgive me". His sincere eyes touched the very essence of me (I meant my heart). For a man to humble himself and ask for forgiveness is rare, and even if I didn't love him back then(or so I thought), I felt the urge to make him feel better. There and then, I decided to be happy and take what life throws my way. And Mr. Gorgeous isn't totally a bad idea.


"Well, apology not accepted". His face fell and he let go of my hand, my heart squeezed with guilt, I just really wanted to see his reaction.

"You didn't let me finish, I won't accept an apology until you help me bake s chocolate cake".

He smiled broadly, his eyes lit up.

" I'm forgiven?".

"Hell no!, the cake ain't gonna prepare itself right?, race you downstairs. First to get to the kitchen will have the first slice of the cake".

" You shouldn't run in your condition it'll aff—". I was already in the kitchen by the time he finished his sentence.
