Distant Love

Its 7am as the alarm rang, Chris opened his eyes and extended his arm to stop the alarm. He stood up and stretched for a while then he went downstairs. His sister was already having breakfast, he joined her but there father is still in his room. So after the Breakfast, he went to his room, took a bath, got dressed and as he was about to , he saw his sister leaving as well, so he asked if he could drop her off since he is going the same way, it was an offer she couldn't refuse, so she hopped in and they took off. In the car, they started to chat about things but then Beatrix asked about last night's discussion.

Why did you ask me the question about trauma yesterday?; she asked looking curious.

Like i said its nothing, just wondering; Chris answered looking unsuspicious and kept his head straight on the road.

Come on, you know you can't lie to me?; Beatrix said as she cross her arms.

Yes and thats why i try to avoid you when i have a problem; he replied and they both laughed and stopped talking about it.

He dropped her at the college(where she studies psychology and she is in her last year), then he went straight to the hospital to see Sophie.

He then went to see the doctor with Mrs. John to ask about what needs to be done to help Sophie heal. Dr. Diego began to explain.

She needs people who can make her feel safe, inspire her, believe in her and that she will be well soon. You have to make sure no matter what she doesn't think of what happened to her as she is healing because it might make her break down again; the doctor said.

Ok doctor, that shouldn't be a problem, i will take care of all that; Chris said with assurance on his face as he smiled.

Am also here to do everything i can, she is my child and i will do whatever it takes to get her back; Mrs. John also assured the doctor.

Ok then we will start the theraphy tomorrow and we shall see where it leads us then, well thank you for complying with us; the doctor said as he stood from his chair to shake Chris's hand.

Chris and Mrs. John went back to sophie's room and began to talk about other things, to get to know each other well. They talked and talked and talked, Sophie ocassionally woke up to look at them and sleep again. It was 10pm, so Chris left for home as usual.

Its been almost 3 weeks into the theraphy. Now Sophie could stand, walk and do all her stuffs on her own but she still can't talk. The doctor congratulated them about the improvements. Chris will come everyday to check on them as usual. One day he was called by Sophie's mom that he should come ASAP. As he arrived, he rushed to Sophie's room but only to see everyting was fine. Mrs. John told him it was Sophie who asked for him. He went and sat next to her as he held her hands.

Is there anything wrong?; Chris asked looking worried.

Suddenly Sophie...........
