"And we're finally done... preparing the ingredients and tools. Didn't take us like what, an hour thanks to certain someone here?" Klein commented, clearly pertaining to Calix that is the only person with him right now

"Don't go sarcastic on me again, you know how the last time ended which was only a few minutes ago" Calix replied with a look that says Klein needs to stop

It took them so long just to prepare, they can't risk another round if they don't want their stomachs to continue grumbling how hungry they were

"Thanks for the reminder. For now, go heat up the oil first while I prepare the chicken"

"How do you expect me to turn on the stove when I can't go even at least a meter away from you?" Calix asked as Klein forgot their current situation

"Freaking handcuffs" Klein cursed before the two of them walks towards the stove and starts heating up a tall pan use to deep fry things

After that, they went back to where the ingredients were and starts seasoning the chicken

Klein put some flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper into a large transparent bowl before giving it a good mix

"What are you doing? Why aren't you chopping the garlic yet?" Klein asked with knitted brows and Calix looked at him with a face that says 'how can I even do that?'

It was the fault of the handcuffs again. If Klein were to move, Calix also has to do the same thing and it really sucks

"Then I'll just go put the breading on our chicken" Klein said before coating the chicken wings with his breading mixture and places them in a tray

Calix also decided to help with that since he got nothing else to do. It's not like he can chop garlic while Klein is breading the chicken

The two silently did what they should do but the silence didn't even last long

"Eew, your hand touched mine" Klein complained as the two of them put the coated chicken in the same area of the tray, causing that physical contact

"Seriously?"

"Err, fine, sorry, sorry. It already became my habit, okay? It's hard to change it"

"How did it even become your habit to act like that when it comes to me?"

Hearing that question, Klein looks at Calix with the face that screams  You serious? You don't know the reason?' and Calix played with his eyes

"I-It was a rhetorical question!" Calix said as he also realizes that the answer to his question only needs a person's common sense to find out

"Yeah, I thought so too" Klein replied while pursing his lips before he continue with the work while feeling it was a pity

"It would taste better if we marinate it first. Too bad we don't have enough time" Klein said with a sigh

They directly went into breading the chicken wings and it wouldn't be as good as if they marinated first

"You made it, I'm pretty sure it'll still taste delicious" Calix unconsciously replied and it was already too late when he realized how honest he was

"Oh, Mr. Airy is giving me a compliment. Should I feel delighted?"

"Act as if you didn't hear anything from me. Tsk, why didn't you just accept the compliment kindly just like how others would do?"

"Oh geez, don't act as if I still don't know that. You were practically wolfing my food every day!"

"You talk too much"

Klein just rolled his eyes and he didn't give an answer

After some time, all the chicken wings have already been coated with the breading and the two went to the sink to wash the breading off their hands

"Hey! That's gross, stop doing that!" Klein complained. Calix just has to wash his hand at the same time as him

This guy even deliberately places his hand above Klein so that the flour in his hand would fall down to Klein's hands

"You're still going to wash it off, why are you making a big deal out of this?" Calix asked with a face of annoyance. He knew to himself that he really places his hands above Klein to annoy him

"Oh really? So that's how it's going to be?" Klein said with a glare before wiping his still not fully washed hand into Calix's face

"You didn't!" Calix exclaimed out of shock to what Klein did

"Yes, I did" Klein answered confidently, and before he knew it, he was already pulled back to the kitchen counter

Calix dipped his hand in the leftover breading mixture and he did the same thing that Klein did to him

Since his hands were wet from water, the breading really sticks well and it became sticky when he wiped it on Klein's face

"Argh, you asshole, that's disgusting!" Klein said disgustedly while his mouth was completely wide open from shock

"You should have thought that it was disgusting when you did the same thing to me earlier!"

"I only put a little on you! Look at my face, I look like a breaded chicken!" Klein said while pointing at his face

He even looks a bit reddish-pink thanks to the paprika powder

"Hahaha yeah, you do look like that. Want me to put you in the oil now?" Calix asked sarcastically and Klein's eyes darkened

"Asshole!" Klein cursed before dipping one of his hands in the breading and grabbing a handful of it with the other

Klein wiped his hand again on Calix that madly resisted. No one would want someone to put breading on their face or other parts of their bodies

As for Klein's other hand, it threw the breading into Calix's face that instantly hissed from the pain

"Argh, Klein you asshole! It stings my eyes!"

Klein likes the teary condition of the bastard in front of him and he felt satisfied

Even with Calix's blurry eyes due to tears, he can still feel Klein's delight and he immediately grabs the bowl and poured its content on top of Klein's head that immediately shook the breading off his head

"Calix you freaking douchebag! That's disgusting! You'll give me dandruff!"

"Oh yeah? Cry about it!"

The two still wanted me to argue but their eyes really sting and they focuses on that first

After their eyes recovered a bit, the two started a glaring contest with each other

"Look at what you have done! You made a mess on my kitchen!"

Klein doesn't like dirtying his place but look at it now, there was breading all over the kitchen counter and the floor. It was such a big mess!

"You started it!"

"No, I didn't!

"Yes, you did!"

"No, I didn't!"

This goes on for a while until they got tired and just stood there like fools

"Argh, this is really disgusting. I need to shower!" Klein mumbled but how can he? He can't shower because of the handcuff on their wrist

"Then go shower. I also need one because of a certain someone"

"And how can we even shower?" Klein asked while pointing at the handcuff and Calix shrugs

"It's just taking a bath. I don't mind you seeing me, as long as you don't touch me" Calix said with a smirk to irritate Klein which was effective

"Such words are what I would really expect from a homophobe. Trust me, even if you are the only other man in the world, I still wouldn't touch you"

Calix felt really judged. He didn't mean it like that! He was just messing with Klein

"First of all, I am not a homophobe. I was just messing with you. And second, don't you think that you are just being sensitive?"

"Oh great, because all gays are sensitive"

"I didn't mean it like that!"

Calix almost had a headache. Why does this guy even think that he is homophobic? He was a friend of a bisexual!

Well, that also doesn't mean that a person that has an LGBTQIA+ friend cannot be homophobic

The point is, Calix was just treating Klein like he would treat other guys. If it was Cain or Tristan that was in the same situation as this one, he would also joke like that

"You don't need to make excuses. Your homophobia is reeking already!"

"Oh for fuck's sake! Come here!"

For the nth time today, Calix reached his limits and he drags Klein towards the bathroom

"Stop! What are you doing?!" Klein asked angrily and before he knows it, water was already hitting his body as Calix placed him under the shower before turning it on

"Has it not ever occurred to you that if we are uncomfortable taking a shower together, we can do it while having our clothes on?" Calix asked in a way that makes Klein feel like he was an idiot

"What? Because I'm gay you're uncomfortable?" Klein replied in a low voice as he was just making an excuse. He really hadn't thought about that at all
