Several hours later

"I-is this the power of studying? I felt like I would have full points!" Liam exclaimed in disbelief

Although he was always complaining ever since he was forced to study with Klein, it was still surprising that he has an easy time answering the test

There was almost no question that he find hard. This might be the easiest test he had ever done his entire life

"If you know that then you should study at least a week before the exam. Not just a day before or not studying at all" Klein replied

This result was to be expected. No matter how stupid a person is, they would still retain some knowledge if they study really hard

Not to mention, Liam is not stupid. He might not be ridiculously smart but he's at least average. Since he was forced to study, having a high score is a given

"Nah, that will never happen" Liam said with a shrug before looking at Shane that was keeping her silence all this time

Ever since Klein taught her a lesson, this woman would always be quiet in fear of an even bigger punishment

This makes Liam somewhat happy as he can mess with her as much as he wants

"Did our little Princess failed the exam? Is that the reason why you are so gloomy? Hehehe" Liam teased since he knew that Shane wouldn't retaliate in fear of Klein

Liam was right. Aside from a glare, he didn't receive any other thing

"Let's pack our things first. I'm hungry, let's eat" Klein said

Currently, the three were still inside their classroom. Klein's stomach was already complaining at him

Since he mostly study for more than a week, his appetite lowered significantly. There are still exam tomorrow since it'll be too much to take all of them in a single day but the pressure in his shoulder lessened already

This brought back Klein's appetite that was lost

The three put their things back to their bags before Klein took out his lunch boxes

Since he was busy studying, he wasn't able to prepare that much lunch. Most of which were already premade like dumplings and homemade chicken nuggets

There's not much variety but the quantity is quite large since Klein has a habit of making large batches of food so that he can just heat them up when the need arises

"Shouldn't we wait for the others first?" Liam asked although his eyes were already locked on the food that Klein prepared for the group

"Then they can join us. I don't have time to wait for them, I'm starving" Klein answered before starting to eat

Fortunately for Shane, she behaved well the past few days and Klein let her eat the food he cooked

The three started eating on their own and after a few minutes, Calix's group finally arrives

"Hey, not fair! You three are already eating without waiting for us!" Cain commented with a pout

Klein's home-cooked food is the only thing that he was looking forward to whenever he have classes. If he can't eat them, what is the point of attending?

"Just seat and eat" Klein said while waving his utensils. He was too hungry to make a big fuss

"Well, we have one less people that will eat. I guess it's not that bad hehe" Cain commented with a chuckle, pertaining to Calix that brought his own food - a sandwich that came from the cafeteria

Ever since that 'big fight' from the library, Calix's pride didn't allow him to eat Klein's food again

However, he was really regretting it already. He misses the taste of good food that is far superior compared to the food in the cafeteria

With a face green with envy, Calix sat down with the others before taking a bite from his unpalatable sandwich

It feels like he tasted heaven for weeks just to have a taste of hell after. The taste of the sandwich was almost unbearable for him

Even then, Calix didn't let that be shown in his face to prevent Klein from gloating at his current situation

'I need to win the bet and force him to make my food' Calix thought in his mind. He was the same as Klein

He also spent the past weeks studying for the exam to the point he felt like his head would explode already

At first, he just wants to win for his pride. But now, he planned on using the bet's pride to taste Klein's home-cooked food again

Therefore, he badly needed to win!

September 21 the Year 2022

The next day, the exam for the rest of the subjects that they didn't take yesterday took place

The students were finally free of their heavy duties. With the exam finished, they don't need to stay awake deep in the night to study

"Finally! I badly want to rest now!" Liam heaved a sigh of relief since all the exams are finally finished

Klein wouldn't drag him around anymore to study. He is free! Completely free!

Not to mention, tomorrow is even a rest day. This was one of the reasons why students love this university

The next day after every exam is a rest day for the students. Who wouldn't want something like that, right?

"True, I also need to rest" Klein agreed. The past weeks have been hell for him. He felt like he could sleep for a whole day since his fatigue reach a high level

"We should celebrate since the exams are finally over" Shane said and Klein immediately rolled his eyes at her

"Stop trying your luck. I wouldn't give you money to drink"

Since all of Shane's money was managed by Klein for the time being, it has been weeks already since she last got to drink alcohol

She misses the feeling of drinking already. Not only was it not every day that she can eat foods that are 'edible' for humans, but she also wasn't even allowed to drink!

This punishment of hers was even crueler than giving her a death sentence!

Shane can only purse her lips in dissatisfaction. When will she have a taste of her 'best friend' again?

Please remind her again why she just has to infuriate Klein this much?

Regret... Shane is deeply regretting it already! If she can come back to that time, she would surely not do it again!

If not for his looks, he would have a better relationship with Klein and he wouldn't be 'ban' from eating his food

"Tsk tsk tsk, I'm really torn. You're my best friend for years and I want to support you but Klein..." Cain trailed and Calix already knew what he meant

This guy really has a big crush on Klein. It was to the point that he was having a hard time choosing between his best friend and crush!

"Go support him if you want you scum. I still can't believe that you're having a hrs time choosing sides" Calix said through gritted teeth

Ever since they were young, the three of them were already friends. Compared that to Klein that Cain only knows for about a month!

Even though that was the case, Cain most of the time sides with Klein. This felt like a betrayal for Calix that at least wants the support of his friend

"Man, don't be like that. You know that I'm always on your side. I was just kidding!"

Kidding? Please! Calix knows that Cain is far from kidding! This guy really wants to side with Klein!

"Whatever, just be careful. I might use the bet's price to have Klein stop interacting with you" Calix said although he really doesn't mean that

He already planned on using the bet's price for his own sake if he ever won. There is no way that he would use it to isolate Cain from Klein

However, that is not something that Cain knows and it gave him a big scare

"What? No! Don't be so cruel! I'll really beat you up if you did that!" Cain threatened out of panic that causes Calix to roll his eyes

Who was it again that said he'll always side with Calix? All this bastard knows is to lie and it gave Calix an urge to beat him up
